No one hurts Rosalyn’s pack and lives to talk about it. Rosalyn and her pack are dragged into a plot to bring about chaos and destruction at the hands of a dark witch. Together they will take on their greatest enemies to date. It’s time to step up as a guardian and show the world what she’s really capable of. The final book in the Wolf Ridge trilogy

Firstly, I enjoyed the idea behind the story enough to finish it. However, the books need work. In this last book for example, there are lots of unanswered questions and unnecessary repetition. There is a whole passage at the end of chapter 16/start of 17 that is exactly the same. Also, shows up multiple times like it was a placeholder... were they not removed accidentally or are there things missing from the story?
I accept some typos and grammatical errors in stride, but the repeated passage and placeholders really bother me as it hints that someone hasn’t even done a final read through. I read this book through KU so I’m a bit disappointed in the lazy feel it gives off, but I’d be more upset if I paid for the book specifically.
I was laughing, I was crying, I was mad and then happy by the end. Jayne Hawke is an amazing writer who hit this trilogy outta the park. They were all a fast read and I never wanted to put my kindle down.
Watching Rosalyn come into her own and find her strength as not just a Garou but as a guardian was great. Watching her find the balance of not ripping out peoples throat and being diplomatic was hilarious. But I understand because I would do the same for soulmate. The only problem I have with this trilogy is that it's a trilogy and there isn't a 4th book. I would love one more book about the aftermath with the hunters and how Rosalyn and Cole grow together. Overall amazing book.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. Finally everything seems to be coming together for Rosalyn and her new pack, that is until Cole is taken. Now the clock is ticking and she needs to find him before he's sacrificed not only to save him but also the world. Not to much pressure for a new Guardian. The characters keep getting better as does the plot. With a perfect balance of suspense, action and humour, added to the enchanting narration, you'll find yourself listening much longer then you intended.
I was having a blast reading this. It was full of politics, betrayal, revenge, despair and was fast paced and action packed. I really thought this would be a 4 star read... right up until the lacklustre last scene. The way it ended really didn’t do justice to the adventure the rest of the book had been. Plus it seems like there is a set up for more books (different protagonists?) as it doesn’t tie up all the loose ends.
Rosalyn has to scramble with her makeshift pack to save Cole from the Apophis witches. It's more difficult than it should be because it turns out they have more enemies than she thought.
This was still ok. A lot of things happen with a lot of different creatures and there's not a whole lot of explaining. That would be my only complaint of this series...but it's a big one.
This is the last in the series and I finished it...that is my only disappointment. The storyline is exciting, concise and rewarding. I will be reading the other series as they come available.
These three books got better as they went along. Still a little simplistic in places and I thought that the secondary cast was better than the mains. But unanswered questions such as what happened to Jake?
The series is over too soon! I hope that the author revisits the series with new adventures and characters! Books 1-3 were all wonderful reads and I hope to read more about the characters!
