Fugitive is the second book of the Deceptive series that I had received from the authors a while ago. I have also received Fugitive in exchange for a fair review.

Follow Liliana Dapprima back into her chaotic life as the daughter of a mafia leader, if you think that Deceptive was interesting and heartbreaking, this one might just top it. When Liliana's dad decided to hire a double to keep Liliana safe, her seemingly peaceful life begins to crumble beneath her feet.

As Elle, her body double runs her life outside of the Dapprima home, Liliana must find a way to find herself and figure out what she wants to do with the deception. Between two hot guys: Emilio and Lucas, I seriously wonder how she finds the time to see two men in midst of this new situation.

If her family is not a deceptive one, I doubt Fugitive would have been an interesting read, but Liliana has a habit (a bad one I think) of finding things out last. While her tantrums are starting to bore, the second half of the book picks up as Liliana escapes her crazy family and stupid plans to Barcelona. Her new life as Caterina De Luca bought her some peaceful times, which was a welcome respite after all that betrayal and screaming.

Mention mafia, there would be double crossing and bullets flying, same goes for Fugitive. It still filled with people trying to take over territories and rule the underbelly of the world while taking down as many enemies as they can. For once, I am happy that this is not a Romeo and Juliet story.

I am a little bit disappointed that Liliana did not grow much as a character in this part of Deceptive series, but since I have the next book, I can wholeheartedly look forward to seeing how Liliana will become in the final installment of the series.
