Urma

Rate this book
Thousands of years ago, the inhabitants of Urma, a civilization trapped by a surrounding giant stone wall that spread miles around the desert, never saw the outside world, if there was any. This civilization turned corrupt because of the disagreements the inhabitants had about what they believed existed on the other side of the stone wall. They fought in gruesome wars against each other about their beliefs. Mautoo, a young boy, lived with his Grandfather, Arronoc, as outcasts. They lived outside the city of Urma, choosing not to follow the evil ways of the majority. For reasons known by his Grandfather but never told to Mautoo, the rest of Mautoo's family had been murdered. One day, Mautoo's Grandfather was unsuspectingly taken away. As his Grandfather was all Mautoo had, Mautoo, for the first time, walked alone into the evil city of Urma in search of his last loved one.
