Great book - even with bad editing!!!

I love reading about r&b and soul music stars. This one didn't disappoint. I've always loved the Temptations, even though I'm about 4 or 5 years younger than the author who is Dennis cousin. It was sad and disappointing that someone who had women, wives, and children all over the place ended up alone and secluded as if no one cared about him. Those who did care about him - his family were shut out until the end.

My biggest surprise was how his life paralleled David Ruffin's in so many ways yet he still went down the same paths especially thealways bad news drug path.

I appreciate Tony's warning at the beginning of the book regarding poor editing, so I willingly overlooked it with no problem reading or understanding the book.

Thank you for this story. I can tell you loved your cousin and only wanted to clear his name as best you could.

I finally took a day to read the book and I'm glad I did.I really enjoyed Mr Fullers approach of telling the story of himself and cousin ,Dennis Edwards. It felt like a friend was just chatting with me ,telling me about their life.
I think it's great to read a biography written by someone who actually knew and spent time with the person.
I highly recommend this book to fans of Dennis Edwards and/or The Temptation. Good read!!!

What a Life

This book gives a wonderful peak into the life of an amazing musician. I enjoyed reading the names of so many songs I enjoyed growing up. My mind would start singing along. As I read this book I wonder many other greats have slipped away unnoticed. This book reminds us that we should remember them one and all.

Disappointed in this book

Very disappointed that there were very few photos, and I don’t think it gave any character to who this man, was. Dope and women is a lot of what it talks about for $22 and of course, family and singing but it’s disappointing there’s no photo gallery. Sorry, don’t mean to be harsh but I was expecting much more.

Honest and Real

An indepth and inside view of Dennis Edward's life as he chose to live it, written by his second cousin Tony Fuller. Through his writing, I feel like I know Dennis personally. Thanks for the memories and great songs, Dennis!

This is a casual recounting of the life of Dennis Edwards through the eyes of his admiring cousin, Tony. I found it to be an enjoyable, entertaining and enlightening "slice of life" read.
