What do you think happens when one of the letters of the alphabet falls into the garbage can? Who can help him? Well, the other letters of the alphabet, of course. They all work together to come up with ways to save C, all but four letters. Which letters are missing and could they be the key to saving C from the dumpster? Read this hilarious, adventure-filled book that will have kids laughing out loud and trying to figure out the puzzle at the same time. Don't miss this one!!

I loved this book!! It is such a creative way to read an alphabet book to kids. I love the way Pamela Jane uses humor along with reading skills to find the answer to saving C. The illustrations are precious! This is one of those books that after you read the pages, you need to examine them before you turn them. There is so much going on on each page and you will want to take it all in. I love this book and I can't wait to get it into my library!!

Our kids love books that incorporate the alphabet. If your family loved Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, C Jumped Over Three Pots and Pan...will be another wonderful book to add to your collection. Our kindergartener enjoyed the great rhyming in this book and it was a great way to reinforce the alphabet letters in a fun and engaging storyline. The illustrations added a lot to this playful and fun text and we highly recommend this book to preschoolers and children who are learning their ABCs.

Review to be added to Amazon UK and US on 28th September 2019!

I liked this story, it was easy to follow, I loved the play on the alphabet and the images were fun too.

Most of the book was also rhyming in nature too which made my daughter really enjoy it and she enjoyed the repetitive nature of the story too.

It is 4 stars from me for this one

If you think the title is whimsical, the story is equally hilarious. The alphabet 'C' jumps over three pots and lands smack in a garbage can. If that wasn't enough, Alphabet 'E' goes missing and what follows it results in a series of comedy capers which I found to be quite comical. The beauty of the book lies in the illustrations which are so colorful and vibrant thus making it impossible for a reader to put down the book. I loved the originality of the concept and it makes the whole process of learning alphabets a fun affair.

I received an electronic ARC from Schiffer Publishing Ltd. through NetGalley.
Poor C tries to outdo B by jumping farther. C ends up in a garbage can and can't get out. The other letters search for three-armed E to rescue C but can't find E. Three other letters have vanished as well. They make a word - ROPE - and rescue C.
Charming rhymes and brightly colored pages. Fun story for preschool and lower elementary levels to work on the alphabet. Simple to follow text throughout.

While this rhyming text works through all of the letters in the alphabet, it feels more like a storybook than an alphabet book. Kids will hardly be aware that they’re learning to recognize letters as this captivating book is read to them. Below is an example:

At camp, big A was on kitchen patrol when B jumped over a mixing bowl.

“Watch me!” cried C, “I’m a good jumper, too. I bet I jump even farther than you.”

It looks like the letters may be up to a little mischieve, doesn’t it? When C ends up landing in the stinky trashcan, the other letters do their best to come to the rescue.

E‘s got more arms than F or G so the letters hurriedly pass the word and begin their search for E. But it isn’t turning out to be an easy task. No one knows where E is.

Each letter is mentioned during the story, some more directly than others. But with them all being in bold print, they are easy to identify.

It’s such a fun story. And there’s even a surprising twist at the end that adds to the attractiveness of this book.

My thanks to Schiffer Publishing for a copy of this book. This #bookreview is strictly my opinion.

What Concerned Me
Nothing concerned me.

What I Liked Most
It was an extremely engaging way to teach children to recognize upper case letters. And each letter is illustrated perfectly. They are all placed in various scenes, such as picnicking and fishing. And their eyes are full of recognizable emotions.

It’s an original alphabet book that is sure to bring lots of smiles. Be prepared to read it over and over.

The letters of the alphabet hit an adventure, which takes a small twist into a fun mystery.

A,B, and C are in the kitchen and maybe, up to a little bit of nonsense. When C goes overboard and lands in the stinky trashcan, the other letters need to find a way to help him back out. Deciding the 'E' has the most arms and would be the right letter for the job, they head out to find him. But he's seemed to have disappeared!

While this book does center around the letters of the alphabet, it is by no means the average 'alphabet book'. Each letter comes into play, some with a passing hello and others are pulled directly into the adventure. While young listeners do get a chance to identify each letter, it's indirectly and allows the story itself to control the pages. At the end, there's a clever surprise which, again indirectly, introduces young listeners to the idea of placing the letters together to form a word.

The entire thing is written in playful, easy rhymes and is just right for a read aloud. It's not a serious book, and guarantees some smiles and giggles along the way. But not just in word. The illustrations allow the silliness to gain extra footage as each letter displays a distinct and quirky personality. Young listeners will enjoy discovering each one and flipping through on their own to revisit them. It's a cute way to gain interest in learning the alphabet and reading.

I received a complimentary copy and found myself smiling more than once. So, I'm leaving my honest thoughts and giving this 4.5 stars and rounding up.

This is a sweet book that is written in rhyme and offers a unique playful way of incorporating the letters of the alphabet into a suspenseful mystery story.

The letter C jumps over three pots and a pan and lands smack into the garbage can.

"C kicked and wiggled
and let out a shout,
"Hey someone help me,
I can't get out!"

Oh my! What a dreadful situation he finds himself in. He is trapped in the refuge. The other letters of the alphabet realize they must work together to rescue their friend and bring him to safety once again. After scurrying around to rally the team the letters discover that the three-armed letter E is missing and much needed if this rescue is going to be a success, after all she has the most arms. When the letters probe deeper into Es disappearance they find that the letters O, P, and R have also vanished. It's an alphabet mystery indeed! U rides in on a horse sporting a superhero's cape to impart some vital information to the frustrated frantic group.

"U had the scoop,
"Psst, haven't you heard?
O. P. R, and E
are off making a word."

The case cracks wide open with the use of those four letters which results in a happily-ever-after ending. The alphabet is whole once again... HURRAY!

The illustrations are lively, colourful and fun. This book is a great way to reinforce letter recognition while engaging kids in a delightful storyline. Kudos for the original concept. I highly recommend this book.

A book for the very young, using the alphabet as characters in a drama when a bit of kitchen-based tomfoolery leaves C stuck in a rubbish bin. There's also a moral about cooperation, but its easy rhymes are there to introduce you to identifying the characters – by the time you've seem M in a deerstalker, or a sun-bathing X, you'll be more confident in working out which one they all are. Lively design with a good illustrative style, and a pleasant rhyme throughout, add to the impact of the book. Of course, it's an American book, so Zee sticks out like a sore thumb to us Brits.

Three and a half stars.

An alphabet rhyming adventure! This book was super cute and my 4 year old daughter loved looking for items that started with the letters on each page. A great book for children learning letters. it reminded me a lot of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Overall a very fun book parents and children will love to read together.

A fun alphabet book with bright happy fun pictures and a mysterious adventure that ends with some of the letters making a word to save poor C. One star off for the illustration showing S and T roasting marshmallows- the two marshmallows on fire running around is disturbing. Not cool, yo, not cool! Otherwise, a fun book!

Can a fun story save silly illustrations? Cute way to do an alphabet book. I liked the idea and it was fun to solve the problem and think about what word they might be making and using clues from the pages to make sure I had the right word, too. Also, why make a book smaller than normal? Plenty of room to make the pages bigger.

The font is called "drunk font."

Cute story, but not the most elegant incorporation of the letters as characters I've seen. The idea about E having more arms was clever, but with all of the letters getting added stick arms, drawing that out became weird.

The best thing in the book is the random tired-looking owl in the background of one of the illustrations.

A, B, and C are having a jumping contest and C jumps too far and lands in the garbage can. The other letters search for E (he has the most hands) to help C, and they end up finding E in a group with R, O, and P. Together they form a word to help C.

Good silly fun.

This rhymes, and its entertaining. C falls into a garbage can, and the letters can't seem to reach in to pull C out. Then other letters are missing, and it turns out those missing letters are together to make the rescue for C.
A little hard to imagine for poor C being in JUST a garbage can.

A cute little rhyming book about the alphabet and the fun and shenanigans they get into. A bit of spelling and describing the letter this book is educational and nice to look at.

This was a great Alphabet book because it wasn't a disjointed string of sentences for each letter of the alphabet. Instead, it told a story using each letter of the alphabet as they work to rescue "C."
