F*ck Perfect

Rate this book
Ava is the sweetest, f*ckin’, most forbidden fruit that I should’ve never tasted yet the only one who seems to hear my silent cry for help. I warned her that she should turn away and run in the other f*ckin’ direction, but she stayed and decided to love me instead. Flaws and all.

I have secrets. Who doesn’t? But the ones I have are caged for a reason and if released could send me straight to hell, along with the love of my life—because I refuse to let her go.

*Warning!! The steam factor was lit!!!*
description

Ava and Bryce’s relationship takes you on a mind-blowing and steamy ride. From instants of how they got together to their relationship in the present. Danyell Wallace definitely outdid herself with the second book to this series. F*cking amazing is what this is! This story had me all up in my feels, my heart beating out of my chest, and my grown a$$ adding another favorite to my I/R shelf.

What I love most about this series are the storyline and Ava and Bryce’s chemistry. Their back and forth POV’s was a nice insight into their perspective on things and the bittersweet friendship they kept throughout the years. This hit my favorite genre Y/A to N/A I/R. I had an awesome F*cking time reading this story!

Happy Reading Friends!

I looooooove this book, from the opening paragraph to ‘The End’ 😊. The entire story is so dramatic and intimate. It’s an emotional rollercoaster 🎢 ride that I couldn’t get enough of.

And one of the things I really really loved about the writing is there are no C word or colorful vagina adjectives used. It’s all D’k & P’y, grown folk words 💪🏾💪🏾😁, & I am FOREVER a fan of Mrs. Wallace because of that.

Ava and Bryce go through it. He is so beautifully flawed and she is so stable in this story. Sure, she is his lifesaver but it doesn’t come off as a lopsided relationship where she gets lost in the turmoil.

She is a true friend to him despite his chaos swirling around them. The entire story is so raw and perfect, I’m in love with it all 🙂.

I thoroughly recommend this book.

Excellent

Great love story with many ups and downs. Ava and Bryce were relatable characters that followed a tough journey to love.

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I must say it will have you on fire.
The storyline between the two major characters Ava and Bryce was just amazing and explosive with their relationship with each other.
The author really held my interest with this storyline where I found myself laughing, feeling heated (the steamy sex), getting mad with a couple of other characters especially Stacie. I enjoyed how the author showed how sometimes things happen in life but you just have to forgive and move on, along with getting help if you find yourself having an addiction problem.
There is so much I want to say but I don't want to give any spoilers. You just have to read this book for yourself and then you will understand just how good it is and my review.
I highly recommend this book to read and I look forward to reading more books by this author.

I truly enjoyed this book. It was a great story from beginning to end. Bryce and Ava had great chemistry and a connection that was undeniable. You could easily pick it up from the very beginning. This story was well written and flowed easily. I have been a fan of Danyell Wallace's book since "His Number One Fan". She did a great job. I look forward to reading her next release.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Let me just say, this did NOT disappoint! I've read the first book in the series as well, and the stories this author fabricates are brilliant, but this book had me turning pages until it was read in two sittings.

If you love a hot plot, pun intended, and enough to keep you guessing and interested, then this is a must read.

I have read both books from the Mindfuck Series. I have loved both stories and all the characters. I love that Ms. Wallace makes her male characters: vulnerable and needy. The men need a strong woman to come in and save them. Or help direct them to get the help themselves. Let's take Ava and Bryce for instance. I never felt that Ava was trying to change Bryce. She always wanted to help him. Be strong when he couldn't be strong which just happened to be often. Bryce and Ava were in a dark place but came to the light. I can't express how much I enjoyed it. I would recommend it to see if my friends agree. There are some touchy subjects talked about in this story: Sexual abuse of a minor, domestic violence, child abuse, suicide, and sexual addiction. I don't think any of the characters were addicted to sex unless it was with each other. There is a strong sexual presence. So please be over 18 when reading this book.

Read it and let's talk about it.

Happy Reading!

Love that doesn't give up

These two are stupid. Not in a bad way but in a "it's clear you two love each other" so why are you two letting things get in the way.

I loved this story. It follows almost the same formula as Mindf*ck but somehow is better.

I loved how broken and damaged Bryce is.

Ava was cute and loveable. The perfect girlfriend for Bryce.

Loved the angst and push-pull. Loved how their relationship just refreshes and gets sexciting every time they're torn apart.

The Staci plot was just stupid and annoying and clearly written for the drama.

The first couple of chapters were hot when we didn't know the MC's past but there was a lot of chemistry and steam which was even more hot because we assume they've never been in a relationship.

So, F*ck Perfect was my favorite of the MindF*ck books.

I loved Bryce and Ava! Poor Bryce had so much drama for his few years but I appreciated every juicy bit. It was scandalous and sadly, not unbelievable; these are tough situations some do experience. Ava was the good girl who swooped in and provided the support Bryce was lacking and afraid to ask for. She recognized that although Bryce had a screwy past, it didn't define him. She wanted him to recognize that as well. She offered him happiness and comfort where he seemed to be accustomed to seeking comfort in physical pleasures and other vices. I loved the protectiveness both of these young characters possessed. Bryce was his sister’s champion and protector and Ava became his. Being a frequent reader of OOT alpha males & alpha assholes, Bryce was refreshing. He was definitely a guy’s guy and very whor…ah, promiscuous😏 but he was still likable and had endearing qualities.

I loved all of the other characters as well. Excuse me, most of them. I am not a fan of abusive fathers.

I WAS expecting more post high school story but I got over it quick enough and just enjoyed Ava and Bryce’s journey to young love and eminent disaster.

The editing…arghh! I’m so upset with the whoever edited Mrs. Wallace’s work for this series. There were quite a few editing hiccups in both books; words were missing and the mechanics were just off at times. I found myself rereading sentences and having to infer because something was missing. Sometimes the dialogue felt beyond high school kids; not the subject matter but the word choice. It was messing with me.

Hiccups aside, the story was humorous, drama filled, and tender. Oh! And hot. It was hottt!

Also, when Bryce visited Ava’s church and listened to her solo…I felt that.

Awwww

I really didn’t know what to expect from this book knowing how Bryce was in the first book. He truly was a man whore!! I thought for sure i would cussing Bryce out at some point. But to see how their relationship evolved was soothing. Bryce had his demons and you didn’t know why until it all came to a head. Ava truly was his saving grace. That epilogue kinda threw for a bit but I enjoyed the pieces of the puzzles coming together.

Yea

Glad to see Bryce and Ava got their happy ending. I am not sure I would be that understanding with him putting her through all that.

Shame 3.5 stars

I enjoyed most of the book, however the jump in timeline was too much. Too much of the book was dedicated to high school and too little to afterwards and the development of their relationship. I wish their time in college was more detailed but more importantly when they reconnected. From what I could piece together they met 3 weeks before her graduation but then how did she found out so quickly about her pregnancy so much so that she decided to go back home? How long was she actually pregnant for before her scare? How did they reconnect when she came back? After they decided to stay together how did they tell her parents? Where do they live? What does Brice do etc.. so many unanswered questions.

Disappointing

First and foremost I don’t want to hear about gay couples or anybody experimenting with the same sex in the books I read. If you want to write about that as the author than write about it in a book that classified under that genre. This book was severely lacking. Also, the teenage sex was distasteful. Although, I get having flashbacks: however, it should’ve been minimal because as an adult with a teenager I don’t want to read about teens having sex. This is the second time I’ve tried to read one of this author’s book, and I don’t think I’ll be reading another.

Good but I think I loved the First One better

I got a little confused toward the end at the time-line. I also didn't fully grasp why she walked away the way she did. Yes he messed up but it didn't feel like a huge deal breaker. I would love to hear more from both couples esp a description of their life with the baby and for Kennedy and Clay to ha e one as well. .

90% of this book was dedicated to Bryce and Ava’s senior year in high school, which is cool, I just wish there were more “present day” scenes other than the first and last chapter. That layout choice (?) made things happening in the present seem random to me, like, how did we get here?

Sad comparison

This book is no where near the caliber of the first; I thought it was a continuation as book 2 implied but it’s not should’ve read the the reviews more thoroughly
