Siapa yang tak tergoda dengan buku murah namun sarat ilmu seperti ini? Apa lagi membaca kalimat di atas, menggali misteri masa lalu. Semula buku ini masih dalam timbunan. Sesudah merasakan sulitnya menjadi referensi saat membuat review sebuah buku terkait urusan Mesir, jadi ingat akan buku ini yang belum disentuh *alasan penimbun*

Secara garis besar, buku ini terbagi dalam beberapa bagian yang masing-masing bagian memuat beberapa lokasi penemuan arkeologi yang dianggap layak untuk diketahui oleh masyarakat umum.

Bagian pertama memuat tentang Eropa, dalam buku ini ditulis Europe. Ada sebelas situs arkeologi yang bisa ditemukan pada uraian di bagian ini. Antara lain terdapat Skara Brae yaitu pemukiman Neolitik yang terletak di Teluk Skaill di pantai barat dari daratan, pulau terbesar di Ork kepulauan Skotlandia. Situs ini ditemukan sekitar tahun 1850. Skara Brae memperoleh UNESCO World Heritage Site sebagai salah satu dari empat situs "The Heart of Neolithic Orkney” Situs ini juga sering disebut sebagai Skotlandia Pompeii.

I have read this book from cover-to-cover once already, though can never tire of history and all the mysteries She holds! I give this delightful journey through time a definite 5-star rating for anyone who loves to learn about the worlds vast past!

The selection of archaeological sites in this book focused on sites which are amazing visually and didn't include some sites which are important in the archaeological sense, but not visually impressive. What sites were included were covered well.

Really good book easy to follow and the wording isnt that difficult aswell. I remember getting this as a gift. All time periods are covered in this book so you get knowledge from every century
