I was given this book as a leadership development assignment. I definitely took the messages about confidence away from this read, but I did feel that some of the messages were redundant. I found myself skipping through paragraphs where I felt I had received the point and just wanted to move on.

This book is three layers; it’s a story within a story within a story. I couldn’t grasp why the author set up three different storylines and had two different storytellers essentially telling the same tale.

There are many great quotes throughout the book, so the author’s work as a life coach and motivational speaker shine through as you read each chapter. There are many lessons learned by Keagan, the main character, and many of them can be applied to each of us regardless if you’re a seasoned veteran at your work or just starting high school. It reads like a YA novel, but did make for a good leadership development read as well.

What an excellent and easy read. The author does a great job of integrating lessons into a story that is captivating and fun. I recommend this to, well, anyone. Everyone has needed a little boost of confidence at some point in their journey. Thank you Andy!
