Officer Paul Lee has been on the Waverly police force his entire working life. Now, nearing retirement, he finds he’s lived a lonely life filled with regrets. Having seen the worst that humanity has to offer, he lives in fear and distrust, not liking the man he’s become. In the course of a murder investigation, he learns of an experimental drug that reverses aging. The possibility of living a new life, the life he wants, looms in front of him. Worried that he'll live the same life he's lived before, he seeks help by joining multiple workshops being held across the country to free himself from his fears, freeing him to follow a new path. At one of his self-help classes, he meets Marge, a widow. He knows their connection is something very special, but soon he'll be much younger than she is.

I loved this book. Officer Paul Lee has worked at the Waverly police department his entire working career. The investigation of Mark is where he finds out about a experimental drug that has a side effect that reverses aging. He steals some of the pills hoping no one would notice. He goes to a retreat and meets a woman named Marge. He falls in love with her. They seek Mark and his friends help with things go haywire. Can they keep the tablets hidden?
