I read this book before starting a rapid track RHCSA course with exam. The book helped me keep up with the pace of the course, as I wasn't yet familiar with general system administration on Linux (or any other OS for that matter).
Each chapter has the same basic structure, which I found very effective: a brief explanation of the topic, guided exercises, review questions and exam-like exercises. The tips and overall strategy Sander mentions for approaching the exam are also very practical.
The book does have a number of errors and a few extra topics that may have been part of the RHEL 7 exams but are no longer required for RHEL 8. (Although I'm not complaining about learning a few extra things!).
This book together with the course instructor helped me pass, so I'd definitely recommend using this book to prepare for the RHCSA exam.
