This is a great collection of previously published books, plus a short story, written by talented author, Hope Callaghan. Each time I read one of Ms. Callaghan’s books, I think it’s the best one and that they can’t possibly can’t get any better, and then she writes the next one and amazes me once again. The writing style flows smoothly, the mysteries are well plotted, and there are enough suspects, twists, red herrings, and subplots to hold the reader’s interest. Ms. Callaghan smoothly blends family, friendship, mystery, mayhem, and intrigue with laugh out loud moments, a touch of sweet romance, realistic dialog, and affable, well-developed characters. I highly recommend Ms. Callaghan’s books to anyone who enjoys reading well crafted, clean, cozy mysteries.

In this collection, you will meet the delightful characters in six series written by Ms. Callaghan. In the Garden Girls Cozy Mystery series, Gloria Rutherford-Kennedy and her sleuthing friends, the Garden Girls, live in the small town of Belhaven, Michigan, and they encounter mysteries almost every time they turn around. In the Made in Savannah Cozy Mystery series, Carlita Garlucci moved from New York to historic Savannah, Georgia, with her daughter, Mercedes, promising her deceased husband to get their three sons away from mafia ties. In the Cruise Ship Cozy Mystery series, you will travel the high seas with Assistant Cruise Director, Millie Sanders-Armati, who is Gloria Rutherford-Kennedy’s cousin and has a penchant for getting involved in mysteries. In the Samantha Rite Mystery series, Samantha’s simple and quiet life is thrown into turmoil after taking a cruise and she becomes a pawn in a deadly game of deception. Jo and a cast of supportive secondary characters work together to help solve crimes that take place in their small community. If you are new to Hope Callaghan's cozy mysteries, get ready to enjoy these 6 selected mysteries. They are a collection of enjoyable characters with interesting plots and a great solve rate. Book 1 - Sun, Sand and Suspects - revolves around newlyweds Paul and Gloria Kennedy on their honeymoon. Book 2 - Swag in Savannah - focuses on Carlita Garlucci, her son Tony, her daughter Mercedes and nosey neighbor Elvira Cobb. They explore hidden tunnels in Savannah and discover surprises all around. Book 3 - Deadly Deception - Introduces Siren of the Seas, a beautiful
cruise ship. Millie Sanders is the Assistant Cruise Director, Annette Delacroix is Director of Food and Beverage, Cat and Danielle are good friends, add Dr. Gundervan (ship doctor), and don't forget Captain Armati. They all gather together to make your cruise a true adventure. Book 4 - Nightmare in Nantucket - reintroduces Gloria and Paul and other members of the Garden Girls Group. They are together to find and rescue Andrea from her visit to Massachusetts. Book 5 - Tides of Deception - you will meet Samantha Rite, sleuthing her way with daughter Brianna from Michigan to Florida. There is mystery and suspense when Lee and Donovan go missing. Book 6 - Divine Secrets - Joanne heads up a halfway house and offers a safe haven for several ladies to rehab. Add an open house, a murder, and you have another special cozy mystery. These are all stand alone books and are worth the read.

Great Reads

Looking for books that feature women, this is the collection for you. Hope Callaghan writes about strong women who are not afraid to dig in to a mystery and not afraid to fight for the right thing. Garden Girls, Savannah Series, Cruise Ship Series, The Divine Series and the Sweet Sleuth Series. I love each book more than the previous one. Ms. Callaghan keeps each book fresh and exciting, they do get in trouble at times but manage to win the fight. These books are clean and the ladies lean on their faith for help when I'm a bind. Please give this collection a try and I think you will not be disappointed. The perfect time to meet the women from each series.

This collection includes 6 books from a range of Cozy mysteries series, written by Hope Callaghan.
Hope is a talented mystery author, however, apart from the featured crime, her books are always wholesome, Christian tales with none of the usual social habits of alcohol and sex. The protagonists in her stories are also not the usual blend of young, sexy shot drinkers. You'll find that Hopes' protagonists are middle age, normal characters who have had past relationships and experiences.
Her well written mysteries are enjoyable with interesting plots and intrigue.
Recommended to readers who really appreciate mysteries without the seedy side of life.

Enjoyed it all!

I've enjoyed reading Hope Callahan's work. The various series she's written and all their characters keep me entertained and interested. I love the way she weaves in her faith, without whacking you over the head with it. I've purchased several of the series from this book that I'm interested in continuing to read. I look forward too many more decades of her writings.

An enjoyable set of 6 summer themed cozy mysteries from Hope Callaghan's various series plus a bonus short story. Because of the theme the selection is quite random, book 12 of one series and book 3 of another which means you are missing some of the back stories and links but they are a great high standard value read with entertaining mix of great characters and situations. Highly recommended.
