In Between was a fascinating read. Upon delving into the first chapter I found myself gripped instantly. The world I was transported to was not so different from my own and I felt a correspondence with the characters and circumstance. I found the experience of In Between reflected many things back to me in a way that felt like a combination of immersion and reflection. It may often be that we read stories and find ourselves part of the story however, this book spoke to me in a way which felt as if I was being offering guidance while paralleling real world circumstances similar to my own. Quite simply, it felt Shamanic, Existential and even today as I write this it’s effect on me and my life experiences continues to resonate.

I found In Between to have great accessibility and was fantastic to dig into at any time regardless of my mood or energy levels. It was just plain fun to read and the characters were magnetic. I was gripped until the end and loved the journey as it turned and twisted onto unexpected paths. The writing moves the reader quickly along and there is the feeling of space as the story unfolds. I found myself expanding and contracting within a new world maybe not so new, questioning whether I’ve been much too linear in my measuring of time.

In Between is a smoothly flowing book that quickly captures one’s imagination. It very quickly builds up speed as it takes you into the Deep a place that one can see the connection to everything else. And the battle between the mentors and the guardians to see who can control the balance. I am left waiting for the next instalment to see how the Change effects this fight.

I enjoyed reading In Between, the story flowed well and I found it easy to become immersed in its magical worlds. I was also delighted by Elfrel's quest and the unfolding of her deeper purpose.

I so loved it! As engrossing and inner-world reflecting as any Carlos Casteneda monument, there were moments in this journey of such deep, pure knowing, straight to the very core of me... Quite impossible to share in mere words, but suffice to say this is the essence of In Between... Straight to the core of you in ways that are impossible to put into words, although Claudio somehow does exquisitely! Highly recommended!!
