Lost and Found #1

Lost and Found: Part One

If you like hot male leads and independent heroines, check out this interracial romance.

A woman lost in a big city, a reluctant friend in need, and a confusing attraction.

Sonia did not expect to be reliant on a stranger on her first day in London. Imposing on Juan goes against the principles of self-sufficiency instilled in her, but she intends to work her way out of this situation as quickly as possible.

After years of hard work, Juan has set up his business and new home, and it is the worst time for Sonia to disturb his ordered life. When he reluctantly agrees to provide accommodation in exchange for her help with his new company, the only consolation is that the arrangement is temporary. And strictly business.

Thrown together by unexpected circumstances, they both make the best of the situation. But will they be able to stick to their agreement when sexual attraction flares between them?

A two-part interracial romance series, LOST AND FOUND is intended for mature audiences, with steamy sex scenes, a happily ever after and no cliffhangers.

EXCERPT:

Sonia gave him a hug, and he drew a sharp breath at the unexpected contact. He needed to keep his arms by his side and focus on something other than how her curves molded to him.

He had not been laid for too long. There was no other reason for his reaction to this hapless woman, but Sonia had to be kept off limits—once she was gone, there would be enough opportunity for sex without the blurring of the boundaries between attraction and exploitation. He just had to keep his damn thoughts in check while she was around.

She stepped back, her eyes bright. “Thank you. I promise you won’t regret it.”

Why was that difficult to believe?

3.0 out of 5 stars Female Presumption & Manipulation!

I will write this review from the perspective of this being real human nature.

Sonia, female lead, has been raised by a single mother who has consistently stressed that women need to be self sufficient and not totally dependent on a man for support. Sonia, in her attempt to reach for her dream of something bigger and better in London, tells her long distance boyfriend that she is coming to live with him until she finds a job and/or her niche (1st time foolish presumption). He is not waiting for her train when she gets there and later texts that her coming was not a good idea and she will have to find other accommodation. What to do, what to do? You are new to the city, know no one and so have no place to go.

A kind man (Juan, male lead) stops to help a female in a new place. For me, this is where her 2nd time foolish presumption and possibly unconscious manipulation kicks in, as she falls for the kind stranger. After it appears to him that Sonia is planting roots, Juan stands up where it was needed, albeit in harsh anger, and tells Sonia she will need to leave. This should have been done, but Sonia is now hurt, angry and headed to bitterness in the heart, which makes for an emotionally cold female. (No sympathy from me as he said up front that he was not looking for a committed relationship, as he wanted to sow a few wild oats. Also, she let lust/love cause her to forget her Mama’s number one rule. Female self sufficiency!) This is the cue to a Part Two to see what happens after female gets her dander up when she feels she has been callously kicked to the curb. (Self Denial of any fault/presumption, Blame the man!). 🤷🏾‍♀️
