I recently visited this fascinating little village that strongly reminded me on Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy/France. Here you find its complete history, reference to legends (e.g. Tristan and Isolde or Jack The Giant Killer) and good illustrations. You'll even learn the connection to the French site with the similar name. What a magical building with a history over thousands of years. If you ever come to Cornwall or like stories like those on King Arthur simply take your time to do a trip there. Absolutely worth it. This place is a legend come true. Highly recommended historical book to a magical site.

Having always had a fascination for the tiny island off the Cornish coast and having recently seen Martin Clunes visit it on his television programme about islands around Britain, I decided I needed to know more. And I now do thanks to a splendidly written and researched book that the present incumbent of the island has produced. Brief but exhaustive and extremely well illustrated, it is quite surprising to see how involved the island has been in the history of Great Britain. An excellent read and well recommended.
