Unstoppable Confidence has some good points. First, the author emphasizes that you have to do something to get confidence, you have to work at it. And second, the author gives examples of how confident people view situations, this is one of the best things about the book.

Worth reading for the valuable advice, but I felt I had to do a lot of skim reading to get past the airy-fairy stuff.

I found the first half of the book most useful, but then the author started talking about his 20 tricks, which were mostly NLP techniques (visualisation, imagination etc). IF NLP works for you, then this book could be even more powerful.

Beware the book talks about confidence mostly from a social perspective. If you are looking for confidence in other areas of your life, this book may disappoint.

A basic primer on neurolinguistic programming - i.e., fake it 'til you make it. Readers of Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Nido Qubein and the like can skip this book, as you've likely heard all the highlights before. Readers unfamiliar with NLP may enjoy this book as an intro to those techniques.

Good book.

The author talks about neuro linguistic programming he begins that here should be no doubts and you should aim to think confident i will do and so on aswell NLP goes that you think in beliefs and not in i would rather and u redirect you’re mind toward smart goals.

NLP is using the right words for achieving the goal or do the right thing for progression.

Also positive thinking is talked about, similair to what Anthony Robbins had spoken out with in his lectures and books.

I listened to this audiobook originally only intending to learn a bit more about NLP, but I actually ended up quite enjoying the book as a whole. I can't say a lot of the ideas are new or original concepts but being reminded of ways to improve your day to day confidence/mindset can't be a bad thing, in my opinion. The audiobook's narrator was particularly motivational, which also helped.

The author shows his path to achieving unstoppable self-confidence.
The book provides many examples and exercises that lead to increased self-confidence.
The exercises involve the use of Neuro Linguistic Programming, visualizations, affirmations, goal setting etc.
It is important to remember that without action there are no effects, so only performing these exercises can change how we perceive ourselves and how others do.
It is also worth remembering an interesting extension of the expression "SMART GOALS" from the book. According to the author, "SMART" means: SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ACHIEVABLE, REALISTIC, and TIMED - these are the terms for what our goals should be.

This was a good read. Although I felt a lot of the content was something Anthony Robbins already speaks or spoke about. However, repetition is a good thing.

A very interesting book using NLP techniques to clear barriers that are holding you back and use toner techniques to push you forward.

A lot of NLP is common sense. The way you think (especially repeatedly - your default thought patterns) and speak has an influence on your thoughts and actions creating self fulfilling cycles.

You need to break free and live with the discomfort to develop a new normal. If you keep doing that you could be transformed from where you were.

So, do you need a book to tell you how to repeat affirmations? Probably not, but if you do, this is one of them. Having read a number of books on the concept of influence recently, I wasn’t surprised to see what is discussed here are really a number of basic influence techniques, but where the influencer is also the influencee. Kinda interesting, but also very obvious. This has some new-age overtones that made this sound more spiritual than scientific.

I got this book to help me be more confident in myself. This book was more geared towards getting over being shy, which is great but wasn’t what I was looking for. I’m definitely going to use the exercises just not in the intended way 👍🏼

This is a great book to remember that visualizing the output is very important, without vision we have no point of reference.
it reminds us that this visualizing can also lead into very low level states as well, if used poorly.

overall i recommend it for a one time read!

No. Just no. This is the first book I decided to stop listening to after 30 minutes. I might not be the best audience for this book but wanted to hear it because of curiosity.
The reason I stopped was that it is written like a script for selling special knives on TV. No. Just no.

I feel like the book presented stuff that we already know we need to know but reading it in a compact manner increases the value of the book. some techniques mentioned in this book are quite helpful in real life. I really hope to use some of them in future.

The ideas in the book are not brand new. When you think a while you can remember moments from your life when most of the techniques described in this book subconsciously have been used. This reminder will help to do conscious steps in uncertain situations.

Although valuable insights are provided, the book reminds me too much of "Change your life in 7 days" by Paul McKenna...

Cheesy and nothing backed by research. There were a couple of reminders here but nothing new. Was just a coincidence they I became confident again around the time of reading this book

I did get a few ideas out of this book, but the author tends to ‘drone’ and some of the material is repetitive.

The author explains different methods of Neuro-Linguistic Programming in the beginning of the book to set the stage for the remaining chapters. Using different tactics of NLP, different issues are addressed to help you improve.

This is a book that I wish I had read 20 years ago. The tips and advice in it would have helped me overcome shyness and be more successful in just about any part of my life. (Don't get me wrong -- I'm pretty happy with what I've achieved, but I could have done it much earlier in life if I had gotten over the shyness and lack of confidence earlier).

Even for someone who does not consider themselves shy, there are a lot of great insights in this book. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in becoming more successful, advancing in their career, etc.

My reason for knocking off one star is that I felt some of the examples in the book were poor choices. Although I could understand what point Sayre was trying to make, I often disagreed with the example he choose to prove his point. The one that sticks out in my mind the most is when he talks about how beliefs that you once had but no longer have tend to have an image in your mind that lacks color, is small (or distant) and maybe not very clear. I understand his point (that you can paint a mental picture of something as distant or small or black and white if you want to minimize it in your life), but the example he choose to illustrate his point was Santa Claus. I don't know about anyone else, but my image of Santa Claus is huge, colorful, and crystal clear, so the example seemed to go completely against what he was trying to say. There are others like this in the book. I decided to just move past them and not get distracted by them, because I feel the content of the book is still worthwhile. If you decide to read this book, just be aware you may need to do the same.

I am so grateful that I found this book while I was checking out my library shelf's for some motivational books. I am very shy and lack of confidence but i can't believe from the time i have read the Unstoppable confidence book and followed whatever the author Kent Sayer has mentioned to do has really helped to build confidence. I can see the difference specially when I answer in the class participation with full confidence and without having second thoughts even though I know my answer can be wrong :p Thank you..
