Tighten up your seatbelts and get ready for another wild interstellar ride! Author, Christian Kallias, has done it again.
As usual you can expect great character and world building along with loads of action in Nemesis, the newest installment from the "Universe in Flames" series. The characters and storyline kerp growing in depth and strength and keeps you looking for the next installment. With non-stop action, there's one crisis after another waiting around every star. You will find everything you want in your heroes; strength, integrity, morals, and of course the weaknesses that make them believable.
"Nemesis" is the first installment of The Dark Legacy series and continues the adventures of Chase, his son Chris and brother Argos. You will find heroes and villians -- both old and new ones.
It's been about a year since Chase and the Earth Alliance saved the universe from the Obsidian Empire. The Alliance is rebuilding their defenses just in case they are needed again. Chase has given up everything and everyone while trying to find a cure for the Spectre's blood that infected Sarah. While searching for a cure, he picks up a distress call and heads to give aid and finds more than he expected. Emperor Altair also receives an urgent call that turn his blood cold. Are the Spectres really our universe?
This series is a must read for every space opera fan! I suggest starting with "The Universe in Flames" series" and if you're not hooked immediately, I'll be very surprised. Of course you can start with Nemesis, there is a "Previous in UIF" section that will bring you up to date, but you'll enjoy it so much more from the start.
I would love to see this series on the big or little screen. It would rival the greats: Star Trek, Battlestar Gallactia, Star Wars.

First of I must say that I had the honour of getting this book from the author as part of his ARC Team. This first book in the next stage of the saga brings the 'band' back together to help Chase search the unexplored regions of space to hopefully find a cure for his wife Sara. But that search also got a little more difficult with the Spector’s back and upto all their unholy evil ways. This first book is an emotional roller-coaster ride that will both excite and exhaust you both physically and emotionally. Recommended fully to all readers.

This is a new break off series that take place after the furies are defeated and now they face a new threat the Spectres.
Very well written love the ease in which this story flowed from the last set. you can read it alone and still know what is happening but if you have read the previous books by this author it makes the experience so much better. A lot of challenges to the lives of the group as well as those around them plenty of adventure and striff to keep you interested looking forward to reading more.

And the action continues
Dealing with one Spectre is scary enough, but knowing that ships full of Spectres are roaming our dimension, is truly terrifying. Two new characters are introduced in this story and I'm looking forward to getting to know them better. Once again the author brings lots of action, twists and turns. An enjoyable read.

Nice
I have been waiting for this new adventure with old friends! I was not disappointed. Christian does wonders taking our friends on new adventures with plots and subplots galore. I like the way this storyline went. Waiting “patiently” for the next book.

Good follow-up to "Universe in Flames"
Definitely need to read the first 10 book series before starting this one. Otherwise you'll have a hard time getting into the universe and story line.

Great series can’t wait for more
Great series can’t wait for more of this series I read all eleven books so far and haven’t had any regrets only want to get to the next in the series, can’t wait for book twelve.

Great Storyline

If you were saddened by the way Universe in Flames ended this is a must read. A great book - I am glad to have Chase and his friends back. I hope they can find a cure for Sarah

The story continues...
Chase keeps finding himself in FL situations. Someday, he'll find peace. I allows doesn't seem to be in a hurry to assist with that search just yet. 😉

Kallias juggles a large cast of characters and does it very well. He always gives us an ending to one book that makes you crave the next. Normally I prefer books that stand alone, even in a series, but in Kallias' series that isn't a "thing" for me because I know that his series' next book will be even better than the previous ones, and I will find myself rooting for the good guys.
