Mayflower: Beyond the Horizon, Anthology of Young People's Writing 2019

This anthology is a collaboration of young people from Plymouth, UK and Plymouth, USA. The work featured commemorates the upcoming 400th anniversary of the Mayflower voyage in 1620. The students were asked to think about the theme of beyond the horizon and explore the feelings that the voyagers may have felt about their new lives. The students took this in many different directions; some focussing on the journey itself and others speaking more about the emotional changes that were taking place. This anthology contains stunning poetry, fantastic imagery and brilliant short stories and what emerges from the work is a true vision of life beyond the horizon.
