Four years after having her heart shattered, Meg Tanaka is finally over her good-for-nothing ex. By focusing on her career and helping her loved ones navigate their lives, Meg has recovered from--or at least buried--the hurt Aiden caused. Unfortunately, her old resentment rushes to the surface the moment she finds out he's back in town.
Aiden Howard has made a lot of mistakes in his life, but never one as bad as choosing his medical career over the love of his life. Still unable to get over losing Meg, he's come home with one mission: earning her forgiveness.
Despite Aiden's attempts to make amends for the past, Meg is determined not to give him another chance to break her heart. But how can she resist the one man she believes is her forever love?
As a teen, Marci Bolden skipped over young adult books and jumped right into reading women's fiction and romance novels.
Marci lives in the Midwest with her husband and numerous rescue pets. If she had an ounce of willpower, Marci would embrace healthy living but until cupcakes and wine are no longer available at the local grocery store, she’ll put that ambition on hold and appease her guilt by reading self-help books and promising to join a gym “soon.”
Newly branded and enhanced. I reread this book in it's full form and loved it. Marci is an amazing author that has created a world in Stonehill that makes you feel like you are coming home. Meg was hurt and betrayed by Aiden when he left her for the big city to follow his dreams. But, changing the direction of her life has everyone thinking that she gave up on her dreams because of a broken heart. So when Aiden comes back to town to right a wrong, things aren't easy. Can Meg forgive and forget. Is there a future for them. I love this series and am glad to see new life being brought to it. Can't wait for more from Marci.
Meg dropped out of med school & became a real estate agent. She had her heart broken 4 years ago by Aiden who had moved to New York after graduation from medical school. She was shocked to see him back in town!
A slow moving non-story about people who lead lives that are extremely uninteresting. I was raised a Catholic school girl. So I forced myself to finish it.
Second chance romance. H ran from h because he had abandonment issues. They meet again, he apologises sincerely, suddenly realises he wants her back- she is still single- and then slowly wins her back. I like that the communication is so great btw H/h, that h has had relationships in the 4 years gap and that the H wins her trust back gradually -over a period of months. But I don't get why she doesn't go on a single date with another guy in all these months, she doesn't even have a date for New Years or Valentine's - she's pretty, successful and single, hard to believe no guy asks her out. Anyway the author brings out the connection, the love btw H and h clearly even if it is a short read. Just wish I knew a bit more about H, what happened to him in NYC to make him change
