This was a great start to a new series. Insta everything with steam and danger.

☆1 DNF 57% If a cringe could cringe. Demi Sweet and Stone Harding? Really? Her name will mean “half hard” when they get hitched. See now, if there were some self-conscious humor in this, it could be made campy and fun. Instead, we got this. 💩

I can honestly see why I've been recommended C.M. Steele's book by other readers. I enjoyed this and couldn't stop reading until the story was over. I have already downloaded the next book in the series because I need more. 💗

This just did not work for me at all, not the hot little morsel I was expecting. Thank hell it was free and I didn't pay for it.
Writing didn't flow, depiction of plot and character interactions just didn't work and had me rolling my eyes a tad.

Demi Sweet is doing the intern job from hell, her supervisor has it out for her and no matter how hard she tries it is never good enough. When the owner of the marketing firm returns to town he sees Demi and knows she is the one for him. However he didn't realize she was an intern in his company and knows he needs to stay away until she has finished her job, but can he?
This was a fun quickie. I liked Stone, he is intense and the chemistry between he and Demi is great. A bit short but you get a whole story.

This was okay I guess, made me cringe though with the breeding kink. They've known each other for like 2 days and they're already talking about getting pregnant. Not that I have issues with pregnancy tropes, it was just kinda weird being brought up at the beginning of any romantic relationship. But hey, this is fiction so everything's possible. 🤷♀️

I kind of loved this story. It was short but steamy and over the top! The story was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. I'm glad that Stone's assistant got some comeuppance and hopefully some help as well! Demi was sweet but very focused on finishing her college degrees. Having an internship that didn't really help her with her chosen field was kind of a waste, but she is trying to suck it up and just make it through. Stone is a major workaholic. He knows he needs more in his life, but just hasn't gotten around to trying to find it. Stone sees Demi and immediately knows that she is what has been missing from his life. He quickly figures out that she's an intern and that's going to be a problem for him. Demi is also attracted to Stone and she just keeps telling herself that she has to finish the internship so she can graduate. Stone has other ideas. Demi and Stone were wonderful together. They made me smile and cracked me up as well. I loved their interactions. Demi and Stone had an amazing happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Unfortunately, and I hate to say this, the actual writing isn’t very good. It’s choppy, unrealistic, and poorly constructed. So if you’re bothered by sub-par writing this isn’t the book for you. However, if you can look past it, which I was mostly able to do, Stone is worth the read.
