This is the first book from this author that I have read and it wont be my last. This is the second book in this series but can be read as a standalone. I really loved Tait and Sam. This book was so steamy. They had an instant chemistry that was just radiating off the pages. It was a fast paced romance and I love the Dom/sub aspect to the story. It wasn’t the main subject in the story but it was present in the background. I can’t wait to read what is coming next in this series and her work.

Cara Wade the way you started The Playboy is one of the hottest, sexiest beginnings and it pushed all my buttons!! Now she knows how catch me off guard and get my full attention. Cara, thank you for introducing me to my new book boyfriend Tait!

The Playboy is a continuation of her first book The Publicist. I highly suggest you read that one first. Trust me you will want to know all the back-story drama on all the characters. Plus, you will see the return of past characters like annoying Ben (who does not comprehend the word NO)!

This book reads like an adult soap opera with sexual tension, drama, and wow Cara is the queen of sex scenes.

Great minds think alike along with Sam’s character I too wondered what Tait’s character would be like in bed.

In every book there needs to be one character that rubs you the wrong way. For me that was Ben. An ex is an ex for a reason!

Needless to say I am a huge fan of Cara Wade’s and this series. I must read the next one to see what Tait will be up to next!!

We got a snippet of Tate (and Sam) in The Publicists, in that first meeting he comes off very arrogant and a typical playboy going after Quinn. But as book 1 progressed he considered Quinn as a good friend and someone he goes to for advice so I was very interested in getting his full story here. (The storylines overlap a lot for this series). We learn quickly that he’s got a bit of a dominant side in the bedroom (but it’s not typical BDSM- more just a little kink) So when he realizes his new PA Sam has a bit of Submissive in her, she becomes even harder to resist. The last thing Sam wants is to start a new relationship, especially with her boss. She’s looking to break into the PA field in Hollywood and doesn’t want to get a bad reputation of sleeping with someone to get ahead. But the attraction and sexual tension is there from the get go. And he comes up with a plan/ contract to protect her job regardless of what happens between them. She fights it as long as she can before Tait becomes impossible to resist. But then her ex shows up wanting her back and even though she immediately turns him down, he’s not going away.

They had good chemistry through out the story. Sam was a bit submissive in the bedroom but she still stood up for herself. The sex was hot but again not over the top BDSM. Tait grew on me quickly as we realize his public perception was very different from the real him. And I’m glad we see that quickly. Sam was a great compliment and they were really perfect for each other.

Now I’m looking forward to Elena and Bradley’s story next.

Cara Wade is a new to me author and The Playboy will not be my last read from her. I was completed addicted to this story.

Tait is the ultimate playboy, but when he meets Sam, he is willing to do anything to prove to her that he can do more and he can stop his playboy ways. Sam is trying to focus on her career, she doesn’t want to get involved with Tait, who is currently her boss. Will Tait be able to win her over?

Tait and Sam are complete opposites, yet they are perfect together. There is so much chemistry between them and it is EXPLOSIVE and HOT! Of course, their relationship can’t be easy and there is some drama that threatens them, mostly Sam. Tait does come across as sort of a jerk in the beginning of the story but that man majorly redeems himself in the end.

This was a quick read, but it was fun, sweet and steamy. I loved every single minute of it and I can’t wait to go back and read book one and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book of the series.

I got my first glimpse of Tait when I read the first book in this series, 'The Publicist', and he didn't come off as a very nice man but intrigued me. So I'm glad the author chose to write him next and give him more depth and a chance to show his true colours.
I loved the instant spark between Tait and Sam, especially in the elevator scene. I also liked it that she didn't immediately give in because their back and forth was entertaining to read. And I had a very bad feeling about her past returning to haunt her...

Cara Wade has written another must read! Tait and Sara's story is written in both of their voices so you don't miss either characters' thoughts or feelings. Seeing Tait make some changes from the Book 1 in this series to now is great. When I read this series, I feel like a little bird on a windowsill listening to the characters lives. Not only do we get Tait and Sara's story, but we get snippets of the lives of other characters. Very exciting to read, Cara!

*Swoon* This book was so unexpectedly brilliant, i was hesitant about reading this but quickly fell in love, i was thankful that before getting to the gritty stuff there was a great first start to the story getting to know Sam & Tait a little bit before delving into the mystery of them both... it was lusty, romantic and a twist you don't see happening. So glad i discovered Cara Wade and look forward to more from this great author 😊

Opposites go together just as smoothly as a Dom and a submissive when man-whore actor Tait falls for his personal assistant Sam. But all bets are off when he finds himself investing his heart with a woman who just wants to get ahead in a Hollywood setting. But can the two actually find a HEA? I was instantly hooked from the opening chapters and loved the back and forth of the characters. Overall an very enjoyable read.

The push and pull between these two characters is a thing of beauty. Our first meeting with Tait makes us think he is the perfect picture of a male chauvinist pig. The farther we get into the story, the more we see that he is a rather complex character. Sam is one of the best female romantic leads I've seen in a long time. She doesn't just roll over and give in. She stops to think about what this will do for her carrier. Love seeing a woman like this in a romance novel.

I sat down to read this and couldn't put it down!! I was immediately drawn to the wonderfully written characters and well-paced story. I loved Tait! Although he has a playboy reputation, you find out quickly he's not everything he seems. And Sam is strong, yet willing to be vulnerable for Tait. This definitely fed into my overdeveloped romantic dreams, and one I would read over and over!!

The Playboy by Cara Wade is book 2 in her Hollywood Lust series. It is the 3rd book I've read by this author and again she did not disappoint.

Cara Wade has a way of drawing you in to her books. Once you pick them up, you don't want to stop. Tait and Sam's story is no exception. They are opposites but you know what they say about that. Despite their differences, these two characters definitely attract.

The push and pull of the characters, their development and the storyline will have you rushing to finish and leave you dying for more.

I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Loved Sam and Tait's story in this second book of the Hollywood Lust series. These characters are completely opposite but fit together so well and they have instant chemistry. This story is a fast paced steamy romance that has a bit of a Dom/Sub theme going on in the bedroom. Cara has done a great job at giving us some great characters to fall in love with!

Enjoyable read that kept me wanting more. I liked Tait's character personality he was sweet , but could be the protector you would want your man to be. Sam was a girl who knew what she wanted in a partner , she just hadn't met her match yet.Sam played so hard to get , at times I thought she needed to give up fighting her feelings. Can't wait to see what the author writes next.

This is a great steamy romance. Cara Wade gives us a perfect give and take in this story. Tait and Sam are not your typical couple. Sam is going to give Tait a fun for his money. I love seeing female characters who aren’t going to given in right away. I loved seeing how their relationship develops. I would recommend this book to anyone.

The Playbook is book 2 of the Hollywood Lust Series but it can be read as standalone. Tait makes an appearance on The Publicist (book 1) and I did not liked him at all until the end but in this book OMG, I LOVE HIM!

Tait has a “just once per girl” sleeping rule so they don’t get attached to him and because he is a Hollywood actor, has a charming accent and knows how to flirt, he never runs out of girls. That is until he meets the first girl that’s says no to him, his new PR assistant, Sam. She is trying to be professional but is very attracted to Tait, and he’s not making it any easy for her. His flirty tactics might work with every girl but not with Sam, until he makes her a proposal.

Tait might seem an arrogant, selfish moron but it’s just a charade he’s made to protect himself and the more he trusts Sam, he starts to show his real personality THAT WILL MAKE YOU SWOON AND DROOL! Protective, caring and his love for Sam makes him want to be a better person.

But don’t fool yourself it’s isn’t just romance here! This book is much more steamier than it looks like. It’s sexy, heated and intense romance full with tension and undeniable attraction. Basically if I could write I would have written a fanfic for this 2 characters, I didn’t want to stop reading about them!
