This looks to be book one in the Sarasota series. This was an enjoyable introduction to a new series as a well as to a new author for me. I loved reading about Azalea and Whelan. Azalea is on the hunt for her estranged father but finds herself in a bind on this journey. She has managed to end up broke, no friends and far from home. However, Whelan inserts himself in her path and she believes he is their to help her. This book introduces a lot of twists and turns and I found myself eager to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. A new twist? An answer to a previous twist? This is a great start for a new series and I will be very interested in book two and see what happens.

Secrets are power, and the person holding the town's secrets is just going to be visited by his own. John Millens daughter Azalea had turned up demanding to see him she was his secret. Whalen had been blackmailed by John for years, so when Azalea crashes into Whalens property, drink he takes charge as Azalea tells him her father's secret, now if Whalen and Azalea could work something out, just maybe they could reclaim their lives and help each other. A tremendous read this is the first book which was fast paced and quite intense.

I was really looking forward to this story. There were a lot of elements that called to me. I have to say I was disappointed. There were quite a few typos and it felt like there was a lot missing from the story. I am not sure if there was a book before this one or not to help with the background. With revisions I think this could be a better book.

This is my first time reading this author and I found this book to be wonderfully written with an intriguing plot. There is a lot of emotion and chemistry around the characters. It’s a book that doesn’t let you put it down once you start reading it. There is some darkness to it so if you have triggers please bear this in mind. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I’m looking forward to book 2 in the series.

Great Read
An amazing read that is easy to get caught up in. Plenty of suspense and intense excitement that had me on edge with an incredible desire to get to the end. A myriad of gripping emotions and amazing chemistry. A great read that I enjoyed and recommend.

it started out interesting and the dragged, typical HEA
