Malachite~

I have a wonderful life. I have no room to complain; between my brothers and their new mates, this is the most alive our home has felt since my parents died. Unfortunately, all of them being mated is making me miserable. When it was just the four of us, it was us against the world. Now they’re paired up and it’s only me and my dragon, Kesia. Until I happen to walk into the Overlord’s Lair and I see him: Quentin. Mine. Mate. As much as I want to win him over without telling him I’m a dragon rider and we’re mates—which I know he’d love—I’m not sure I can. The minute I’m around him I act like an idiot.

Quentin~

Every time the goofy guy walks into my store, he brightens my day, and I look forward to his daily visits. There’s just something about him that draws me to him, to the point he leaves me pining after him the moment he’s gone. But the thing is, I can tell he’s hiding something, and my wild imagination is coming up with the craziest explanations of the secrets he’s keeping. Maybe he’s a vampire that’s come to whisk me away—ridiculous, right? But a guy can dream. And I’ve definitely been dreaming of that big, muscular man wrapping me in his arms at night.

Malachite is the final book in The Brotherhood of Ormarr series. While each book focuses on a different couple, the overall story arc concludes in this installment. For maximum enjoyment, we suggest reading in order. Malachite is a m/m romance, and is recommended for adults 18 years and older.

Michele is married to an awesome guy that puts up with her and all the burnt dinners she makes—hey, sometimes characters are a bit distracting, and who doesn’t plot when they’re supposed to be cooking? They live together in Baltimore, Maryland with two little monsters, a three-legged princess, a four-legged goofball, and a cutie with giant ears (aka their two kids, their two cats, and their dog). She hopes to rescue another cat soon, and if her hubby wouldn’t kill her, she’d get more than one… and maybe a few more dogs as well.

She loves creating worlds filled with lots of love, chosen family, and of course, magic, but she also likes making the characters fight for that happy ending. She hopes to one day write all the stories in her head—even if there are too many to count!

A Joyfully Jay review.

2.5 stars

Malachite is the last brother to find his mate and also the last book in the Brotherhood of the Ormarr series. The book introduces us to Quentin and the formula from the beginning of the book is similar to the rest of the series with a brother finding his mate, but not being ready to acknowledge it. The brothers, the mates, and the dragons still remain the main draw of this series for me. I have struggled with the larger arc regarding the Brotherhood and this final book didn’t make that any better.

There was a lot that this book was looking to accomplish. There was Malachite finding his mate, as well as the brothers figuring out who was trying to harm the Brotherhood, Quentin finding his true purpose, and then wrapping up the finale for all the brothers, and it was too much for this one book as it was presented.

Read Michelle's review in its entirety here.

This was definitelty the best book in the series. Not only because it was longer but also because for me the balance between relationship development and story development was much better.
The story was intetesting and I would like a spin off or another book ... which would be possible

All in all a good read but definitely not a stand-alone book

This was a really good wrap up of the series. I do have a couple niggles, though. I hated when Quentin referred to Malachite as "gigantor". And he did it a lot - even when they were being intimate. It reminded me too much of a bad 80's cartoon and took me out of the narrative every time. And the epilogue was too too kinda everything. I think I need to make an appointment with my dentist after that epilogue. Pretty sure I have cavities...

No! This can’t be the end!

This was the sweetest romance of the series. Kite & Q are freaking adorable. Gigantor is a squishy romantic at heart and Q has the heart large enough to love him and all the dragons.

There is heartbreak, betrayal and violence but the Ormarr men are dragon riders. They protect the innocent and fight evil.

I’m sad that I’ve reached the end of the series but, was all wrapped up nicely with an epilogue that filled me with happiness.

Possible triggers: child abuse, spousal abuse, murders of children and more. Some parts are tough to read but it’s worth it in the end.
This series could NOT have ended more perfectly. I’m so overwhelmed. I sobbed so hard at the end and all through this thing. For so many different reasons. The only that saddens me about this book, is the levels of betrayals these boys had to endure after finding out the truth of everything. They all have been through so much. I knew who was partially behind it. I didn’t have a clue as to the other part, but I knew this one was going to hurt. But the surprise they got made it worth it. And I’m having a hard time deciding between this one and Eeli’s stories as being my favorite now lol.
For Malachite, he loves his family more than anything. But seeing everyone with their mates, especially Eeli with being so young, is starting to wear on him. He’s so happy for everyone, but it makes him yearn for his own. When he goes to a shop that Az frequents, he meets the shop owner, Quentin, and is quickly blown away. He’s perfect. In every way that Malachite has ever dreamed of. But as much as his dragon is pushing him to mate with Quentin, Malachite wants to take his time and woo him. But when bad enters Quentin’s shop late one night, Malachite has no choice now but to bring Quentin into their world for safe keeping. What Malachite doesn’t know, is it’s been a dream of Quentin’s since he was a young boy and hiding from abuse, to be in this world of dragons. And because it’s been his dream, he has qualms whatsoever about accepting everything that comes from their world. And the dragons ALL love him. But it’s not until everything comes to a final head, that Quentin’s real specialness is brought out. And how everyone’s lives are severely about to change. If they can just make it out alive.
If you guys haven’t read this series, I can’t tell you how much you are missing out. This book is just the perfect ending. It doesn’t mean it didn’t come with some very bad moments in it and everyone’s life, but when evil tries to reign, it usually does. Malachite knew his mate was special. To the bottom of his core, he knew, but he nor any of the rest of the family had no idea how much. And I love it so much. With all the horror Quentin had to endure in his life, he needed to know he was special in a way that was like no other. And he got that in spades. From the dragons who loved him from the first moment they saw him, to the mate he got that knew he hung the moon. And for Malachite, he finally found his home. Life wasn’t easy for them. Fighting the evil left them broken at times, but they healed with each other and they bonds they ALL formed with each other, made everything alright. Eventually. It made it easier knowing they were loved and had support. And for all they had to go through and were still enduring, it was a gift like no other.
I just can not express how much I loved this series and these guys. Quentin made this series ending the best ever. And I’m so happy I got to be a part of this world. Even if only for a moment. And don’t think I won’t be revisiting it often lol.

Malachite is one of the famous Ormarr brothers. He’s the gentle giant, the last unmated brother until he meets Quentin the owner of the Overlord’s lair. Malachite and his dragon, Kesia, recognized him instantly as their mate, but Malachite wants to win Quentin’s heart by himself, not because of the pull of the mate bond.
With their enemies being reckless and Quentin’s life in danger, Malachite may not have all the time he wants to win Quentin’s heart.
Malachite is the last book in the Brotherhood of Ormarr series. I adored this book.
Malachite, aka Kite, is unmated, he’s the only one of his brother without his partner and as much as he’s happy for them, Malachite’s lonely and a little bit jealous to be alone. He has Kesia, his dragon, but even with her, Kite feels alone, until he meets Quentin. I adored Malachite, really, he was my favorite brother, and I was dying to read his book. I wasn’t disappointed, he’s perfect. I loved how goofy and clumsy he is in front of Quentin, I loved his sensitivity, and I loved how he didn’t hide his pain and sadness in front of his man. I loved how the author wrote him, the huge mountain man, the fierce warrior with the biggest soft heart in the world.
Quentin is unique, and he lives in a fantasy world in his head. Meeting Malachite wasn’t on his agenda, but he embraces it with his whole heart. He trusts Malachite despite his own insecurities. I loved his reaction in front of Kesia when he discovers that Dragons are real. It was like reading my own reaction if I discover that dragons are real. He’s sweet, funny, and sensitive.
I was curious to see how the authors would have closed this series with the brothers, their mates, and their enemies. Who is the traitor? How will they defeat him and save the world? I was curious, and I wasn’t disappointed. Even if the book was focused on Kite and Quentin, the last part was about their mission, and I was completely captivated. The epilogue was beautiful and left open a door ,a tiny door, but still a door about a (possible-maybe-one-day-if-we-kidnap-the-authors-and-force-them-to-write) sequel.
It was a great series with a beautiful ending. This book is part of the series, so it’s better to read the three previous books before. You won’t regret it.

3.5 Stars!

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book but it goes live on June 10.

This is the conclusion of the 4 book Brotherhood of Ormarr series. Due to an overarching storyline I recommend reading each book in order.

This book feels like reading multiple books in 1 because we have Kite finding his mate love story, the conclusion of the story arc, and a long epilogue.

I absolutely loved the love story! I think these authors were genius in reigniting hope in all my fellow nerds with this one! Who doesn't want to stumble into a fantasy world of magic? I did think it was a little light on Q's background and I still have an unanswered question or 2 but I'm not really bothered by it.

I felt that the story arc conclusion and epilogue were a bit on the cheesey side which felt uncharacteristic considering most of the books portrayal real violence and adult situations.

I did enjoy these books and the epilogue was nice to see how things have changed in their lives in 10 years time.

Overall, this was a good series that I would recommend for anyone looking for MM fantasy/paranormal.

Gigantor - really?

I mean, as far as terms of endearment go, that's pretty bad. I actually really hated it. There were parts that didn't come together well for me, for example - Quinn had issues with his dad, the author makes it sound like a huge piece of the story, like it will be a big deal when it's first brought up. However, when the time comes, it has nothing to do with the plot, and it's kinda glossed over. The book would have been fine without it. Also, the end to the brotherhood aka the conflict that carried over through the whole series was pretty damn anti climatic. I mean, I was seriously like "wait, that's it?". I felt like more could have been done with that. Oh, and the bit with the portal .... kinda meh.

I did however, truly appreciate the epilogue that encompassed all the brothers. Don't know what the point was of making one of the offspring a brat, but whatever. At least there was some really good closure for the series. So, it was good, but not great.

I really liked that Malachite was so clumsy and adorable in the beginning around Quinton.
This couple were so cute together, complementing each other.
I loved how Quinton babied all of the dragons, it was really sweet.
The brothers all worked together to discover the leader of The Order and put an end to the terror.
I really liked how this series evolved. It all tied together really well.
A great story to finish the series.

I loved this couple they were so wholesome and heartwarming. Q was so sweet and I’m so happy that he got his happily ever after. Kesia was funny and I loved how she kept saying that humans are some complicated. Malachite was such a cinnamon roll and I loved his gentle giant vibes.

The only reason this wasn’t a 5/5 for me was because I felt like the overarching plot wasn’t super flushed out in the earlier books so when the big reveal happened it a like “ah yes whoever that guy was” I wish we got to meet more of the brotherhood in previous books so we could feel the impact of the betrayal a bit more.

As expected, everything comes to a head in this final book of the ‘Brotherhood of Ormarr’ series, revelations clarify what has really been going on, and the political machinations set in motion by various parties reach a boiling point. The alternative reality of these stories with its special tweaks has a lot to offer, and I have really enjoyed the creativity of its authors that has given me four wonderful adventures. In this fourth volume, the focus is on Malachite, the second oldest of the Ormarr brothers and his mate, an antiques store owner named Quentin with a love for dragons. I do recommend to read these books in order since they build on each other: the final exposure of the traitor, the explanation of who the wraiths and their evil riders are, and the resolution to the power struggle between the various factions only make sense with a knowledge of the back story.

The last book of The Brotherhood of Ormarr ... I feel like I've been reading this series forever. Normally I read two books in a series, take a break, then come back to it. Something about this one sucked me in and I've read this one from start to finish over the last four days. This review will have two parts; the love story between Kite and Q and the plot that happened there, and the conclusion and wrap up of the series.

Part one: The Love Story
I mentioned in my review of the last book that I was SO excited to read Malachite's book because he's my favorite brother and that is 100000% still true. He is truly, as Kyla would say, a gentle giant. Out of all the pairings in this book, Q was by far the most perfect match for Kite.

I think Quentin might be my favorite character in the whole series if we're being honest. If nothing else, read this book for Quentin. They were so sweet, tooth-rottingly sweet together (so cute). It felt natural.

The smut, as with all of these books, wasn't my favorite part of these books, but it wasn't what I was reading them for. Though it wasn't terrible, it didn't make me cringe... I would have been fine without it altogether. Is that just as bad? I don't know.

Notaro had the hardest task of adding a lot of information into the book that was made known in previous books without it feeling forced or awkward... I have to say, she did it almost flawlessly. She incorporated the details we needed to know from previous books into scenes as they happened, not for the first seven pages of the book as a recap without being a recap.

Part Two: The Conclusion and Wrap Up
I won't be giving away any spoilers, as a lot of super interesting things happen near the end of the book. They did a good job of wrapping everything up, not leaving any loose ends while also opening up the possibility for a spin-off series.
I do have a question though:

Overall:
I highly recommend this series. The world was super intriguing and you definitely fall in love with the brothers and their mates.

IF YOU SEE THIS, PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK ON MY NEW RATING AND REVIEW SYSTEM. IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD ADD, CHANGE OR REMOVE TO IMPROVE IT? PLEASE AND THANK YOU, LOVELY READERS.

*Writing is referring to how well the author writes. I mean no offense to the author by mentioning it, but it makes or breaks a book for me 100%.
1 = I couldn’t even get through the first five pages.
2 = Made it to 20-30% before it hurt too bad.
3 = Mostly finished or skipped to the end to finish because it's tolerable, but it wasn’t my favorite.
4 = Really good writing, character development, etc., couple things were weird but overlooked cause it was good enough.
5 = Perfect everything, obviously.

**Level of Smut is referring to how to tame vs explicit it is, which is why I went with this rating system. THIS IS NOT A RATING ON HOW MUCH I LIKED THE SMUT. Kissing and/or making out does not count as smut. Also, when I say ‘sex scene’, if someone has an orgasm, I’m considering it a sex scene; no matter how they get there. It doesn’t have to mean the actual act of intercourse. G (Score of 1) - No smut PG (2) - 1 sex scene books PG- 13 (3) - 2 sex scene books
R (4)- Your standard 3 sex scene book. These generally aren’t as long of sex scenes or as descriptive.
X-Rated (5) - all the good stuff is in here, baby, and a hell of a lot of it. This would also mean that the story is extremely descriptive, as well, and would have to include A LOT of sex for me to consider it X.

*** Quality of Smut is referring to how well the smut is written, according to my tastes. I have certain words and kinks, etc, that I am not a fan of and will automatically drop it down if I see it. That may not be the same case for you. I’ll try to include my reasoning if there’s anything specific. (A+ = 5 - E = 1)

**** Did it Make Me Sweat ;) ? Tbh, did it turn me on? Did I want to read more and more sex scenes (The answer is almost always yes)? This is different from quality because of the simple fact that the smut doesn’t ALWAYS have to be A+ quality to make me sweat… or does it??? I guess we’ll see.

This is the conclusion of the Brotherhood of Ormarr series. It is the story of the final brother, Malachite, finding his mate, or heart song. It is well written as are the previous books, and the imagery is beautifully descriptive.

Malachite, or Kite, is a VERY large man. He fears that even if he finds his mate, it will be awkward due to an uncomfortable size difference. As his brothers have all found their true loves, he is feeling antsy and a bit lonely. Kesia, his dragon, suggests that they just go to town, find their mate, and bring him home.

Kite decides to visit the store that Az frequents, especially after seeing the window display. However, he becomes a clumsy nincompoop when he sets eyes on the owner of the shop; who just so happens to be a couple inches shorter than Kite himself. He decides he is going to woo this man, not just let the mate bond take over.

Quentin loves fantasy. He dreams of magical creatures and heroes; it's a great way for him to escape reality. He's skeptical of Kite's motives, especially when he rushes off and cancels plans at the last minute. However, when he is scared and in danger, it is Kite that he calls; not the police. Q takes to the dragons very quickly and babies them all. He is not afraid of anything about the brothers and their lives, except when they are called away.

Unfortunately, the wraiths are attacking more and the dark riders are getting more aggressive and cruel. It turns out that some items from Q's collection are very important to the riders and their dragons. Sadly, the man in charge of the dark riders is also aware of the same information, or at least parts of it.

As the brothers decide the time has come for a reckoning, plans change on the go. Deceptions are revealed, and hard truths must be faced. However, one thing is made clear; one of the mates is important to the enemy, but no one knows why.

Actions happen quickly during battle, and a new power is born. Luckily, this ability falls into the hands of good and not evil, and leads to the culmination of the story. New promises are made, power changes hands, the innocent are released from their prisons, and new bonds are formed. The epilogue gives us a glimpse into our MCs lives many years in the future, and at that time, all of our characters and their families have their HEAs. The author clearly states that this is the end of The Brotherhood of Ormarr series. However, there is enough wiggle room for a spinoff series if the author chooses to reenter this world in the future.

Overall, there were a few things I would have preferred more clarity on, but it was a satisfying conclusion. I would like to see more from this world due to some foreshadowing that is never fulfilled. This is not a cliffhanger, just left some questions in my head.

Happy reading!

* I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *

I am not going to lie. This was rough and by far the worst of the series has to offer.

First I need to give a credit where it is due. This has improvements considering rest of the series. There is no kidnapping boyfriends, and they actually date, rather than just eye each other from distance and eye hump each other. So it made the "romantic" part much better, what little of it there was.

If you've read these books you know there isn't much romance going on, and the leads were perfect for each other. By that I mean I didn't like either of them, and they didn't really get to know each other, they just did nothing in particular, and they just looked at each other a lot and went "he is hot". I did read through one sex scene and was impressed that there wasn't lube but the guy could do a lot without lube. I think that is enough said about that.

What was very surprising that after about 60% of the book was done the writer decided to conclude the what hair thin plot there was. It felt like a whiplash and it was very shallow and bad. There was no build up, there was no motivation, I didn't know what was really at stake and why it did matter to the characters. There was three times in the book where it was padded out by the characters re-capping the series, and two times when they hinted something exciting was going to happen, but they immediately made a U-Turn.

The ending was really rough. It got to a point where I felt like I was reading teenagers first story, where the characters got what the writer was fantasizing. Thing is it didn't matter, it didn't add anything, it was padding or self fantasizing for the writer. There was also a fast-forward which again did not add anything or change anything.

I started reading the series in June of last year as I got an e-ink reader and man, if I'd known what I was into I wouldn't have picked this series up. This was an unplanned mess, which was more of the writer writing a shallow romance story. Women writing gay men and exploiting them for their own enjoyment. Writing how they want to do the horizontal mambo and when they do it, it is weird and unsexy, like horny teenager looking at rocks that look like breasts, buttocks or genitalia. Writing something that they know noting about, how it works or how it could feel. I haven't read many books but I think I discovered my very worst book series.

Malachite Ormarr has alway helped his oldest sibling, Azaran, raise and train his brothers; Zale and Eeli. Now that all of them have grown up he’s watched each one find their mate even the youngest Eeli. He and his dragon just don’t have any idea if it will ever happen.

Quentin is the owner of an eclectic shop of treasures in Dragum’s Cove. From prisms, gemstones to snow globes and a mysterious sword, book and antique ring.

On a visit to the strange little shop Malachite knows that Quentin is his mate. Although Malachites dragon is eager to take Quentin home, Malachite isn’t. Watching how his three brothers met their mates, Malachite wants to do things differently. He wants to court Quentin with flowers and lunch and really get to know him. Unfortunately nothing seems to go as planned and a major problem always involves the Order of Amsel. When Quentin is now in danger, Malachite has no choice but to take him home. Quentin is a surprise not only to Malachite but the entire Ormarr family. When it’s time for the final battle with the Order of Amsel, no one can even imagine that Quentin will become a major factor.

In reading/reviewing the entire series of “The Brotherhood of Ormarr”, I discovered a group of talented new authors and Michele Notaro and Sammi Cee wrap this series up perfectly. This is another addition that’s a quick and easy read with danger, sweet humor, magic and dragons. Plus, two nerdy and clumsy characters, Malachite and Quentin, but they are absolutely perfect for each other.

This chapter in the Ormarr’s lives have them facing the realization who is behind the Order of Amsel, but the Brothers Ormarr stand strong. From the very beginning of this series I always saw this about family: accepting, bonding with lot’s of fun, teasing, humor, understanding and love. The “Epilogue” brings a look into the future of the Ormarr family and how it has grown, along with the many fantastic dragons that are the stars of this series.

If you love magical dragon tales start with “Azaran” and follow it with “Zale” and “Eeli”. I still stick with my statement that “the cover art on all four of these books is absolutely stunning and certainly tells a magical story”.

This is the fourth book in The Brotherhood of Ormarr Series. So overall, I thought that this was the best book of the series. It had more of the overall series plot in it. Which was a bit of a problem for me as far as the other books are concerned. I think that there should have4 been more in the other 3 books. The first book all there was for me was the relationship between the 2 MC’s. Which is fine if that’s all your going for but when you care a plot through a series it needs to start in the first book. It needs to be clear as to what it is and that it is there and then build all the way through the series in each book finding out more learns secrets or new information until the final book where it concludes. Where in this series I didn’t even know what the series plot was in the first book or the second, the third it was more obvious but not “this is what the problem is”. And then in the final book it was the last part of this book that it became obvious what that plot was and then it was a bit anti climatic when it ended because it was here it and now it’s done. Now I need to add here that I really did like the ending and there was an epilogue that went years down the road and showed what was going on with all of the characters. I found the story and characters wonderful. Malachite and Quentin are the MC’s of this book and mates. In all I think all of the books in this series could’ve used some degree of help, but I did like the story idea, the characters and writing was good enough to get me through all 4 books. I can recommend this book worth reading. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

3,5*

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-
Away-book like
‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd,
‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya,
‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or
'Liberty' from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a
WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises
(like most of Andrew Grey’s books)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few
times a year (most romances where you can
enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader,
maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-
reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but
it was ok). It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too
many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an
absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole
line, dismissed, repeat the class

An unassuming but sweet romance amidst fantasy

I really enjoyed this ending to the Brothers of Ormarr! Malachite and Quentin were amusingly unique from the other brothers because at the beginning they were so.....normal. Odd right? With all the magic and mates and bad things happening, Malachite actually just meets his mate in everyday life and decides to woo him.

The mating was adorable because these two had such difficulty under completely normal circumstances. Malachite really wants to impress Quentin and make him fall in love, but he is so clumsy and bumbling when he tries. Anytime he wants to do something nice he gets so in his head that he gets nervous and makes things a bit worse. Quentin had some self esteem issues so he thinks that Malachite is either uninterested or trying to get something from him. The two always do their best to communicate and actually connect, which was so sweet.

I was worried about wrapping up the overarching plot of the Order, but that was deftly handled in the second half of the book. The crisis comes to a head but the brothers finally get a good tip to really go after who the Order is and what they are after. It is a good climax, though I felt that a bit more of the magic and the old book could have been explained. Regardless the way it ended was amazing a very good conclusion to this wonderful dragon series!

The saga concludes. Get ready for a wild ride. It is a funny, poignant, sexy story with unexpected events that shape the destiny of the Ormarr Brothers and rewrite the concept of the Brotherhood.
Malachite, the gentle giant, finds his fated mate in bookstore owner Quentin, his dragon, Kesia, wants to claim him Now. Malachite wants to woo him before telling him about dragons. Watch him become a bumbling, tongue twisted man with eyes on his prize. When Quentin realizes this wonderful man is interested in him, he can't believe it. After living in the fantasy worlds of his books, when Q meets Kite's dragon he is delighted, and babies her shamelessly. Their bonding is wonderful and funny, as missions continue to cockblock them. You will fall in love along with Kite & Q, finding their hidden strengths and joys.
As the events rush to a conclusion, riders, dragons and their mates are put in mortal danger. Betrayal from those trusted by the brothers, plus the revelation of the true villain behind it all add up to a powerful ending. I won't ruin it for you, enough said. Be sure to read the epilogue! You will love this book. What a way to end the series!
This book contains adult themes and language, hot MM sex, and violence and is intended for mature 18+ readers.

For me this series actually got better and better. In this case, like with the 3rd book, I think the added length probably helped add to the texture and depth of the story and characters. The dragons are the best, and each character, dragon, and couple are unique in their own ways. I found Kite so sweet in trying to actually woo Q. It was a very engaging, entertaining read. Things are wrapped nicely with a definite HEA plus a peek into their future. For some, the ending might be too "perfect" / sugary-sweet, but based on the tone set from the beginning I felt it stayed true. This was meant to be an uplifting series.

My one complaint might be the actual wrap up with the arch villian. The overall story arc, wraiths, and dark riders were wrapped up fine especially the wraiths. The mastermind's reason, how, and wrap up seemed anti-climatic and rushed with little depth etc... But not bad and still entertaining.

This series is an entertaining read with no major flaws, especially if dragons are your thing. Interesting concepts of how the dragons function in the modern world and their origin story. I loved all the m/c's. For those not fond of "Insta-love" (among even mates) this might not be your thing. Perfect for a light easy read.

I liked the first half of the book very much, both MCs are quirky and loving characters. It was funny and sweet and I wanted to rate it four stars.
But I really can't because the climax and aftermath were too sudden, too fantastical and way too simple - very disappointing. Suddenly it's like, 'Look, unexpected magic from this prophecy we just recently learned about! Now everything is resolved'. I know this book has magic and dragons, but it still didn't feel right that as soon as the bad guy is dead, magic makes everything more or less alright again. I would have liked a more grounded approach. What about other Brotherhood members who are corrupt and followed the bad guy, what about those who were kidnapped and brain-washed, what about mental issues from all the fighting, the loss and the tragedies the Ormarrs were part of or witnessed? I wanted a more grounded approach. At least the wraiths should have . It felt too fantastical in an unrealistic way.

I really enjoyed reading this MM fantasy romance & I found the characters quite well-developed and realistic with their emotional feelings, there is a lot of interaction between the characters of the previous books incorporated into this book but the reader does not get confused. The dragons are realistically portrayed with personalities & intuition. The story-line is interesting and well-written with a intriguing plot, that keeps the readers’ attention. This is the fourth book & the conclusion to the “Ormara Series” which is about four warrior men, their dragons & finding their mates.
There is: a gentle giant & the second eldest of the Ormarr brothers (Malachite), his bonded dragon (Kesia), his unexpected but most welcomed mate (Quentin) humor, magic, mystery, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, action, family, dragons, dragon riders, a brotherhood, a dark division of the Brotherhood (Order of Amstel), evil, wraiths, danger, threats, enemies, conspiracies, deceit, betrayal, traitors, attractions, confusion, clumsiness, explanations, memories, conflict, bonding, teasing, playfulness, happiness, love, some steam & a well-deserved happy conclusion with an amazing epilogue.

Dragons, snow-globes, magic rings and books with amazing action! Wow, what a story! I loved the idea of courting your mate, it created a really sweet element to this story. The story-line had me glued to my kindle. I really loved Malachite and Quentin, they were incredibly real and touchable characters and i am not ready for them to leave me. The writing was wonderful and i am so glad that i read this book!

I spent several hours reading this really well written story and i was not ready for it to end! The plot was wonderful and the characters were really well drawn. This is a remarkable read with lots of great story-telling. The main characters and the supporting characters are wonderful and the world-building really captured my imagination and attention. Their is humor, sorrow, emotion and love in this delightful story.

This is the fourth book in the The Brotherhood of Ormarr series and really must be read in order for you to have an understanding of the characters and the story-line. I am so wish that there were more books in this series.

3.5 stars

I rounded my rating up because I really have enjoyed this series, and liked Malachite and Quentin themselves. Unfortunately, I didn't much like the way that the overall story concluded.

There were too many unanswered questions for my liking. If Quentin's qualification for his ability was purity, how did the Order recognize him? What did the villain think would happen once Quentin wore the ring? Did he think that the gate would just open? Did he not know that he needed the book and knife? Or was there really a way to open the gate in a different way? Did the Order start only in the last fifty years? Or was the current head only its most recent leader? Why would the brothers bring their mates/family with them, fearing the possibility of attack, leaning the, seemingly, last surviving calma plants completely unprotected?

Overall, I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed with this book. But I will be interested to see if the authors expand this world for when the Dragon King calls.

Love, adventure, and dragons!
First of all I need to state how much I LOVE this series. The world that has been created by these amazing authors is magical, exciting, funny, heartwarming…I could go on and on…

Malachite: It is impossible to describe how much I adore this him! Gentle giant, sweet, strong, dedicated, fiercely protective...I will stop now because I could go on and on.

Quentin: Being a nerd who loves the paranormal it was impossible for me not to love him. He appears to be a bit shy and may I say a bit in need of being taken care of. Well that all changes when Malachite helps him realize how much he is worth and what we see is one of the most adaptable, loving, and strong characters in this whole series!

Malachite and Quentin together...
ALL THE FEELS...perfection.

I cannot say how much I LOVE this series. If you haven’t read the first 3 books please do. The only bad thing about this book it is the last in the series and I will miss these characters and their dragons (especially the dragons) so very much!

This was a wonderful conclusion to the series, focusing on the largest of the Ormarr brothers. Malachite’s personality as the gentle but fierce giant of the group has been built up over the series and just explodes on his and Quentin’s story. Whilst we haven’t seen much of Quentin but he charms quickly and the relationship development between Kite and Quentin has a different, slower-paced feel that the three previous brothers. Whilst the main kind of story has been dropped in across the series as little snippets, it concludes well here, without taking away from Kite/Quentin’s tale and overall the book offers a very satisfying conclusion to the series that makes you glad you stuck with it. But what really makes the series is the epilogue - each brother gets a sneak peak of their lives in the future and it really was the perfect way to finish.

The series started with a good opener and just got better and better. 5 stars for the finale.

What a fantastic way to finish a series! I loved this book right from the start, Malachite is just such an easy going and lovable man, just now needing his own mate after all of his brothers have found theirs. His perfect fit is Quentin. Cute with so much love to give but not having had the best past. Their courtship is only one half of the story as we also get to wrap up the series story arc of the Brothers of Ormarr. Sammi and Michele have given such an involving plot that you can really get stuck into and enjoy.
For a series, this has to be one of my favourite finishes. Everything is given an ending and the epilogue even brought a happy tear. Even though the span of time for these books isn't that long, it feels as though I've read the four brothers grow up as each has found their mate. This book as series are a definite recommendation from me, huge praise to all of the authors involved.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

I’ve truly enjoyed this entire series, and this was really a superb conclusion. Like the remainder, the story and characters are unique, interesting, and well done. Nice flow and balance, the authors collaborated perfectly and no missed notes.
Malachite was adorable in his earnestness and Quentin in his awkwardness. They are a perfect fit. So happy to see affectionate, strong, protective but gentle Malachite get his story and mate.
I also loved seeing the other brothers and dragons of course. And the resolution-wow!-I thought the mystery of what had been going on with the Brotherhood & Order was resolved perfectly and had several completely unexpected facets. That as well as just the overall conclusion was very unique and unpredictable. I loved Quentin’s part and certain new dragon pairings, very fitting and emotional. Perfect glimpse of the future at the end too.

Overall I very much enjoyed this book and the whole series. A must read if you love the genre!

The Brotherhood of Ormarr is a series comprised of four books written by different authors. I’m reviewing this book after I finished reading the entire series. The Brotherhood of Ormarr focuses on four brothers who are dragon riders and live in a world similar to our own contemporary world. Malachite is the fourth and last book in the series and cannot be read by itself. Read Azaran, Zale, and Eeli first.

Malachite is the second oldest brother. I was so happy to finally read his story. His courtship of Quentin was adorable and sugary sweet. I loved his relationship with Quentin, they fit together so well. This book had a lot of action and was a satisfying conclusion to the Brotherhood of Ormarr. The epilogue at the end was incredibly fluffy and everything I wanted in an epilogue.

Overall Rating: 4 Stars. The writing was decent and flowed well, and I adored the characters and dragons. Very well written.
