They don’t know I’ve switched places with my sister yet. It’s all part of the plan. My appearance isn’t the only thing I’ll need to change to get vengeance. I’ll need to break every nice bone in my body if I’m going to get justice.
Break them like they broke her.
My name is Genevieve Taylor. I’m not a nice girl. That is my twin, Jen, the sweetheart with the heart of gold that she expresses in her art. Jen used to be fearless, diving her way to a university scholarship without the crippling fears of the sport that I had developed after an accident almost drowned me.
My twin had been a star, shooting for the moon. I’m going to get it back for her.
I have three names, a list of bullies that tried to bring my sister down. Chris Harrison, the ruthless business empire heir that said my sister could only pass art history on her knees. Liam Stone, my secret crush from summer camp that rejected me because his old money standards didn’t include girls with racy families like my sister and I. Lastly, there’s Jordan Walsh, the mysterious new boy that has a reputation as a scoundrel and a matching, dangerous smile.
I know what I have to do. My weapons are prepared. A plan has been cleverly plotted with my sister. Only, I didn’t realize that it would all start with a kiss. Kisses.
What will I do if the bullies turn their attention on capturing me when I’m trying to drive them away? Do I run, or do I stand up and risk losing my own heart?

This is a reverse harem bully romance. It contains adult situations, including intimacy, violence and language that is intended for readers 18+. There is mention of bully behaviours, victimization and eating disorders.
**IMPORTANT** This is novella length at ~20,000 words. Please note that this is a complete standalone short story.
This was a very short book and as it is I guess it is ok, but I would like it as a longer book. I would like to see the characters more developed, the rivalries more thought through and the romance happening a bit slower and more of it. I found the scene in the barn to be very hot but then everything else happens so fast that you are just like what happened.
This girl Genevieve comes to her Dad’s house to visit her identical twin Jen, who is completely depressed because she has been bullied by the three hottest guys in school and the girlfriend of one of them. The twins each live with different parents who divorced when they were young. So they decide to switch places so Jen can get relief and Gen can get revenge.
The three guys end up kissing Gen and she does some stuff to get back at them. It all happens so fast, but it seems like it has the potential to be much better than it is. Though it wasn’t bad as it is.
Genie and Jen's parents have divorced but the two identical twin sisters have always been good friends and told each other everything. However, when Genie goes to visit her Dad and her sister, she is about to discover she is in for a shock as her normal happy twin is depressed and has been bullied at her school. Genie is furious as to how dare anyone treats her sister like this and so what she decides to do is switch places. Jen will take her place at her public school and Genie will take Jen's place and give the bullies a taste of her own medicine. Again this book which is a novella so was a quick read had a great premise but fell flat, as Genie rocks up to school and is her snarky self which immediately has the guys going What did you do to Jen? Then Genie gets her revenge but during this, the boys have staked their claim on Genie and starting to fall in love with her. By the end of the book, Genie will have the boys on their knees apologizing and then wham bam, they are all having sex with Genie. This novella moved far too quickly for me and had a great build-up then the flat outcome. A bit like great amazing foreplay and then the sex is awful. The Bully Switch does also contain a tiny bit of BDSM and is considered in that aspect an R18. I would say The Bully Switch for me was a borderline 3Ps read and considered a hit or miss read for those wanting to try it.
Sister comes to her twin's rescue from trio of bullies. The twist is a bit telegraphed (the cowboy was a bit obvious), but this story is an absolute pleasure.
The eroticism of the final chapter is a full payoff for the lead up and the HEA in the end gives a nice sense of closure.
True score: -5 stars. What was that? Whoever gave this five stars must have been reading another book. I don't know how to describe this book so I'll go with terrible mess.
The story starts with one twin, who lives apart from her sister, seeking revenge after she finds out her sister has been bullied. They decide to switch places. From the first page, the story rambles and is too wordy. The author tries to infuse humor and a sassy mouth into Gen, the avenging twin, but it does not work and just adds more marks to the terrible tally.
The scenes are disjointed and rarely make sense. Gen lusts after ever guy she meets. There is a coach who appears in one scene and says something like, "What was that?" after Gen does a bad dive. Suddenly he's concluded to be a sex predetor without rhyme or reason. It goes on like that throughout the book.
This reads like the author cut and pasted pieces of other people's work to form the sex scene at the end of the book. Its tone goes from somewhat horse breed/racing country USA to a decidedly British trois menage.
This book is a wreck. The author should have heeded the stop sign and saved a lot of readers the eye sore and mental anguish.
Amazing premise and writing style, with steamy characters but...
Start this with, author shows amazing potential. However, she had major issues with her novel and needs beta readers to,help, her figure out more satisfying reading. There was editing issues I found distracting. The story could have been A+. However, the author ended the book WAY too fast. The boys figure it out too fast, they fell too fast, there wasnt enough drama to make you truly invested. The main resolution happens "off screen" in an almost flippant manner. Its like she had an amazing beginning and then just ignored the middle and wrote an ending that would have been satisfying if not smashed into two paragraphs near the end. Tldr: great idea, poor execution. Would read more from author, but highly recommend she gets a better beta reader crew (always volunteering lol).
I was actually intrigued to read this book because of its cover. Its the kind of cover most would over look, but I thought why not give it a try? Especially as I have never read this Author before. The story itself was fine. It was somewhat a short story and easy to read in one sitting. This is a reverse harem story with high school aged characters. Without giving away spoilers, the bullying doesn't really occur to the main character. Since it was a short story, it was fast burn and concludes quickly, but with a steamy ending. Whilst the characters are teenagers, this is most definitely not a suitable read for teenagers.
A decent short read. I won't lie, I was kinda dissapointed with how fast the things were going irrespective of the fact the fmc holds her own even after getting infatuated with the three bullies.
Had it been a longer book like a 250+ book I am certain that it would have fared much much much better than a lot of rh bully books where the fmc thinks of getting revenge but is then lead astray with her vagina.
I enjoyed the Bully Switch and thought that Mercedes used empathy and understanding of the situation extremely well. She has an amazing way with characters that grab you as well. ( in in no way a bulling fan, so this was a first for me.) Another amazing story 5 stars my end. A lot of thought went into a sensitive issue this story shows it.
The supposed bullying is off-page and was caused by a simple misunderstanding Gen's revenge was pretty juvenile and didn't prove a point in any way. Gen started dating the 3 very quickly without a very good buildup.
If this story were longer, I suspect it would be better developed and I'd feel more invested in the story.
This was the first book of Mercedes’ that I have read and she has made another fan in me. Such a good book that reminds you that things aren’t always what they seem. Quick read that lets you get lost in the story.
This story is short fast paced and super cute. I enjoyed the plot and the twists and the twin switch. Fmc is super feisty, smart, funny and completely protective of her sister. A great fast read.
