I was absolutely glued to this. It’s a creative piece of urban fantasy with a credible protagonist and diversely sexy blokes. This is a slow burn so there isn’t really any significant sex in here, but if you like RH this is a good one.

I was immediately attracted by the cover, we see Selena.
It is a mid fae mi succubes. She who thought to be a normal student, that's wrong. She will have to learn to control her powers because otherwise she will kill someone. She will make friends who will guide her in her new life. Especially since she learns that her parents are not her real parents.
A paranormal romance that I loved, the author takes us into the world of fae and succubes with brilliance. A captivating, addictive story full of suspense and twists, can wait to read the book two.

Fae Like Me follows the journey of discovery for little Selena, a girl who grew up human but now possesses great power she never knew existed. Thrust upon a world of magical beings, Selena first witnesses a magical encounter in the form of her best friend being possessed by a demon. But as she discovers more about this world she never knew of, she also begins to learn more about where she came from. Will finding out who her parents are help her to control the powers, or will they be her downfall?
A tale woven with intrigue and mystery, you never know just what is going to happen next. This story is told in multiple POV, which is great as we get to see some behind the scenes moments that otherwise would be missed if all in one POV. Lucy Auburn has been able to interweave the regular human world with a mystical Fae world we know not of. I cannot wait to see what happens next in the Selena Pierce series. It is also great to see that with her many love interests (with this being a Reverse Harem novel), there is not one character that overpowers any other, plus there is the added bonus of the female love interest.

This is my 1st read and review for this author and it’s a fantastic Reverse Harem story. I like a sassy stubborn all in kind of heroine and Selena is definitely that and more. Selena is a orphan having no one and nothing she learns that she is more than a human she is a succubus. A fantastic journey of discovering what she can do with her powers and with the other characters makes this story one great Reverse Harem, there’s mystery, action, adventure, suspense and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. A 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the first time I have read a book by this author and it won't be the last. I love the FMC Serena, although she faced hard times she didn't rely on a man to sort or wimped out. She was aware of her limits and addressed them, not stormed ahead thinking she knew everything. It was refreshing as a few books in the genre have fallen into this trap. The end was a slight cliffhanger but definitely bearable, especially considering the author hinted the second book would be out in September ( fingered crossed).

When I heard that this was going to be an RH inspired by Lost Girl I had to jump on it. Lost Girl is one of the most underrated fantasy shows and when I watched it I always thought “Can’t she just have them all?” Enter Selena. Selena has such a tender heart and soul. She’s just found out she’s a succubus and is trying to navigate this new dangerously powerful side of herself. There were times I’d get frustrated with her wanting her to embrace her kick booty side of herself, but had to keep reminding myself she’s a baby succubus and not Bo. I was a little bummed that we don't really get to know Selena a whole lot outside of her current fae crisis.
This is definitely a slow burn, an excruciating slow burn for a succubus. I can definitely see where the budding relationships are coming from and it’s fun to try and guess who is all going to be in her harem. I definitely sense a bit of insta list amongst them, though I would have liked to see more of an emotional development with her potential lovers.
Overall I love the concept and there is a lot of promise with this story. I would like to get to know all of our characters, especially Selena, on more of a personal level with themselves and their relationships with one another. When they eventually fall in love I want to believe it.

DNF at 60% but I’d already given up at 40%
Reading this one gave me a sense of deja vu. Selena is a newly awakened succubus with no clue who she is or what she’s doing. She can’t control her powers or desires, and although she doesn’t want to hurt anyone can’t help herself. She’s also a little whiny in a teenager way.
Detective Hardass ruined this for me at the start. He came across as a bully and I couldn’t stand him but I did like the duplicate thing and his probably better half. Then we have Naomi the dark hunter, the doctor and the ambassador. All forbidden. Elah and Vincent seemed interesting, but I got bored of struggling through. Already I was getting Lost Girl vibes and after the introduction of the characters and reading the blurb for the next one, I can see that’s the direction things are going. I’ll skip this one.

Pleasantly surprised by this book! Had a pretty diverse cast - both POC and LGBTQI+ - and an interesting world that continued growing throughout the book (at first it seemed thin on the ground, but that is part of the plot). At first Selena was, to me, slightly annoying, but I think her situation revealed some very humane traits about her, which made her more loveable. Possibly my favourite and least expected perk of the book was the discussion of consent between Selena and Elah; he was incredibly understanding and patient, and not in a patronising or overly-written way (as means of the writer emphasising that they're aware of such things), but just in an educated and normal way (shorthand: the way it should be).

Really interesting story.
Great world building. This story is created and based in the human world but there is also the Realm of Light for the Fae and the Shadow Realm for the banished and dark Fae. I really like how Lucy has constructed these worlds.
The female MC is a succubus Fae but her blood tells her that she is more. Her character flips between awkward girl and succubus powered girl.
I love how the characters traveled between realms, I thought that was really cool.
This is a very interesting story about demon possessions, dark Fae, lightbloods and ultimately about a girl who is discovering her powers as a newly activated succubus and all that these powers offer.

Selena has been raised as a human but after a night out with her friend finds herself caught up in the supernatural world and realizing that she doesn’t really know who or what she is. This is a slow burn RH and we meet 5 potential candidate for the harem. Selena is a little lost and overwhelmed by the new world she is in, but it allows the reader to learn about it with her. This is the start to the series and it does end with a dramatic twist/teaser for the next book. This is the first book I have read by this author. I enjoyed the charters and twists and will be checking out the next book in the series!

This is an outstanding first in series. What do you do when you find out that monsters are real and you may be one. That is now Selena's world. She has a whole new culture to learn and navigate through, plus her powers are stronger than anyone knew. I think she did pretty good handling everything until the end. There are shifters, dark hunters, witches, demons and all kinds of fae. Plus all the action and intrigue that comes with searching for a serial killer. There is not a dull moment in this book and it is enthralling and will give you one heck of a ride. This is a must-read book. I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

I tried I really did. I mean I went all the way to 53% but I just couldn't do it. I dont know why but Selena bothered me. She was mostly not comfortable in her skin except for when she was sucking the life out of people and she had to force herself and remind herself to me "strong". The possible people for the harem were all annoying and rude except for her random engagement to some guy who is perfect... bah blah blah.
I dont know...maybe I wasn't in the mood to read about a whinny heroine and her moody heram...

A good surprise for me this interesting and intriguing story where the main character was a succubus. Like how the author develops the suspense and keeps me expectantly. Good narrations and descriptions that have me eagerly reading. Action, mystery, magic, darkness, suspense, intrigue, violence, lot of demons and heated passion. This story has all that I like in a story, but sadly there was a cliffhanger and I have to wait to continue enjoying.

This is the first book of the series. A well written intriguing storyline. The characters are solid and likable. The story is about Serena learning to control her powers while picking up a mate or three. The plot flows seamlessly with the story and is filled with magic, drama, action and romance. I would recommend this book.

It was a good storyline but I felt it may have been drawn out a little too much. I enjoyed the different paranormal beings in it but just had a hard time wrapping my head around it. I don't normally have such a hard time finishing a book. but I had to make myself because I refuse to leave a book unfinished. I wish the storyline was more upbeat.

Good read
Not your everyday story. The world-building was great and the characters were well-developed. At times I wanted to shake the heroine, then the author just because I wanted to see more development with the Male love interests. Those parts were a bit too slow for me, not that I need straight into the sack lol, but can I have some attraction and dialog more than just explaining how the world works. Anyway interested to see where this story is headed.

Interesting and new
Intriguing and completely unique story.
The main character Selena has a lot to learn, thrust into a world she doesn’t understand with powers she can’t control all while expected to learn or die.
I really enjoyed the book and the plot. The end actually surprised me because even though I knew what was going to happen, I was still surprised at the way it happened.
I’m downloading the second book now.
Can’t wait to start it.

This was one thrilling ride after another. Selena has just had a huge bomb dropped on her, she's not human!!! Between her best friend being charged for a murder she didn't commit and learning of her family ancestry, I am surprised she didn't go crazy. This book will not disappoint in any way shape or form.

I'm on the fence about this one.
I liked the plot, but not sure about how it eas executed.
I kind felt like it was all over the place.
However, that didn't stop me from getting sucked in.
I was hoping the second one was already out that way I could read it and figure out how I liked the series.

Could not put down this book.
If you love mystery, fantasy and of course fairy's then read this book. Similar feel to lost girl (TV series) involves a sexy succubus discovering their powers and trying to fight the evil inside them. Great read.. Just wish the book was longer and had more lovers.

Liked It
I liked this, but it was frustrating at times. The way Naomi and Leon kept reacting to Selena's true nature pissed me off at first. It wasn't like she was to blame for it. Luckily, book two is already out, because that cliffhanger was annoying. Selena's better hope someone comes to her rescue.

Great read
Great read and looking forward to the next in the series. It felt more like a novel with multiple romance interests than just a romance which I enjoyed aswell as getting a good read on the main character

Liked the book. Every time i had to put it down I could not wait to read more. Selina pulls you in the story. Sometimes it goes a little to fast for me but it is not really annoying.

Eh...
Fell in love with Selena from the but it didn't have as much of the "reverse harem" as I had hoped. Hopefully the next book has some steamy scenes as well as the amazing story line.

I didn't HATE it.

I liked it though. The pace was decent as was the world building. I didn't really click with MC as much as I would have liked. The emotions kinda fell flat for me.

This was...ok. There were a few grammatical issues, but I could deal with them. I felt like the plot struggled a bit, but overall I enjoyed it.
It does end on a cliffhanger, but I'll give book two a chance.
