This comic is ongoing so I haven't actually "finished" it, but I've been keeping up with the bi-weekly updates ever since I discovered this on Webtoon, November of 2021.

This is probably one of the best webcomics I've ever read. Not only is the art style captivating, but it feels like every line put down was done with such purpose. You can tell that Tesslyn has carved out her own artistic signature among often repetitive webcomic styles. The visual representations and symbolism of PTSD, and discovering consciousness is frankly sick as fuck. The art is just so cool. It's my most anticipated comic update.

It's set way in the future—a future where humans, other animals, and plants are all at the very imminent threat of extinction due to climate change on Earth. Tesslyn's imagination of Earth is visually exciting and very mentally engaging. Her take on futuristic technology is seriously refreshing, and the creativity sets Facing the Sun apart from most ideas of post-disaster/post-apocalyptic societies. Facing the Sun explores topics of fear, grief, trauma, guilt, and love through Liza (L-001) and Aarya—a "dysfunctional android prototype", and an equally dysfunctional human.

THIS IS SO GOOD OMG!!! i love the intricate dystopian worldbuilding, as well as how the comic touches on processing trauma and the current work culture. it's still updating, so i'm excited to see where this story goes! ♡♡
