A Mighty King, Robbed of His Powers and Turned into a Monster…
After an entire life dedicated to the study of the occult, King Augher has reached the pinnacle of his art. He’s managed to achieve what no other practitioner could before him: true immortality. But if he thinks that the great powers he acquired would be his saving grace, they will reveal to be his downfall.

In truth, people are plotting in his back to claim the throne he’s been holding onto for far too long. And soon, the inevitable happens; he’s betrayed by those closest to him. His immortal soul gets separated from his carnal envelope and locked away inside a Void-mouth.

Fast-forward a few hundred years, and one of the necromancers who put him away is back at the castle with an army of Ascended to finish what he started. To enslave Augher’s soul and turn him into the most formidable weapon: a Lich. However, before the necromancer can complete the ritual, Augher manages to break free and kill his tormentor.

Now back in the world of the living, but stuck in the body of a skeleton, Augher will discover a fractured kingdom that bears no resemblance to the realm he left behind. Moreover, he no longer possesses the powers that once made him the greatest mage in the entire land. That said, his new condition isn’t without its benefits; by killing the necromancer during the ritual, he was imbued with some of his dark powers, a new kind of magic, one that allows him to raise the dead. But can he learn to control it?

As it turns out, Augher will need all the help he can get as he finds himself caught up in a deadly war where his enemies might be even fiercer monsters than him, a mere Skeleton King.
