Story lines and characters were above average. Unfortunately, the Heroines all had TSTL moments. These were pretty good mysteries, but not romances. The romances barely rounded first base in all 5 books. Not what I was looking for in a “contemporary romance” set of books.

I really loved this series!! The ups, the downs, with all the twists and turns!! The very strong women but even stronger men who did the women safe from themselves and from others!! The men were strong but so very gentle!! You won’t go wrong reading this series!! It keeps you hooked!!

Not my thing. At all. Got through the first book and felt tense the entire time. Call me crazy, but it's hard to pay attention to the romance of it when one character is being doped with heroin and prepped for sex trafficking. I don't know how Scarlett could have any time to bond with anyone considering her sister was kidnapped and being sold into the sex trade. I feel gross.

Loved every second
This series will grab ahold of you from the beginning. There's suspense, action, love, romance, and so much more in this series taking place in Washington DC. In the first book you'll meet Lucas and Scarlett. Scarlett has had to raise her younger sister after their parents passed away. Lucas' life hasn't been great. Since he was young things had been extremely difficult for him. When he meets Scarlett at a diner a few blocks from his work, something about her just catches his eye. When Scarlett's sister is taken Lucas and his friends do everything to get her back.
Next you'll meet Gabriel and Cate who have past history. Five years ago Gabriel rescued Cate from the clutches of a sex trafficker and slowly she began to get under his skin until she disappeared without a word. Now Cate is working undercover to break news of what DC's elite is up too. Neither Gabriel or Cate imagine seeing each other again but they do. They both have to work together to uncover what's going on and find out the real mastermind behind the crime in DC.
Next is Ethan and Isabel. They've both worked together for some time but recently things have changed. They're both working together in Las Vegas to bring down a sex trafficker who has put a price on their heads after they killed his brother. One night while out drinking, Ethan and Isabel do something that neither of them never expected.
Quita and Zach come in the next book. Ella who's stage name is Quita hasn't had a great life since her father was murdered. She and her mom were forced out of their home and shortly after Ella's mom became sick with cancer. Ella tried to find a way to help her mom and when a man told her he could help she jumped at the chance. Only know she's running from this man with no end in sight. Zach has tried to find Ella but she has managed to stay off grid until she calls for help. Zach knows he has to help her but will she let him help?
In the 5th book you meet Sully and Maggie. Sully's life wasn't easy growing up. His mom did what she only knew how to feed him and her sister and keep a roof over their heads. When his sister was attacked Sully took her from the house and tried everything to keep her safe until he was shipped off into the military. Now he and his family are under attack by an enemy who they thought was an ally. Maggie has had her whole life turned upside down from the moment she turned 18. Now her house has been burned and she doesn't know what else to expect. When her past comes back to haunt her Sully does everything he can to keep her safe. Will they have a HEA?

Book 1: Emery has been kidnapped by white slavers, her sister Scarlett is next on the kidnappers' list. Lucky for her she's got Lucas Falco (one of many incredibly handsome but flawed men at Castle Investigations - there's also the beautiful, but presumably flawed, Isabel) at her side. The story rockets along, with the increasing attraction between Scarlett and Lucas playing out alongside the search for Emery.
I think this book is for people who really don't like reading books all that much unless they read like a TV show ... scene by scene with all the depth of the shallow end of the swimming pool.
There is absolutely nothing new - the baddies are evil, the heroes are flawed, the women are beautiful, the equipment available is state of the art and the end inevitable.
In case that sounds like I don't like it - I actually do, but not a lot (it could be so much better, but if it were it would probably annoy the target audience).
I think this book is for people who really don't like reading books all that much unless they read like a TV show ... scene by scene with all the depth of the shallow end of the swimming pool.

Castle's brave brother in arm
I would have given this series five stars but some of the women in the stories frustrated me no end, as they put themselves and others in danger because of their bad choices.
The men were much better . Gabriel and Lucas were my favourite characters.
I found their stories so sad and unfortunately true.
This the first time I've read books by this author, I'll probably read more as I like to read about the men who protect the Innocent and how they eventually find their HEA.
I beg the author, please do not make the women act so foolishly as some of us are also pretty practical and smart!

The writing is OK but not particularly strong. I read some of the first story but decided that there was too much about it that I thought was silly and I didn’t want to waste any more time.
It makes zero sense that Scarlett, hours after her sister is kidnapped by a sex trafficker, would be amused by anything anyone said. Or that she would come to the big realization that she didn’t know anything about the world of sex and drugs after visiting a prostitute looking for clues about her sister. Seriously, wouldn’t she know before she walked into the door of a brothel that this wasn’t her world?

I loved everyone in each story, how they got together after all the bad they had endured. In the way every person came to love each other, after such horrified thing life brought to them. Love all the drama the excitement and most of all the passionate way each couple found the love of their lives.
Thanks to a great author Dee Bridgnorth, I never wanted to stop reading, just couldn't put this 5-book series down, found myself wanting to keep reading into the late hours of the night..

Good
I enjoyed the stories of each member of the team and the action kept me stuck to the pages of the books. However the women characters were like reading about the same character in a different body. The male characters were different personalities and great but the women fell short. The story was so good that I really didn't care. I loved how the author handled the intimacy between the courts. That was very tasteful and I will place this author on my list to buy more of their work

Action, love, and protective alphas.
Each book is great on it’s own, but when you read them in order you can feel the strong bond these guys have with each other. Tons of action saving their love ones. Even when sometimes the ladies of the story put themselves in harms way. Crazy to think stuff like this is happening every day somewhere out there, I’m just glad theirs also people like this guys that rescue the victims. Just a heads up, theirs a few hard sections of the story that might get you mad or uncomfortable, but if you focus on the positive, it’s a must read.

I had such a hard time getting through the first book in this series I couldn’t make myself read anymore. I like the store idea but I hated the female lead. Her insistence in going everywhere and the male lead let her. Just comes across as a stupid girl putting herself in danger for no reason over and over again. I ended up skimming and skipping parts just so I could get to the end and return the book

What an exceptional group of characters. These incredibly brave men were matched perfectly to some incredibly brave women. Each story brought you closer to this group. Each story brings you closer to the sinister evil that lurks at the underbelly of humanity. The things that scare us most are in the depths of these books. The heroes and the heroines that battle back time and again give us hope. Best ending ever!

What a great collection all the guys of Castle Investigations are hot Alpha males with hearts of gold and all the women who become part of their lives are strong and beautiful and have survived pain and suffering with strength and dignity. The common issue running throughout the books is the evil man The General who has manipulated their lives from when they were teenagers. These books are full of action love and passion and make for thoroughly entertaining reading.

I really REALLY wanted to like this book, because the male love interest was fascinating, and I was intrigued with his investigation company. I gave it 2 stars for that. However, I was emotionally whiplashed by the switching back and forth between brutal rape, forced IV drug use assaults, and trafficking scenes, to the abducted girl's (Emery) sister Scarlett's sexual interactions with the love interest character. A head's up to those who are emotionally traumatized by rape...these are brutal.

The stories were exceptionally violent and brutal to every female in every book. I do understand that there can be traumas that are an integral part of storylines but honestly these women were punched, hit, sliced, kicked and sexually assaulted not once but twice and sometimes more. The only saving grace was the gentleman were just that, gentleman, and tried to protect them from this over the top violence and abuse. I will not ever buy another book by Dee Bridgnorth.

Wow
This does have some dark places in each book. Not for the faint of heart. Well written and wonderful ending. No questions left unanswered. Follows through on all storylines. Parts will make you cry others will make you angry. Some will make you laugh. Thats how you know its a good book it brings out your emotions.

Security at its finest
This collection of books kept me me intrigued from the very beginning. I really enjoyed how each one flowed together without having to have a whole chapter dedicated to the previous book/books.
Kept me guessing as to who was pulling the strings up until the end. Was a really great read! Thank You!!

Castle books
This series of Castle Investigations have been some of the best books I have read. I am an avid reader. I love the paranormal books but when I had read a few books about investigations and they had been a series I got caught up in reading them all paranormal or just your human ones. Great reading. I recommend them for everyone.

Castle Investigations: The Complete 5-Book Series were my first books by author Dee Bridgnorth. They're full of mystery, intrigue, and suspense.
I thoroughly enjoyed each individual story. All the handsome hunks in Castle Investigations: Lucas, Ethan, Gabriel, Zach, and Sully! They all rock!

Good collection of books to have on hand. Even if you are a KU member, buying this to have on your kindle to go back to is great. The stories were all individually wonderful and not boring at all. I thought by the third book in this collection that the plots would repeat, but nope. Not at all. 5 stars all the way.

The men of Castle Investigations fall in love one by one. As they find their HEA they're also fighting a powerful enemy who wants to take everything from them. All the men are former military and alpha males but the women are more than their equals. Sully's book was my favorite and the best of the series.

These books were amazing, it goes to show that you can chose your friends but not your family. Five men become brothers in arms.through there military skills they form a compAny with the help from the General. Only to learn the General sir the kid of man you want as a friend along the way all men find a strong woman that leads to the Generals down fall.

A definite must read series
I absolutely loved this series with the terrific characters, lots of humor and banter, angst, mystery, suspense, and many unexpected twists and turns. It's certainly a series that you won't want to miss.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and fantastic author.

Gritty and difficult at times
I really wasn't sure about this set to start with, so much violence and real evil. Having persevered the stories gripped my attention and the climax was a triumphant victory for the heroes and the destruction of the evil characters. The final epilogue have us a view of the happy ending

Good
This was such a good series. I loved all of the guys and all of their sassy women. It is sad that people go threw these sad and sick situations for real. To many sick and greedy people in this world. To bad we just can't end them when they are caught. Boy our world would be so much better. Thank you for the suspense and reality of this series.
