Asian Billionaire's Unknown Baby Son

Rate this book

The past wasn’t done yet… and neither was I.

Money.
Power.
Reputation.
Nothing else mattered in my world.

Although, that didn’t mean life was all boardrooms.

Take my college days –
Drinking.
Partying.
F@#king.
One girl, in particular, actually.

Tara Price.

My semester in America was…
Very sweet.
No, hot.
Tara and I danced that fine line between friendship and lovers.

But then our time was up.
I went back to Singapore,
To my family,
To my future obligations within my father’s company,
Never to see her again…

Until now.

I knew fate could be twisted for some people;
I just thought I’d always have control.
Maybe it was the Asian heritage in me;
Set in my ambitions,
With no room for error.

But Tara kept something from me.
Something I can’t ignore.
A son.

My son.

It might not be my culture’s way,
Or my family’s wish,
But I won’t shirk my responsibilities as a man.
As a father.

And Tara needs to accept that too,
Because this time,
I’m not going anywhere.

Note: Asian Billionaire's Unknown Baby Son is a steamy second-chance romance between an Asian billionaire and a beautiful American woman.

The title Asian Billionaire's Unknown Babay Son title is a bit misleading.

Tara and Aiko meet in colledge they have an affaire and then Aiko returns home to Japan. Years pass and the two meet again in Singapore working on a green building for Aiko's father who is suppose to be a billionaire. There is nothing in the story to discribe the life of a billionaire. Aiko finds out that Tara had his son who is not a baby but a 7 year old. There is no relationship building or conversations between Ko the son and his father Aiko once they meet.

This to me is just lazy writting by the author. The saving grace is its a short story.

2.75 Stars. (BW/AM) Kindle e-book. Tara Price and Aiko Sato met in college and interacted for one semester about 4 months. Both are good students and maintain high GPAs and both are careless and irresponsible sexual partners, they become f*ck buddies and didn't use protection against an STD nor contraception against an unwanted pregnancy. Having that info as a back drop, author then concocts scenarios that present Aiko in a negative light by using his promiscuousness as a measure of his maturity... Although his father dismisses his value, Aiko manages to earn 2 degrees and to amass billions of dollars independent of his father's financial holdings. The author then attempts to have the reader overlook or minimize Tara's immature selfish decision to keep Aiko in the dark by presenting her as a victim...she's impregnated by a womanizer, she's marginalized by Akio's father and her white male co-worker/ admirer because of her race and their misogyny. Tara's righteous indignation is limitless because in the space of 6 months following a seven year absence and a child later, she had no qualms about having unprotected sex with Aiko; but can't bring herself to tell him that he's a father. Eventually and in closing, the author has Aiko liquidate all his Japanese assets, move to the States, eat crow and beg Tara to dub him worthy of her and his son. "What a crock of s*it."

Aiko, Spoiled Man Child!

There were way too many brats in this story, starting with Aiko. How could expect his father to have faith in him when he continues to behaves like a spoiled playboy who did not display his maturity until he moved to be closer to Tara and Ko? I was disappointed in Tara for not letting Aiko know about their son before they became physical again. Aaron and Tsunada would be a match made in hell if he had more money. Both of them were just all they way wrong. I loved both moms on both sides, both sweet, supportive and loved their children, I so did not understand why Aiko’s father could not love and support him, and dismissed him the way that he did, being that he is the only child that they had and would think that he would be expected to take over someday, but he has a great mom at least. A few things confused me about the Tara’s mom’s age “being near 40” and Ko’s age of 7. Would not she be more near 50? I would have really enjoyed karma getting both Aaron and Tsunada, but alas, that was not disclosed.

Cultural norms sometime circumvent true happiness!

I try desperately to understand why cultures the world over seem to consider themselves better than American Black folk. I used to try to understand why especially when their pre-conceived notions are almost always proven wrong they still persist with the same mindset. Now I just see it as their issue and no reason we should change who we are to allay their erroneous perceptions. Such was the case with Tara and the Senior Mr. Sato who immediately dismissed her as unimportant and chose instead to greet the White man who was not even in charge of their operation. Even when she spoke his language perfectly he still dismissed her as unworthy seemingly due to her being African American. Glad Aiko got his act together and took the gentle prodding of his mother to go after the woman he loves and his child he wants to parent. A really good story.

Just ok

Quick read novela. I'm just so desperate for decent BWAM romances, I'll take what I can get. I'm not big on women having a secret child by a man and never telling the guy about the child just because. Like in this case, Aiko wasn't abusive or dangerous, they just had a more casual sexual relationship in college. That's no excuse to hide the man's a child from him! He had a right to know, especially when you inadvertently end up working with him and his company, start sleeping with him again and STILL don't tell him that the child he knows you have is also his! He had every right to be upset that Tara wasn't forthcoming with this info. So that basically threw me off with this romance. They got their HEA but overall, the story just fell flat for me.

I like it a lot!!

That was a great read !!
I enjoyed it very much, ... I don't understand Aito's father, what his deal? Is he power hungry, that he can't share with his son ... ???
I feel bad for Aaron, but he should man enough, and tell Tara how he felt. instead of siding with "shedevil" and acting out.
Both mothers are superb.
I don't believe that Tara' mom is closed to 40, it has to be a typo, the math doesn't add up.
Love little Ko, and glad they are having more babies!! Yay!
Ps, when is grandma Sato is meeting her grands?!

Good Read

This book had a slightly different vibe. It was a second chance at love/pregnancy story. Aiko and Tara spent a semester together when he went to school with her. At the end of the semester he went back to Japan and she ended up pregnant. They reconnected years later in Singapore. They had to work through obstacles mainly why she didn’t tell him she was pregnant. There was interference but they were able to finally make adult choices.

Fun quick story

This story had a happy ending that was cute and everything that you would want. I would like to say that the dialogue in this book was better developed than books I’ve read by these authors in the past. The conflict was a little predictable and the Asian Dad being stoic and rude is a bit overdone. Overall good read.

Quick Love Story

Tara never expected to see Aiko again especially not while she was working on a project with Aaron, who had a crush on her, for Hideaki Sato, Aiko's father. She also never expected for him to find out that they had a son together either. This was a cute read and I'm glad that they got their HEA.

An okay read....

It was okay overall. I don't understand why the main character hasn't learnt to speak up for herself or take people to task, but I guess there are people like her out there. There are ways and ways to ensure you get and keep respect... this seemed like a weak way out.
... otherwise... again, an okay read.

Could have been a better book......

This could have been a great read. I felt that it was rushed, the characters weren’t “fleshed”out, the plot was hella weak and the little bit of so called “controversy” with the dad had me doing an eye roll 🙄. I finished this book because I’m not a quitter. And the H came across as a spoiled man child and the h was smart but not smart.

Good read

A nice plot, well written. The only thing that was missing (in my opinion) was more interaction between Aiko and Ko. They met, hit it off and that’s all we got. The reader wasn’t given any awkward situations or some conversations between father and son. It would have helped us to understand the relationship they had formed.

Time Doesn't Change True Love

Loved this story. I loved that the Black, female main character was so well-written and realistic. The writing was so descriptive and sharp that it had been rooting for Tara and Aiko to love each other truly and have a future together where they're evenly matched.

Enjoyable Read!

I really enjoyed the storyline, at first I thought Akio was a spoiled child trying to get approval from a selfish father. But Tara seem to change him when they rekindled their romance. A lots of twist and turns, drama , intrigue and I definitely recommend.

Not Sure....

I liked the fact that this book was really a flip of the way men usually act. But I'm this story Tara had the actions that men do in most books. But I'm not really sure about the chemistry between the two. It was a little off to me

Love lost?

There is something g to be said about finding true love. It doesn’t matter how much time lapses or where life takes you on your individual journeys, if it is meant to be it will be even with headache, hurt, trauma and dark secrets.

Asian Billionaire’s Unknown Baby Son

Loved the dynamics of this couple. Aiko was a little slow in that … How could he not realize that Ko was his son! No words for Aaron due to his verbiage on a professional level with someone you work for is an HR issue!!!!

Good story

The female character was a strong, take care of herself kind of individual, who with her mother's support took excellent care of her child. Main male character had a lot of growing up to do but finally managed to find himself and get it together. Nice read.
