Expressive Singing: Dalcroze Eurhythmics for Voice

Rate this book
In Expressive Dalcroze Eurhythmics for Voice, Timothy Caldwell pulls together concepts from Eurhythmics, "rules" of musical expression from Lussy, and neurologically-based approaches to practicing. He then presents them in new, coherent approaches to teaching, learning, and performing.

The most helpful and specific book I've read to date regarding a practical application of the Dalcroze approach to learning music. Mind you, I haven't read much, I'm just interested in learning as much ad I can and this book was the next step on that journey. Even though it was written for voice teachers, I found it useful for me as an amateur singer and elementary music teacher, piano teacher, and choir director. I look forward to internalizing and utilizing a lot of the ideas and practical suggestions here.
