Her life goes from glitz and glam to discreet and ordinary. The day she crosses paths with Benji Wallace, a young wealthy business mogul, her life changes once more. Benji seems to be the perfect man, no matter how hard Duchess resists him. But her resistance slowly fades, along with her willpower, when he begins to hypnotize Duchess with a life that smothers her in endless money, status, romance, and dreams, something Duchess feels she so desperately needs in her time of darkness. Despite of all these beautiful distractions, she cannot ignore or run from her past that shows up knocking on her door left and right, and of course, Duchess Jones answers. When she does, she is forced to snap out of Benji’s hypnosis and is unblinded to the fact that it all may have been just smoke and mirrors the entire time.

Good read

This book was absolutely great we read page turner I couldn’t get enough. I knew chief wasn’t dead I absolutely adore chief and Duchess relationship they are meant to be together now I’m on the edge because I want to know who was that they came to the door it was probably supreme can’t wait for the third part if you haven’t read this you must read it I think I’ve only been reading for two days and I’m done with the first two parts.

Duchess and Chief

This book was packed with action and drama!!!...Duchess could not catch a break no matter what corner she turned!!!...I love Duchess and Chief together though!!!...Genuine as definitely on one and so was Supreme!!!...My heart broke for Duchess because she definitely was seeking a family only to find herself in a yard full of snakes!!!... I'm sad that Data lost her life too, especially since ahe was there to help Duchess recover from a life that ahe then fell victim to again!!!... I can't wait to read part 2!!!...

Real Page Turner

I gave this a four due to some minor errors. Great storyline all around. Duchess went hell and back dealing with Supreme. Supreme knows he was doing Duchess wrong. Hennessey was such a bitter person. Not everyone always gets what they want. Chief, is Zaddy hands down!!
Thug in every way. Poor Messiah didn't deserve what happened to him. Benji was just pure evil, black-hearted. Plastic surgery is always a risk going under the gun.

Good storyline. But while I enjoyed the plot, there were a lot of errors that detracted from the reading experience. I understand that this is an older piece from the author, but perhaps it can stand to be re-edited and then promoted. Duchess was very irri. She went through so much bc she made the same decision repeatedly. #TeamMessiah butttttt I won't give that one away. Fast paced and entertaining.

Too much

Dutchess had it hard! Too many bad seeds around her. There were some name switches in the book that make things confusing if you aren't paying attention.

Very much worth it

Ok so I just finished the books. I’m a first time reader of this author and baaaby she has a fan in me. At first I said no I’m not reading about any more dumb women. But Duchess got that right in together. Ms. Red developed Duchess’ character well as well as Chief. Who I loved by the way. Chief bae he came right on in with that cape determined to save Duch. I’m not going to tell the story but there’s definitely twist and turns and naw dummy moments. Well worth it can’t wait for 3
