Book TBD
*When you buy a book written by Rosone and Watson, they have chosen to donate a portion of the proceeds to help support the following Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Operation Underground Railroad, and Water.
Peacekeepers is a terrific addition to Rosone and Watson’s works. The novel picks up immediately after the events in the first volume of this series—Rigged (which should definitely be read before jumping into this book). The battle between Democrats and Republicans for the presidency of the country has led to war. This war sets a large number of countries in the UN against the United States. Virtually all of the action—and there is a ton of armed combat—takes place in the outer ring of the states and on the two great oceans. There is a German/Russian push against the northern states and the Chinese threat coming from the South. Living in Michigan, I was intensely interested in the warfare that would eventually envelope my own community. It appears that there may be one or even two more volumes to come in this series and I wish I already had them. These are truly invigorating books.
If a person hasn't read the first of this series, Rigged, don't even bother with this one. Without the background of why the United Nations is invading the United States, a reader would be totally lost.
Pretty much this whole book is the U.S. military getting it's collective butts kicked by the U.N. China, France, Germany, Norway, and Belgium are all taking their best shots and taking over cities and states. Washington D.C. is bombed and the hardened shelters for congress and the president are bombed. The authors keep referring to the president probably being dead. I'm looking for him to reappear in a future book of this series.
Those readers who lean to the right, politically, will nod their heads in agreement when the book goes into how the liberals of California and Oregon split off from the United States and support the "New Order".
All in all not a bad read. Unfortunately this is book two of five and the final three have not been written as I review this one. Waiting a year or so for the final outcome might be too long.
Rosone and Watson but another home run. Holds your attention throughout. Well written without a lot of fluff and page fillers. Unfortunately, the plot is entirely plausible. I am waiting "patiently" for the next installment of this series.
I am loving this series. Well written as a reader I enjoy being pulled into the storyline. I'm today's climate this is not far fetched. On to the next book
Utter garbage. I stopped reading after a bit - this book is just ridiculous. The plot is just way too far out there. Soldiers basically crossing the line en masse to support what amounts to China and Russia controlling our government? Yeah, no. Seems the authors do not realize a soldiers oath is to support and defend The Constitution, not the President, Congress, Senate, Chairman Mao, Comrade Stalin, etc. Canada essentially letting China take over their country just to screw the US? And it just keeps heaping complete BS time and time and time again. Honestly, I am amazed I was able to get as far into this series as I did and that my eyes stayed in place with all the rolling they were doing. If my only choices were to continue reading this series or giving birth to a porcupine on fire, I would take the second, less painful option.

Great action, fast moving, believable characters, and terrific storytelling. My one problem is that they have blamed the wrong political party, it has been Trump and the. GOP that have betrayed America. They have openly worked with Russia and China to undermine and weaken our military.
Let me start off by saying that I am a huge fan of political thrillers. Also, I have read all 5 books in this series. This review applies to the whole series.
With any good political thriller there is a fine line between a believable story and going over the top. Unfortunately, James Rosone crosses that line.
The first book, Rigged, starts off with all of the elements of a good political thriller that was frighteningly prophetic. The book was written in 2018 and the president, called Jonathan Sachs in this series, was an obvious depiction of a toned down Donald Trump. When reelection time comes there is strong and incontrovertible evidence that the election was rigged by forces outside of the United States.
Sound familiar?
President Sachs, after showing the evidence, decides to reject the results of the election to the point where he wants a do-over. Of course, his opponent refuses to accept that. Now a U.N. so-called peacekeeping force, several European countries, China, and even Canada comes to the aid of the challenger to the point of a military invasion of the United States...only China has other motives.
All is good up to that point. Then we have 4 and a half books of military battle after military battle after military battle...repleat with all of the military acronyms and talk that only an experienced Marine might understand. In the process, everything imaginable gets thrown into the story to the point of absurd.
How many times do you need to hear a description of someone's head becoming a red mist of blood and brain matter? How many times do we need to hear that someone, while thinking, "blew out air as if he were blowing a smoke ring?"
Frankly, this series would have worked better as maybe two or three books. We got the message as to how bad the military situation was.
The last book finally got us back to the political thriller with a few more things tossed into the mix.
Mr. Rosone would have benefited by the advise of a good publisher rather than self-publishing.
Bang, Ziiiiz, big bang, rat-a-tat-a-rat-a-tat, Crash, flash, careful kid you'll put your eye out (sorry, wrong story), guess we have go get another president -- and a supreme court . . . The Evil United Nations camps out with the Evil Canada and the Evil Chinese camps out in Mexico . . . They invade the United States . . . 21 Democratic States and Governors are charged with sedition . . . (Spoiler) If China doesn't cut it out the heroic empire of the United States will nuke the largest dam (not damn since profanity, vulgarity and obscenity seems to be banished from the mouths of all the soldiers, sailors and marines) and three of the largest provenances in China won't be able to supply electricity anymore, all because of the evil Skull and Bones is plotting to control the world economy and China and the heroic and pure United States gets into a trade war which quickly gets into and shooting war. The one thing I learned from this novel are the multitude varieties of weapons available to kill, spindle and mutilate your fellow men.
The unthinkable has happened. The presidential election has been rigged, it's a sham. The new president elect isn't even aware of this intially. He has been purposefully kept in the dark. United nations forces have attacked America. They have landed ground forces and are also attacking American ships. Are sitting president has possibly been killed. America has now started to retaliate. Key cities in Europe who sent UN troops to attack America are heavily bombed. American civilians at home are attacking UN military forces. The fight is on. Neither side is relenting. A very believable scenario, unfortunately.
As a Veteran the scenarios, as artfully written here, are the sum of all fears. Whether or not any or all of these scenarios play out, China 2050 is WELL underway and the need to feed that forcefully held together nation will become an impossibility without relying on others...The calculation of whether to buy from the US or simply take it is most likely a daily exercise in the halls and walls of the ChiCom Elite shrines... Realizations that we hoped would never need to be thought out are brought to life on the pages you have written.... Looking forward to the rest of the series. I hope and pray this remains just Excellent Mil/Pol FICTION!
As a Veteran the scenarios, as artfully written here, are the sum of all fears. This is the story of an invasion of the USA by multiple nations and covers all levels from the very tactical to the political interactions. It's a pretty good book, number two of three or four in the series. The characters are generally familiar and if they aren't, they are introduced nicely. As the middle book in the series, it just seems to run out of words and one is expected to buy the next book. Yes, I will, but I'm disappointed at the marketing effort. And, don't try to read #2 without knowledge of #1. You'll be confused mightily.
What can I say? Wow? Holy shit? Fu×@*%"g hell? No spoilers, what a rollercoaster, steamroller ride. James and Miranda are at the top of their game. No one does it better. The story flies along like a juggernaut all the while twisting and turning. You think you know whats going to happen next, but you are wrong and Bang the story takes another arc.
Strong characters and duplicitous enemies, what more could you want. Now hurry up with the 3rd book. The baby may have to wait!
That's what I forgot to do. Read the first book, got this second one. Please stay busy on the third, forth etc. I have to say this resets the bar for political-techno-military thrillers. In at least 10 points of this volume I had to say " It can't get any better/worse but IT DID. The 2 last series World War III & Battlefield were great but this series makes those look like warm-ups. To both of you my highest praise to an author: My wife fell asleep 3 hours ago,and it's O-dark-thirty. Finished the book, now I can sleep. Bill Hodges
Fantastic Series that totally involves the reader!
Am binge reading right through book after book! Am going to ave to get some sleep once I finish! Very realistic and frightening depiction of the ramifications of an internal political dispute that is engineered and escalated by US enemies who then pull together to attack and invade the USA aided by some of our own military and citizens who do not recognize what us actually happening... A truly frightening look at what the future could hold.... and a totally engrossing series. DC Bravo and well done to the authors!
Generally I love all the Rosone WW3 novels. With this one, I was torn due to my love for Canada and how Rosone makes Canada look like one of the "bad guy" countries. Nothing would ever be further from the truth - even though this is a work of fiction. Can anyone ever imagine Canadians allowing the invasion of the US through their country? No chance. But as usual, his combat action writing is superb!
James Rosone and Miranda Watson give readers insight into a possible near future with Peacekeepers. The novel keeps readers on the edge of their seats as ex-pat Americans join UN forces in Canada to attack US citizens and government officials in order to take over the United States. You will feel your patriotic blood boil as you read how China, Russia, and what you thought were allies act against the US.
JR/MW. have penned a SYFY novel of action and adventure titled "Peacekeepers" which begin with an alleged President serving in the White House whose policies divide the country and as he is doing this publicity he as mage agreements with foreign power's to have them take over the US and he is to serve as King. His is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
Second explosive novel in the Falling Empires series
The U.N. invaded the United States of America with the attacks on D.C. and the US fleet in the oceans sinking some ships.
This story was about defending the ordinary citizens' home against the immoral foreign invaders. One of the two main characters, (one of them was the sitting President and the other was the elected president) was diabolical evil.
Enough realism emerges to cause me to take pause to recall that this is a fiction novel. Or, is it? As I’m reading this installment in the series, it’s late July 2020...hard to keep in mind we aren’t “there”, yet. Going to download book #3 now! (One item: Anderson, IN is MUCH farther than 10 miles from Indy...I live 20-22 miles north of Indy and Anderson is north of me. 😁)
I was a big fan of the first book and like many others I was captivated by the eerie similar storyline to what we are going through currently. In Peace Keepers the war fully starts and the country is invaded! The books reminds me of 1984s Red Dawn where the Soviets invade America. The narrator does a great job and I am please to see he narrated the entire Falling Empire series. James Rosone in my opinion is up there with Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn!
This is the second book in a series of five books. I certainly find this a scary scenario if all the planets aligned! These books follow very closely what is happening today and, I, for now, am very uncomfortable with the undoing of the United States. And, it disturbs me with the way people are switching sides so easily! I could see this type of unrest happening. The book does keep one on the edge of one’s seat. The story is a continuous page turner!
I just spent most of my day off listening to this great saga! The authors wrote this story in such a way that you could see the situation from different angles. And the tension of not knowing which side would win a fire fight was captivating. The fact that a scenario like this could in fact happen just raised the tension. The narration was superb and added immensely to the impact of the story. I cannot wait to listen to the third book!
As a follow on to Rigged, this takes us to the bloody nose our nation would be receiving on so many fronts. As a retired Army officer, the slow but realistic response upsets me. I sincerely hope the next book starts returning the bloody nose with a couple of black eyes. Great read.
I loved the World War III Series, but you've really outdoen yourselves with this series. I'm scared, truthfully, as this is all so very possible and the events you put forth are so very true to this day! Wonderful writing and wonderful series! Thank you both! I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment.
I have been looking for a series similar to Kurt Schlichter’s Peoples Republic and Indian Country. These authors knocked my socks off. Many times authors provide to many details but they provide the perfect amount and still have plenty of content. Better than Tom Clancy in my book.
I had to keep reminding myself that I was reading a novel, not the newspaper
it’s unbelievable how the authors can be so on point with current affairs. You have to keep doing a reality check every so often as you read. The writing and story keep your heart beating just a little faster. Can’t wait for book 3.
Fast paced political thriller evolving into war book and apocalypse.
Not as good as the first book, this one generally jumps from one battle to another. There is much less political action. While the book is still a fast and enjoyable read it ends abruptly, leaving a sense that the author intends to pump out as many books as his audience will tolerate - without a conclusion.
I have this strange need to look up on google maps the places mentioned, especially in the Kosovo area and then the Canadian border. I really do find stories of were allies attack their kith and kin, brothers and sisters in arms alarming and treachery at worse. I know its a story but I suspect it part of the experience.
There are part of this book that are plain stupid, from a practical perspective — but, in general, the story line kept me interested in wanting to know how it ended. (Actually, it didn’t end, it was just cut-off, so that the authors could publish their Book #3 of the series.)
