Sasha and her cousin Caleb live on a planet that is about to be destroyed. Caleb is determined that they should do their best to escapewhile Sasha is dealing with the loss of almost everything. She lost her little son to a disease that killed most of their village. She doesn't want to abandon his grave but she knows her son would want her to live so she follows Caleb. He takes her to a spaceport where there is a Sapphiran charity ship who just delivered food and medical supples to their planet. Caleb manages to get them snuck aboard and find a place in the cargo hold to hide. While hiding the two overhear a couple planning on getting rid of the ship's Captain and taking over the ship. Scared, Caleb convinces Sasha that they should just lie low until the ship lands at another planet. However after a week of hiding out, it becomes very clear that Caleb is seriously sick. Sasha has to brave leaving their hiding place to ask for medical help for her cousin. Luckily she runs into nine year old Bri who is the Captains daughter. Bri is determined to do her best to help out and leads Sasha to the medical unit. After Sasha shares her story, she collapses becuase she had come down with what Caleb had.

Max is the ships Captain and a single father. His wife used to be a doctor who used to travel from planet to planet helping people. A few years ago she died of one of the diseases she was trying to fight. Max buried himself in his work except to his daughter. He feels compelled to help out people in trouble so he and his crew often do charity runs to help out struggling planets. After their last trip to Cravenloua, he wasn't expecting a stowaway, let alone two. Watching Sasha struggle against weakness to get help for her friend, made Max really admire her. He will help her and her cousin start a new life but then Sasha remembers the mutinous talk that she overheard.

The beginning of this book was a little slow but I really enjoyed it once I got further in. I received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Its an ok read for me

This was an ok read for me.
I think that the attraction was ," warm ", not the instant combustion that usually happens in these type of books. Also, there were a few misspelled or misplaced words. Not that that takes away from the story. These authors work had. Also I have found that a lit of authors outside a particular country , don't always get the jargon correct.
( I , personally have a hard time with authors from England or Australia, because some of the jargon , and slang from there means something totally different here. And most times, there is little definition to what certain phrases mean . That is not the case with this book , though. )

In this book Anna has been through the wringer. She has lost her son , as well as most all of her family. Her cousin is the only family , and he has heard of rumors of their war torn , failing planet.
And Caleb means to get both of them off this godsforsaken planet.

Max is the owner of a ship that supplies help to war torn people all over the system. He had seen some terrible things. But what the powers that be are getting ready to do to this planet goes against everything he believes in. But how could he possibly help ??
When Caleb and Anna sneak aboard his ship , so much of their lives is about to change . Anna and Caleb are already at rock bottom. No where to go but up, right ??
There were a few spots that I thought weren't thought out, and a few spots that I did enjoy . I wish that there was more descriptions of the peoples in this universe other then
, " purple ". But I do have a vivid imagination , so I filled it in !! 😄
All in all, I'm not one to tear down all of the hard work that authors and their teams go through to get a novel out. Sometimes things ate rushed and overlooked, so I'm guessing that that is what happened here. All in all a very decent story.

When your planet and life are destroyed what do you do?

Destroyed is the first book in the Alien Chaos series which introduces the reader to the a whole new universe and characters. This story centers on Sasha and Max who do not fall in love instantly but they do fall in love along the way. The story-line has action, intrigue, suspense, mystery, romance, love, family and a number of twists. Sasha's planet is being destroyed and the only way to survive is to leave. So she and her cousin Caleb sneak onto an alien ship and become stowaways. Things are good until they aren't as Caleb becomes sick and needs help which forces Sasha to wander out and try to find some. She does save Caleb and and along the way she also ends up saving the ship because of what she and Caleb had overheard while they were hiding. Max is an alien who is the captain of the ship. It is not a fighter ship but a cargo ship which brings supplies to planets and people in need. He has also suffered great loss as Sasha has.
This is a nicely written and enjoyable story. The premise of the series is interesting and well thought out and the characters are likeable and have depth and emotion. There are a number of different topics touched on in this book that have been handled well and it even though this book does not end on a cliffhanger it does appear that the series will have an overarching story-line that runs through them, along with characters overlapping.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Difficult to put down, this is a compelling and emotionally gripping story! I was so into this story that I could not put it down once I started reading it. There was so much tragic and emotional back story that I absolutely teared up a few times. Max and Sasha each had enough heavy stuff in their pasts, that you could feel the heaviness of their souls. They were surrounded by people who loved them and saved them from themselves, and by the time they found each other I was rooting for them to be ready for a new story, a new page, a new reality. Caleb, Bri, and Anna were all strong supporting characters and I am looking forward to eventually seeing their stories told too. The story builds steadily and by the time the action begins to drive the story, you'll be invested in the people and that will make the book that much more difficult to put down. I have been gifted an advanced review copy through Booksprout and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review. I loved this book, the author's depiction of the loss of a child and a spouse is so spot-on, the feelings are so on point, so real, that just for that reason alone, although there are obviously many reasons to read this, I recommend that you read this one just as soon as you get the chance.

I loved this book! The story of Sasha and Max is one filled with love, loss, war and treachery. Sasha lives on a war torn planet that is about to be destroyed. This lead her and her cousin Caleb to stow away on a ship that has delivered food. Hiding in the cargo area, they hear two people talking and it's not a good conversation. When Caleb turns up sick, Sasha must go out into the ship to find help. She does, in the form of Max's daughter, Bri. Soon both Sasha and Caleb are being treated and Max is finding himself drawn to Sasha. When they are approaching his home planet, Sasha remembers the conversation she overheard and knows she has to warn Max. She and Bri arrive on the scene in time to provide some much needed help and a distraction. Arriving home, Max vows to keep Sasha safe, cared for and loved and vows to do all he can to continue to help Caleb recover from the illness that wracked his body.

Sasha and Caleb sneak on board a ship when their planet is about to be destroyed. Hiding in the cargo bay, they overhear crew talking about mutiny. Caleb gets sick so she goes to find help, finding the captains daughter Bri. With her help, he gets better and she relays what they heard, warning Max about what is to happen. Max and Sasha start to talk and a relationship ensues, growing stronger all the time. The characters are terrific, with great backstories and intense feelings and emotions. Determination and adapting keep everything going. The storyline has plenty of drama, great dialogue, danger, surprises and romance. Loved the basic five and how they worked together as a bond between them grew. The ending was great and the teaser for the next book was interesting. Can not wait to read it.

Escaping heartache and war. Sasha and Caleb overhear that everyone on the planet they are living on will be annulated. They stowaway on a cargo ship captained by Max and his friend Anna. After a week hiding, Sasha has to go for help because Caleb is sick. But what will happen to Sasha and Caleb when they reveal themselves? And what about the plot they overheard? Several crew members are plotting to take over the ship. Should Sasha tell Max what they overheard? Or is it safer if she doesn’t say anything? A sad and emotional story with snippets of humour. Sasha and her cousin Caleb, steal away in a ship about to leave their home planet before it is destroyed. Unknown to either, is that they are both sick Sasha has lost a son and meets Max's daughter, Bri. Earlier, the two had listened to a potential uprising amongst a few of Max's crew. Max has also lost, his first partner, Bri's mother. There is a draw between them and Bri just loves it, even his best mate Anna see's it. As events unfold and they deal with the threat, they come together, much to the delight of family and friends. It was a thoroughly enjoyable read and look forward to more in this series.

What a great book. I loved it! It starts out a bit confusing in the beginning, but as you carry on reading, everything comes together.
Sasha and her cousin escape a dying world, on a space ship. Unknowing, they are badly sick. When Sasha goes out to find help for Caleb, she runs into Bri. Max, the captain sees them on the camera and goes to find out what happens. When Sasha sees him she faints....

Read this great, well written book to find out what happens next.

It was a great start to a new series. I really enjoyed the read. Sasha and Max have both have major losses in their life. Sasha finds her way onto a ship as a stowaway along with a family member. When they get sick, She takes the risk and ventures out for help essentially saving both their lives. She also ends up saving some of the crews lives too. Sasha and Max did fall in love soon after they met, but it wasn't an insta-love. It was a deep and sometimes emotional read. I look forward to the next book in the series.

This is a great quick and easy read. This does not in any way mean that the story is simple or plain. There is lots going on and undercurrents of things to come. I have always loved alternate POV because is kind of gives me the feeling that I know more than the characters are willing to share, little power trip going on here. Sasha is a complete hero with all she has gone through and everything she does after that. Max tries to run from feeling but he does see his mistakes when they are pointed out to him. How could you not want these two to find each other!

Uh, ok. It was a cute story the whole way, right to the end. It was sweet and nice then right at the end, she goes off character and back. I mean really. Hard to describe without spoilers. It's like the author wrote a sweet clean story and right at the end remembered she wanted it to be hot and steamy.
Just not impressed at all.
