Three men, one office, and a summer internship that is about to get very spicy…
Tony
A rough-and-tumble guy like me might seem out of place in the corporate world, but that doesn’t mean I can’t succeed at my summer internship. I just need to make sure I’m not too distracted by the hot office manager, bossing me around and making me deliver the mail every day. But then I meet the drop-dead gorgeous owner of Carwell Tower, too... I know there’s no place for my submissive tendencies in the board room, but I feel like I was born to serve these men, and I can’t deny my heart.
Terrence
Working as his office manager, it’s hard enough to keep my relationship with Warren a secret. The owner of Carwell Tower, he’s powerful and handsome, and I want nothing more than to tell the world that he’s my dominant boyfriend. I can keep our love a secret for the sake of the company, just like I can keep the office running without a hitch to make him happy. But with a new hot intern demanding my attention, the line between work and play keeps getting thinner.
Warren
When I inherited the company after my father’s death, Carwell Tower was falling apart the seams. It’s playing with fire to carry on a secret relationship with the office manager at a time like this, but I love Terrence, and can’t imagine my life without him. When a new intern shows up at our door, looking hot as hell and submissive to boot, I know indulging our fantasies is a bad idea. I need to keep acting like the straight and macho head of the company, and can’t let anything get in the way of success. Not even passion, and especially not love.
My Boss’s Boss is a standalone, 60,000 word MMM romance novel. It features secret office relationships, dominant businessmen and submissive interns, and three characters who find a happily-ever-after together. Like all of the Taught by Two books, it is filled with heart, lots of heat, and a little bit of kink. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed the other Taught by Two stories I have read but this one is my favorite. Something about it just pulled me in. The characters seem more well rounded maybe. All I know is that I loved these three men and I would love to read more about them.
This was a good read. It shows that even the lowest person on the totem poll can bring new ideas to surface only if whoever is at the top of the food chain is willing to listen. In this book it takes more then one person to come up with innovative ideas to keep the struggling company to stay alive. And if love between three men takes a priority in the adventure as well, well then it may all be worth it in the end.
Tony is so excited to start his new internship at Carwell Tower. But only seconds after getting there and before he could officially start his internship, he spills coffee all over one of the executive in the tower. Little does he realize at the time, he is also the owner and CEO of the tower, Warren. But luckily for Tony, Warren did not make a fuss of it.
So Tony really lucked out or so he thought until he met his new boss Terrence. Terrence is a no nonsense boss. He expects his employees to give there all and listen the first time around and get it right. So Tony showing up the first day late, we’ll Terr was not impressed. When Tony finds out he is nothing more the the decorated mail deliver, he is not too thrilled but will do what he has to get the job done....hopefully right he first time around.
Tony does his best to not get on the bad side of Terrence but he finds himself often getting into trouble with Terrence. And he finds even though he should be mortified with constantly having to reprimanded, it is actually the opposite. He is really starting to like it. Which is weird in its own to Tony.
When the opportunity one evening to get closer to Terrence happens, Tony takes the chance and the first time, he is shot down but the second time....Terrence takes the opportunity to get something he has been wanting as well. What Tony did not realize is Terrence also has a relationship with Warren as well.
After a night out and running into Warren while Tony and Terrence are at a local bar for drinks after work, Warren decides it is time to bring the three of them together in a way that he has thought about since Terrence first started hooking up with Tony. The question is, how will Tony feel about bringing Warren into the mix as well? What will To y do when he finds out that Terrence and Warren are already a couple? Can the three men work together to come up with a way to save the company?
This was a good read about learning to not only become comfortable in ones own skin but to learn to trust others. This was a good read about three men coming togthernonly to figure out they could be so much more together. Great read!!!
Was given this galley copy for free for an open and honest review
The tantalisingly alluring blurb of a potentially inappropriate attraction at the office caught my eye when coming across My Boss’s Boss by R. Cayden for the first time.
Warren and Terrence are in a strictly confidential Dominant/submissive tryst together. Warren is the CEO of Carwell Enterprises and has inherited the corporation from his father – who left it in a sorry state. Not that anyone knows that, so Warren is trying his hardest to keep up appearances while protecting his father’s legacy and fixing a broken organisation. Terrence is his Office Manager – who keeps the “hub” running smoothly and is a formidable presence to all the staff. No one can know that Warren is gay – let alone that he and Terrence are in love. Their relationship is restricted to occasional days off and secret interactions in the executive office after hours.
Tony is an intern at Carwell Tower. He comes from a long line of blue-collar workers but has big dreams of building and running his own company someday. So instead of partying and travelling like his fellow students, Tony spends his summer break interning under Terrence – stoic Office Manager and undeniable hottie of the “hub”. Tony dreams of submitting to Terrence and feeling that control for more than the deadline for the mail run. After some mixed signals and sizzling attraction, things get out of hand quickly and suddenly Tony and Terrence find themselves facing an awkward impasse. But after Warren gives Terrence the all clear to explore his Dominant side with Tony, the three men find what really matters and how love can clear paths.
R. Cayden does a fabulous job of building the slow heat with all three characters, but by the time I hit the halfway mark, I was so invested I could hardly function! Housework could wait – I had to know what these delicious men were up to! He constructs a vivid world with unique characters including some wonderfully strong side characters (like Warren’s sister and Dominique – office Lesbian extraordinaire).
The depiction of a three-way D/S/s relationship (Dominant/Switch/submissive) is superbly told and the heat level is off the charts! Readers looking for the secret affair, strong control and sweet submission will love R. Cayden’s My Boss’s Boss. This book is the third in the Taught by Two series, but is completely a standalone. I haven’t read book one and two and didn’t have any trouble following along.
This didn't feel like a throuple to me. I'm not sure why the author even bothered to include Tony because he was clearly a third wheel. Terrance and Warren were a bit mean to him at the beggining making his job difficult and even joking about firing him.
They also toyed around with Tony's feelings and didn't bother to tell him that they were in a relationship. The whole time they acted like they couldn't trust him and I'm supposed to believe that they're suddenly in love with him? They couldn't even bother to tell Tony how they met each other because it was a "long story."
I also didn't feel like they were emotionally connected or invested in Tony. He was an afterthought to them especially to Warren. I also didn't like how Warren continued to refer to Terrance as his boyfriend but referred to Tony as his intern. They also never really established any relationship or title with Tony.
I felt like Warren and Terrance were a couple (who were clearly in love with each other) and Tony was just their sex toy.
I think my feelings about this book are similar to the first two. But I almost want to say I liked this one the most. I loved the side characters and the flow of the story. My only complaint much like the first two is that I want more. I don’t want to just read about the start of a relationship to the point they become a couple. But I want to read how their lives are years later. I need an epilogue! Just a small glimpse at the future love!
I'm kind of having a rough day and I really enjoyed this book, not only for the romance but for the view of business that doesn't ignore the presence of LGBT+ people.
This was a nice story with a nice HEA but I was disappointed at the number of grammatical errors. One in particular: you have another "thing" coming when it should be another "think" coming.
