This was a great novella, very emotional but very enjoyable too. I love Sam Vickey's books and this one was no exception.

I really enjoyed this short novel. It’s told from two perspectives Alex whose wife and bandy daughter have been killed by a car and his therapist. She is struggling with a drink problem and her life is at rock bottom. She really needs help to. It follows their relationship as it develops with a few twists along the way. It’s a great book I wished it had been longer 😊

A bit disappointed

I have read three other books by this author and loved them all. I was excited to read about an alcoholic therapist but this weak and predictable plot was sophomoric. It was like a freshman creative writing assignment. I know its a novella but there was zero character development. You can easily skip this one.

My first Sam Vickery. I don’t usually read short stories but this one sounded interesting and was longer than most. A woman and her baby are killed in a hit and run. The husband’s reactions are well written and believable. The end.....I did not see coming. A good read.

Ridiculous story.

This story was so implausible that it was ridiculous. I would not recommend this story to anyone but the most casual reader.
