MVP means Marley Van Connor. Truth though: she is the most valuable player in a multi-national business that grows and sells high-grade marijuana. Her goal is to prove to the world the healing power of her product. She’s written papers published in medical journals, plans to get her PhD, and she can’t wait ’til she’s eighteen. Yep. She became a mogul in the early years of high school. As with almost all the Devil’s Spawn, Marley kept her secret from her parents for as long as she could. The kicker, she has a bigger surprise, and his name is Talon Roberts.
GUILTY OF LOVE
As the lead guitarist of Clashing Swell, Talon Roberts is living his dream. His band is signed with RiffRaff records, and they’re touring the country promoting their album. Everything should be picture perfect. But… He feels like a perv. He’s secretly fallen for Dash Connor’s sixteen year-old daughter, Marley. No effin’ way is Talon touching that. Time and distance allows them to start a friendship, but nothing more. Not until Marley is legal. And when that girl turns eighteen, she’s going belong to Talon. Forever.
I live in Austin, Texas with my husband, daughter, 3 rescue dogs, 1 cat, and one bunny (that doesn't seem to like us). I love reading romance novels as much as I love writing them. I feel like inspiration can come from anywhere; a song lyric, a quote, a weekend with friends. The tiniest things can spark amazing stories.
I love LOVE these Devils Share books soooo much. I look forward to each and every new one. Am I obsessed? Maybe lol. But!!!! You will be too. Take my word for it. Once you get started, their like lays potato chips. You can't READ just one!
Certainty is book 7 in the RiffRaff Record series and would say one of the best. I was a little unsure of how this book was going to play out as it goes back before Talon and Marley are together but L.P. Maxa did an amazing job of letting the characters tell their beautiful love story. Loved it from start to finish and couldn’t put it down.
Certainty is book seven in the riff raff records series. This story is Talon and Marley’s story. I have been eager to read their story since finishing the previous book – Piracy. I devoured this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. I loved the way the past moments were written. I struggle usually with stories that jump back a bit but the way those parts were written in this story felt like it was the present. I really liked Marley. She is strong, smart and independent. I liked that she was straight talking. She didn’t do things she didn’t want to do. I liked Talon but he did irritate me a little. I understood why he wanted/had to stay away from Marley but he would push her away and then wouldn’t leave her alone until she talked to him. I did understand why it messed with Marley’s head. The chemistry between Talon and Marley was clear to see and I liked them as a couple. Overall, I really enjoyed this story! The storyline is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more from this series.
I am so in love with this series and these characters. With each new book it just keeps getting better and better. Talon and Marley were no exception. She is so sassy and wise beyond her years. Always ready to call anyone on their bs. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to pursue it. Talon is...all the swoon. He’s sweet and gentlemanly. Hell bent on doing right by Marley. It’s admirable and charming at the same time. Despite the age gap I don’t think Marley’s parents could find anyone better. Their story is a sweet, slow burn with a fantastic ending. It leaves us with quite the setup for the next book. I look forward to Emmie as well as seeing what the rest of the Devils Share crew is up to.
You won’t appreciate the few finer points of this book unless you’ve read all the others before it. Also hero is predatory and creepy? It’s not romantic for a 25 yr old adult to lust after a 16 yr old child, even if he doesn’t act on it (yet).
I really enjoyed this book! I love this series and getting to read Marley and Talon’s story is great. Marley is just like her Mum and Talon has every attribute that you want in a leading man. I was a little hesitant with the amount of the story that is told in the past, especially as time isn’t always easy to pinpoint, but it is necessary to the story. I have to admit being a shocked at the speed of events once we get caught up, but I realise the Devil’s Share and the Devil’s Spawn do things a little differently. Still, it’s a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to read the next book!
One thing I will say, the sneak peek at the end? I’m not crazy about how “incestuous” all the relationships are. Between Riff Raff and Clashing Swell, it’s all in the family, except for Evie. I’d like to see a little bit of new blood injected here.
Talon falls for Marley when she is 16 years old and since he is way older he stays away from her. Eventually they start a friendship that leads to more. Although Talon refuses to moveit along until she turns 18. For 2 years they have kept their friendship a secret. They decide to reveal they are involved when she graduates from HS. Of course Marley goes back on her word and keeps Talon waiting. I never really did understand her reasoning for waiting. This book was okay but at times it dragged on and on.
Another secret romance. Loved it. I've run out of Riffraff until the next is released and my binge has stopped short until then. I've run through these 7 books in a weekend. The whole series is great and I can't work out who my favourite is which is the sign of a really good series. I'm going to have to go back and re-read all the Devil's Share books now.
The only problem with this series is that when you get to the end you are already desperate for the next book! I really liked that this book was different than the others. Marley and Talon deserved their own kind of story!
Man I can never get enough of these books. I love them. Each one shows so much love and devotion with some fun and drama. Talon was so cute waiting for m to be of age, they make such a cute couple. So glad they got there happy ever after.
You really have to read the nook before this one to understand the ending chapters. That being said this chapter of the Devils spawn is great if s bit repetitive. Still enjoyable, but no drama other than her age.
As I've stated before I absolutely 💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘 this series so far! I hope that we get Crue, Avory, Emmie books soon! Marley &Talon was mesmerising. I hope we also get the rest of the guys from Talons band.
Wow, this series just keeps getting better and better. Love Marley and Talon‘s story. I love the way LP keeps the rest of the family in the story and how everything intertwines. Can’t wait for the next book… Please keep them coming
Marley and Talon' s love story was different then all the other Devil Spawn stories, because Talon was always a good guy. He wasn't a reform bad guy. He had a lot of heart and soul, always trying to do the right thing for Marley. I loved Marley, because she reminded me of a guy, always acting tough, but being a fluff of marshmallow in the inside. I loved that she always made Talon accountable and gave Talon his Bs right back to him.
I really loved their love story. The only thing I wished for was some more insight on Dash's thoughts. I loved when he reacts to his kids relationships. This is one of my favorite series. I enjoy every book. I will miss this family when it comes to an end.
The best quote that describes this book and series was said by Marley but spoke by Talon, " the world got in no matter how much distance you put between it and yourself. "
This series of rock stars and their off springs in my absolute favorite. Talon and Marley.story being told from start to things after the big reveal was just sweet. The respect, restraint, and understanding was a hidden gem. The inside workings of Talon mind to hold back the jealous beast had her laughing and in an all.at the same time. Coming to terms and owning what the heart wanted and the reality of the situation was what made this a five star read for me.
Gah!! I have loved all of the Devil's Spawn, aka RiffRaff Records series, books but Certainty is my favorite!! L.P. Maxa does something a little bit different with this Rockstar Talon. He's not the usual manwhore badboy....he's still sexy and knows his way around the dirty talk but he has a moral compass and wants to do right by Marley, who is just shy of legal. I just love Marley! She's feisty and sassy, a true bada$$. She is an old soul. I truly loved their story and HEA.
This story was sooo worth the wait!! I’ve been anxiously awaiting to read how these two got together. I knew their story would be great. I loved how Talon tried to make everything special for Marley. I understood at first Marley’s need to keep everyone else out of their special bubble, however it was heartbreaking at times because Talon so wanted to share his love for her with the world. I loved reading reading it and can’t wait for the next story!!
