Jacqueline Winters has been writing since she was nine when she'd sneak stacks of paper from her grandma’s closet and fill them with adventure. She grew up in Small-Town Nebraska, and spent a decade living in beautiful Alaska. She writes contemporary sweet romances and contemporary romantic suspense.

She’s a sucker for happily ever after’s, has a sweet tooth that can be sated with cupcakes, and firmly believes sangria was possibly the best invention ever. On a relaxing evening, you can find her at her computer writing her next novel with her dog poking his adorable head out from beneath the desk.

While characters from the first book appear in this one, the story reads well as a stand-alone.
Speaking of characters, the characters are great––well rounded with distinct backgrounds, strengths, and fears. The main characters have been friends since their teens, but not really close friends.

She's exaggerated a bit to her dad and needs a fake boyfriend. Enter the hero.
Except, he's not pretending. Soon she realizes she's not either...

You've got to read this for yourself to see how it all plays out.

A love worth waiting for

A wonderful story of loss, pain and ever abiding love. Pain and loss experienced via child of divorce and the death of a warrior/brother/son during war overseas. Jillian discovers and acknowledges (at least to herself) her love for best friend Brantley, who has loved her for years yet never declared his love to Jilly. Read how lies and secrets are all brought out to the open due to events in the week leading up to Jillian's dad's second marriage to his spiteful new bride-to-be!

A tiny white lie becomes a problem for Jillian and now she's gotta spruce the fake boyfriend she's been telling her dad about. Brantley has been in love with her since their teens, can this be the chance he's been waiting for? Sweet small-town romance with fun characters and situations.

Best Friends

Her father is getting married again and her soon to be step monster has Jillian doing all kinds of crazy things. The woman makes her a stark raving lunatic. With that, she now has a fake fiance, a world renowned photography business and is tripping over her lies~

I really enjoyed this best friends fake relationship romance. I’ve been reading this series completely out of order, but since it’s centered around the town and not a family, it works out just fine. I enjoyed the characters and their adventures together and lessons about trust and finding healing.

It is an easy read. It’s good, no steamy sex. I recommend it. It’s a stand-alone with Happily Ever After.

I’ve read better ones, explains the 3 stars.

This was a really cute romance, love the town, and the people! Can't blame her for the nickname for the stepmother! A great storyline and ending!
