After the events of Proxy, the whole world has changed and people are looking to Tad for answers.

Unfortunately, Tad is busy picking up the broken pieces of his life.

Between mourning lost friends, struggling with his guilt over their deaths, helping Tony to adapt to a new existence, looking after his daughter, and somehow keeping a new relationship alive; Tad isn’t ready for another supernatural threat that only he can deal with.

However, the world isn’t prepared to wait. They know who he is now… know what he is… and they’re not shy in seeking him out, especially when the stakes are so high.

The nightmares are coming, and the people of the world are looking to the Dreamwalker to save them.

Gareth is sure he’ll get superpowers one day, but for now, they’re just lost in transit. Until they arrive, he might as well write about the ones he hopes are coming.

He has been reading fantasy stories for nearly twenty years and is always looking for something new. Therefore, his goal is to write books about things he’s never seen before.

So if you fancy something a little different, give this book a try.

I’m on vacation now. Review to follow once I return home.

Okay, I am back home now. I normally write my reviews right after I read the book because the story is fresh in my mind. My feelings for the story are also close to the surface and it is easier to describe what I feel in the moment. It has been a week since I finished this book, so while the story is still fresh in my mind, any feelings that I have about the story are somewhat distant. I think this is somewhat of a disservice to the author since I like to focus my reviews on how the story makes me feel and the thoughts I had while reading. I am not an english teacher and couldn't care less about sentence structure or spelling errors. While this was a good story, I didn't like it as much as the first book. This has more to do with what I wanted this book to be, instead of what it was. The entire first book dealt with Proxy's and their ghost. I enjoyed reading about what that meant, the rules of how that worked and the relationships between the characters. I also thought the ending of that book was great because it defied my expectations and opened up a whole new world. This book focused on that new world of dream. There were just too many changes between the first book and the second book in such a short period of time. I feel the author could have written at least 4-5 more books about the ghosts and Proxy's before transitioning to the new powers of this world. At its core, this book was very much a character driven story. Each character that was left had to deal with the changes that dream has brought to the world, the loss of friends from the last book, and the new cost of being famous. Don't get me wrong, this was a good story. I enjoyed it. I just wanted more about Proxy's and ghosts as I liked it so much in the first book. The question now is "Where is the story going next?" Are proxy's and their ghosts going to a big part of the story again or it the new world of dream going to dominate the rest of the series? Or, maybe something completely new?
