Fabulous pictures. The story is nice - maybe too nice. I think that even as a child, I would have asked, "How is scaring people their job? How does that give them food to eat? And now that they're friendly trolls, how does THAT give them food to eat?" Almost 4 stars because the pictures really are great, and the story is fine.

A little troll lives with his dad and is very lonely because no one is their friend because his dad always scares everyone they meet (it's what trolls are supposed to do). One day Orso comes across a brother and sister and plays with them and ends up making his first friends. He then teaches his father that trolls can do other things beside scare people.

Delightful illustrations.

A nice read about being true to who you are even if you are expected to be something else.
