Rate this book
When the man who's been a second father to Pol Blancanales dies suddenly, Able Team heads west for the funeral - and a little unofficial business on the side. The man's niece is convinced her uncle was murdered. Now someone is trying very hard to get her, too.

The mission goes official when Carl Lyons and his men link the violence to a consortium of arms dealers based in the mountains. The crooked cabal has some help - Able Team's deadliest KGB nemesis.

In a double-barreled operation, Able Team must crack open the weapons ring and settle a deadly score!

Maybe closer to a 3.5, don't know if its because I just read a Death Merchant novel but it reads like a Rosenberger novel. Has a crazy Russian villain that they dealt with before who is now dying of a brain tumor and wants one more big coup for the KGB. Also another bad guy has problems with his son and is a egomaniac for sure. Basically a close family friend of Pol's is killed supposedly by accident but his niece says murder. So along with the arms dealers.that seem to be coming up in the area, Able Team has enough to go to work, even a visiting Lao Ti gets back in the act along with their normal backups Kissinger and Grimaldi. Fast read that flows well, it wraps up pretty quick at the end though.

Recommend if you are reading the series, Ron Renauld is a fairy reliable writer of these and does a adequate job here, wasn't bored.

A spin off series from his Executioner books. This series follows several secondary characters that band together. Recommended
