Just like I have stated before I have found these stories in this series entertaining. Kai was experiencing tremendous grief from the sudden loss of his wife. Grief is a powerful emotion one we often seem to overlook. But Morgan was patient and understanding. They were a good match!!
Wonderfully fantastic... The book set was amazing... It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to them... The characters and their personalities match them perfectly... The plots and the storylines was very descriptive and amazing...I would recommend this Boxset to anyone!!

I figured Morgan would be one of the MC for this last book in the series; having Kai as the other MC was a surprise. I would’ve been ok with that pairing if the whole book didn’t have so many other problems. -Morgan’s background seemed slightly changed from when his character was first introduced. From being a psychiatrist at the Denver Hospital where Corey and Nate work, he now has a private practice and a whole second career as a daycare owner/entrepreneur? - When Kai’s character was introduced in the prior book, his wife’s name is Mary & they are expecting twins. In this book, his wife’s name was now Liz and they had just the one daughter. Major continuity flaw there. - Kai seriously gets into a romantic relationship two months after his beloved wife’s death?!? Seriously? I know grieving isn’t on a schedule, but this seems totally unrealistic. -Some minor personality changes in secondary characters were jarring, particularly the change in Wren’s personality from reserved/serious in the previous book to now easy going, joking, etc. -Kai’s seemingly unmentioned bisexuality seemed like a desperate development by the author so he could be used as one of the MCs for this book. With the trouble Wren was in with his family for being gay, if Kai was bi (and had been all along since college), you’d think the topic would’ve been mentioned in Wren’s book at least once. Overall, this book seemed to be written poorly as a quick dash to finish up with this series.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the seventh book in the For You series. In this book, Kai is a new father to Maya and lost his wife during childbirth. Kai is Wren's brother from Return For You. After Kai's wife died, he really struggled with his grief and coping with a newborn. When Wren asks him to come to Harlan to stay for a while, Kai agrees. Wren tries to help Kai as much as he can and eventually gets him to join him, Corey and Morgan for dinner one night. Corey and Wren are doctors and Morgan works with psychiatric patients and also owns a successful daycare. When Morgan sees Kai, he knows he is struggling and hurt. Morgan wants to reach out to Kai and help him. Kai meets Morgan and is really attracted to him, but it is too soon to have feelings like that for anyone. Kai needs to return to work, so Corey suggests Morgan's daycare for Maya. Kai and Morgan become friends and as time moves on. Kai develops feelings for Morgan and they flirt back and forth. When Kai asks Morgan to dinner, he accepts and tells him they can take things slowly. Things go well between them until Kai's in-laws show up and make him question everything about his late wife and how he is raising their daughter. I really enjoyed this series. This was an emotional book and i really felt for both Morgan and Kai. I think Kai had to accept himself and realize he needed to find happiness again. Morgan also had a horrible loss and he needed to realize it wasn't his fault. I love how they connected and how they could help each other heal. Morgan loved Maya and thought of her as his own. Another great one.
✔ Letto! Per me è ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
I will tell you one thing about J.P. Oliver every time I read one of his stories I bawl my eyes out and this story is no exception. Kai just lost his wife giving birth to their daughter he doesn’t feel angry he doesn’t even hear the doctor because he is numb. 3 weeks later he’s still a mess his daughter cries all the time and he hasn’t even cried yet not even at Liz’s funeralso he’s going to stay at his brothers in Harlan and when Kai see’s his brother they hug then and only then did Kai cry. Morgan was sitting in the cafe with his friend Corey talking about Morgan’s date last night it didn’t turn out so well when the guy kept calling him daddy, Morgan is fine with being kinky just not in a restaurant full of people Corey laughed his head off then he invited Morgan out for dinner with his friend Wren and his brother that is new in town and Morgan gladly accepted. Morgan arrived at the restaurant and he was introduced to Kai Wren’s brother but Kai wasn’t with it he just kept looking out the window, Morgan knew that look from Kai it was more than just grieving Kai was lost. Kai was in shock he was attracted to Morgan he hadn’t felt like that since his wife. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but this is just the beginning of an amazing story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
What a beautiful story and wonderful narration. This is my first time reading this author and listening Guillaume Dubois, I can say without a doubt I enjoyed both.
This is a story about grief and second chances and it is heartbreaking, but also sweet in it's own way. Maya, the baby girl is cute AF and I love the way J.P. Oliver show her fathers insecurities along de story. Although I think a few months is a little short to fall in love after a lost so big as his, It was believable and didn't seem rush at all. Both Kai and Morgan were likable characters, complex and hot together. The writing is a little cheesy with too many metaphors, but I think it suits the story very well. Examples:
"[...] my guilt stronger and more terrifying than ever. It swirled around me like an icy, angry ocean, dragging me down, down into its depths, so heavy and clinging I doubted I would ever be able to escape. "
The narration... Oh the narration. Mr. Dubois was perfect for the job, he did different voices for each character and his narration was solid. His voice was so suiting, I could feel the pain of each characters the way he speaks.
This is an emotional tear-jerker, but also sweet and heartwarming. After Kai lost his wife during childbirth he fell into a deep depression. He was barely caring for his daughter, Maya, and didn't care about anything else. Kai's brother Wren finally talks him into visiting for a while, hoping that a change of scenery would help. One night Wren drags Kai out for dinner, they meet up with a couple of friends, one being Morgan. Kai's attraction to Morgan catches him completely off guard, not so much because he was a man, but because his wife had only been gone for a couple of months. Morgan is a psychologist and also owns and runs a daycare center. When the subject of what Kai was going to do with Maya when he went back to work, Morgan told him about his center. Kai enrolls Maya into the center, gets back to work and constantly thinks about Morgan. They do eventually start dating, but then Maya's grandparents cause trouble. Between what Kai goes through, the grandparents and Morgan's past I cried through most of the book. It's also sweet and funny. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
Kai had just become a father or a beautiful daughter, Maya, an a widower at the same time. He was completely overwhelmed and had the added pressure of his in-laws wanting to take his precious little girl away. He meets Morgan and is instantly attracted to him, but is it too soon? Would he be able to get over his grief and guilt to find happiness again?
This is romantic loves story between two men, each struggling with grief and guilt. It has expertly crafted hot steamy love scenes that are carefully woven into the storyline to enhance the love story. This is an emotional roller coaster that deals with loss, guilt, love and homophobia. It does an excellent job in building interesting characters that you can empathize with. I enjoyed it immensely even though gay romance is a genre of which I have read very little. It pushed me outside my comfort zone and I believed has helped me grow as a person. If you enjoy gay romance or just romance with heat, try this one out. You may find it inspiring, I know I did.

This was a really sweet story and had s pretty emotional start. My heart broke for kai at the beginning and I was so happy when Morgan entered his life and made evrytying more bearable. This was a single dad romance story. Kai lost his wife while she gave birth to their baby girl and was so full of grief and blame and his awful in laws didn't help. He wanted to be the best he could be for his new daughter and decides to visit his brother to get away and doesn't expect to meet someone who he feel similar things he felt when he was with his wife. I did feel things happened a bit fast since his wife just passed away a few months and I feel like most people need longer than that to grieve in order to be able to full move on to someone else. There was instant attraction there between the characters and their connection was a strong and you could really feel their feelings for one grow throughout the story. It was a a quick read and I did enjoy the story even thought I felt i felt like kans grieving process wasn't very long and that he moved on super fast. I still enjoy both charcaters and their interactions.
Kai just lost his wife and has to raise his daughter by himself. Kai is tired and feeling lost. Kai goes to stay with his brother Wren for a while to get some help with his daughter Maya. Morgan is very understanding to the things that Kai is going through. Morgan tells Kai to take his time nothing need to be rushed. When Kai is ready everything will fall into place. Kai is trying to raise Maya in a way that would make Liz happy. Liz's prents show up and yell at Kai that he is keeping them from seeing Maya and that Liz would not approve of the way he is raising Maya. Kai breaks down and runs away from the happiness that he has with Morgan. Kai tells Morgan that he no longer wants to see him and pulls Maya from the daycare center that Morgan owns. Can Kai find happiness? Will Kai finally tackle his fears and ask Morgan to return? Can Morgan find the happy ending he needs?

Piglet - "How do you spell love?" Pooh - " You do not spell it , you feel it."
I might sound a walking cliché , when I say, Amor Vincit Omnia . But , that is one of the reasons, I read Romance books , love conquers it all.
Strong For You , is the perfect example of ; If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they are yours; if they do not they never were.
Kai and Morgan , the main characters , went through so many ups and downs in their journey to HEA , that you could not help but feel for them . At times it was heartbreaking and frustrating, too , but the good times were sweet , loving and hard fought and earned .
J.P. Oliver have a knack for tugging your heartstrings and I am a willing participant.
This tale gave me all the feelings. I am happy I read it .

A tale of loss and depression. Homophobia and enlightenment. Love and passion. Family...that you are born in and that you make. Love comes in many forms and only through sharing does it deepen into a lasting relationship.
Kai is faced with moving on without his wife...struggling to raise his daughter on his own. When his brother, Wren, invites him to come and stay with him and his husband, he meets Morgan, a psychiatrist and Day Care owner, who has faced grief of his own. When Kai's in-laws threaten to take his daughter from him, he is forced to confront his feelings about his late wife and what he has always thought he knew about her.
A wonderful story that builds into a powerful ending.

Kai lost his wife at his daughter birth but then meets Morgan and finds him hard to forget. When Kai lost his wife Liz in childbirth he was grief stricken but when he saw his newborn daughter Maya all he could think of was her. As he struggles with the grief he is also struggling to cope as a single parent with the strain of the feeding and changing Maya , the lack if sleep and the growing piles of laundry. So when his brother Wren suggests staying with him and his partner Nate he jumps at the chance. Their taking care of Maya allows Kai to catch up on sleep and helps to get him to a point where he can cope with the grief and being a father. They take him out for a meal where he meets Morgan who he finds hard to get out of his mind. A MM romance to relax and enjoy.

When you experience a tragic loss, don't suffer alone! Kai's in-laws, June and Peter make a bad choice at a vulnerable time in all their lives that change the course of all their lives. Maya, Kai's newborn brings a sweet innocence to the story. Morgan shows that even the expert has moments of vulnerabilities. This is an amazing story. J.P. handled the fallout with grace, patience and great discipline of not going over the line. Kai and Morgan are blessed with an excellent support system with their friends and family. Story, brings you right in so you are suffering right along with Kai and Morgan. Great story. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
This is a great addition to thus spectacular series. Kai is recently widowed with a newborn baby and doesn't know how to move on. Morgan is incredibly sweet but also still dealing with a lot of grief from his tragic past. These two broken men are absolutely beautiful and incredibly sweet together. I admire Morgan's strength and the patience and understanding that he has for Kai is incredible. It was heartbreaking what these two men have been through but a joy to watch them coming together and learning to move on. The narrator did a great job with the characters and with the story itself. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.
LOVE COMES IN MANY FORMS. YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO ACCEPT IT.
I loved the story plot, but after reading ‘Return for You’, there were two glaring mistakes concerning Kai’s wife. In ‘Return for You’, she is Mary and is having twins. In ‘Strong for You’, she is Liz and gave birth to one child – no mention of a second one. The story line is great and I was pleased to see that it showed people need counseling – no matter their profession. I loved the way Morgan took to Kai and Maya – made my heart melt. I was amazed at the tough love Wren gave to his brother, Kai. The general theme and plot came out amazing; regardless of the errors. Bigotry and enlightenment are shown.
An emotional story of tragic loss, grief, desolation, guilt, doubts, patience, hope, new beginnings, and love. Being familiar with grief and a psychiatrist, Morgan is gentle and patient with widower Kai. Their attraction is instant but there is a wall of of pain to get through. Their journey is slow to build and full of ups and downs but with time, healing, lots of help and patience, their love is able to grow and leads to a sweet HEA.

When I first claimed an ARC copy of this book, I didn't realize it was part of a series or a gay romance. Although gay romance isn't my usual type of genre, I absolutely loved this second chance story. Strong For You will draw readers into a story full of heartache, grief, healing, passion, and love. For it being my first book from J.P. Oliver I absolutely enjoyed the well written story line and the wonderful characters readers are sure to fall in love with.

Kai ( a recent widower) and Morgan (a man who knows grief well) meet after Kai temporarily moves to Harlan with infant daughter after the death of his wife. This is their story of how they become friends to lovers and then through miscommunication and grief horribly break up. You are their for all their good and bad times and get to see them slowly come back to their HEA. Superb story!

This is a totally emotional story Kai lost his wife in child birth and is barely hanging on his brother Wren convinces him to come home to Harlen to try to straighten himself out While there he meets Morgan a psychiatrist who also runs a daycare as he tries to organise his daughter to attend the day care he spends more time with Morgan Could this be the surprising new romantic interest for him Both of them have suffered loss can they support one another and find love together.
This is the kind of story that I love. Both MC's overcoming grief and past issues, together.
I loved their personalities and the conflict of the story just worked perfectly.
I didn't love the fact that this book didn't mesh with what was told about the characters in the last story. It wasn't a smooth transition at all. The actual story should have been edited prior to narration as well.
So, I liked this book and thought the plot was well done and the character development was good, but as another reviewer pointed out,"the inconsistencies in this series annoyed me. For instance, why did Kai's wife Mary who was expecting twins [as said in the previous book about Kai's brother Wren] become Liz who died giving birth to one child [in this book]"? Uggh, I don't see myself rereading this series because of all the continuity errors and other inconsistencies in the series.
What an emotional story. Kai and Morgan.are absolutely beautiful together. Two fractured souls finding solace, understanding, and love in each other. This is a wonderfully written story and I highly recommend it

I have just completed the For You series and whilst I enjoyed the stories and find I enjoy reading books in a series as you don't always leave characters you like behind, I have to say the inconsistencies in this series annoyed me. For instance why did Kai's wife Mary who was expecting twins become Liz who died giving birth to one child!
Powerful and emotional book with grief, guilt, happines and love. Kai lost his wife in childbirth and is struggeling to live and take care of his infant daughter. He meet Morgan that maked him happy and there is a lot of guilt. Morgan understand that Kai need to grief before moving on with his life. Even tho they are falling in love.
