Enjoy the rip-roaring adventure of Books 1-3 all in one edition.
I have read one of the books in this series and felt it was good enough to get the whole set. I was not wrong. John Wilkes has developed a series of tales that will satisfy any of those readers who crave action while using enough tongue in cheek humor to delight those readers that wish light-hearted stories. I look forward to future stories in this series.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these three books. Not knowing where it could possibly go, with Wil being the only human out there, it turns out to be a witty, gripping adventure and I can't wait for book 4.
A series somewhere between Buck Rogers, and Farscape. A less than serious space opera about the adventures of the only human out in deep galactic space. Guns, spaceships, and strangely human aliens. What's not to like?
A little different from most sci-fi adventures. I liked it very much, would recommend to anyone who wants a funny adventure story. Plenty of action, aliens, travel, humor & character inter-reaction.
A really good, funny and well written series. The eponymous hero brings a fresh morality to the heaving mass of corruption that is the rest of the GC. You won’t be disappointed.
A rollicking adventure series with a host of one dimensional characters, where tropes, plot holes and gags better suited to a visual format abound. Don't get me wrong: it's a fun story, but I found it helpful to picture the characters and settings as a cartoon where such features are completely forgivable if it's zany enough. And, wow, my red pen was itching - it really could do with a solid proofreading. If you can ignore that though, you're in for a real easygoing yarn.
It's a good read but I'm amazed Marvel haven't been knocking on John's door asking for royalties If you like Joshua Dalzelles Omega Force you'll enjoy this. I'm not sure I would call it a comedy, more light reading with a few funny moments, but the funny moments do seem to occur more often as the story progresses I have already bought the next boxed set, so it is good enough for me to spend more money on
As mentiond befor it is written like a script but at times it seems to be first or third person. It's a bit Odd and distracting at times and I think it takes away from character development. But the characters are likable
A good trilogy of books with a good solid theme, with a nice twist of humour thrown in , well worth reading and I'm looking forward to reading more books by John Wilker
Nice enough light reading, but the sf was thin, the aliens were basically human in skin suits. Essentially there was no depth to any of the background. Disappointing.
