In the first two books in the Bleed Out series, we're told that America's second civil war was caused by It... But what exactly was It?

I enjoy the Bleed Out series and have always been curious what IT really was. I was pleased to hear that the author was writing a 'Book 0' before moving onto Book 3.

This prequel explains what this mysterious force of It is all about. Within the span of a few days time, a series of cataclysmic events happen to occur in a short time, each worse than the last. These events lead to the dissolving of the USA and sets North America on a new path - the world we first encountered in the critically acclaimed Bleed Out series.

This terrifying, chilling thriller will have Americans wondering... Could It happen to us?

This book was definitely action-packed, well-written, and helps flesh out the world of Bleed Out. To be quite honest, this seems like an event that could actually happen in this mixed up world of 2019.

I recommend everyone to read this book (and entire series) as a cautionary tale for what could come. Start with and then move to the other two.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my feedback.

Straughn Bowman, doesn't pull any punches with this gritty thriller.
Some of his scenes were so breathtaking It was actually making my fingers ache from clutching the book so tightly. The virus that killed millions was released on purpose by its creator. The devastation that this virus caused was absolutely catastrophic. People were struck in aircraft in cars and no one was safe when it hit.

As per his other books, Straughn is a master of the thriller and you will find it difficult to read another book In this genre with the level of violent death and destruction as you will find in: "It Just Happened." It is the perfect prequel released at just the right time. I have also read Straughn's other two books and his storytelling just keeps improving. Well worth 5 stars of anyone's money.

Great thought on what could happen

Read all three books waiting on fourth. It's a person thoughts on what could happen. Conjecture. But not really unrealistic.

Uncompromising and brutal

So much horror set in motion by two men. One man from the desert, the other behind a keyboard.
This story seemingly could be culled from today’s headlines.
A good editor would be a useful addition to the author’s team.

I have read all three of the Bleed Out books and this one did tie everything together. Very realistic because all of the events that occurred in the book are talked about daily in our political circles. Straughn explains how "It" was started and you are able to see how the characters evolve into their lives post "It." Thoroughly enjoyed the book. It brought all three together and I look forward to his next volume. Highly recommended for those who enjoy post 9/11 fiction.

SPELLBINDING, WELL WRITTEN BOOK

Very creative writing about what might happen if a series of events happen. I read this in one day and enjoyed the way each scenario had me thinking about the possibility of it really happening. The book touched on some violence but it was not the violence that has my attention . Instead it was the creative story telling that would not let me put this book down.

I finished reading the story, but the story will stay with me for a LONG time!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!

Depressing

This tale was totally depressing with no hope in sight. I kept waiting for someone to step up and be the hero to save the day. It didn't happen.
