"Healing is the greatest act of self-love you can allow your soul to perform." SezFeminine energy has been used for centuries to heal wounded souls - and is a powerful conduit for self-love to move through. We are all in a time of great shifting energy that requires we step back from the masculine and into the heart of the feminine so that we can heal wounds we've been carrying throughout our lives. We have attempted to heal ourselves through action, control, and willpower - but now is the time for us to inhabit the greatest power there is; love. Through the art of holding space and allowing ourselves to bear witness to the shadows within, we can intentionally let go of that pain and align with the wholeness that is who we are.Healing HER is a collection of intention-based poetry and prose that promises to align you with your own self-healing superpowers. By intuitively resonating with the nurturing qualities of the feminine psyche, we are able to recalibrate our minds, bodies, and souls back into a nourishing state, from which even the deepest wounds can be healed. This book was created as an intuitive conduit for our own journey back to self-love and allows us to hold space for the darkness - those peaty, blackened soils that provide the most richness for personal growth. Through this book, you will engage with the strong emotions that provide meaningful insights into who you are as a human - and what you are as a soul.
These books have been created for sensitive souls who want to heal and empower themselves through the profound power of story medicine.
Through the spoken word, journaling, meditation, poetry & mindful listening, you will be guided back to the essence of yourself - the whole, validated, worthy, confident & self-guided reality of who you already are.
The mission of Sez' work is to provide you with a mirror of the voice you already have in your own head. The words used in all of these meditations, storytellings and poetry come from living in the wilderness and being closer to that unconditional Heart that speaks of kindness, healing & presence.
This is the place where words are planted as seeds into the very heart of your being - and where you will be able to rewrite your emotional health story; blossoming from truth.
I came to this read this book because I wanted to tap into more of my feminine energy - as a man. This was an incredible read -and I enjoyed the introduction as I wasn't aware of how this energy works. As a guy, I really got this book of poetry and prose - it's unlike the 'Instagram poet' trends going on.
"Do not use your pain to validate your loneliness, to excuse your isolation, to justify your fears, to keep you stagnant in places that at least you know. Expand beyond this limited belief and if nothing else know this: You are not your pain, and this pain is not yours."
"Be not like the fragile flowers, I ask of you, who blossom in the perfect but fleeting conditions of high summer - but like the small life that reverberates silently in the dead of winter, in the relentless darkness."
"Nurture your love in truth, for to demand it out of anger, or hate, or loneliness is not to know love at all."
"Sometimes to heal a wound is to learn how to simply live with it."
I found when it comes to poetry I really have to connect with what’s actually going on to therefore enjoy the book. In saying that the author does a really good job in inspiring women when it comes to feminism in the real world perspective but for me, what led be to be a disjointed is when she related to motherhood and feminism in that way. Furthermore, she does have good points when it comes to her poetic nature, but also some of them left me wanting more?. nonetheless, I did enjoy this book. I wouldn’t reread it. I was hoping to annotate it, but not this one. It wasn’t strong enough in my opinion.
I loved the differentiation of longer narratives and short poems. It was a beautiful balance of craft. The writing was beautiful, and the overall collection completely moving. Definitely a novel I needed to read just before the start of the new year.
Kristiansen has given us fifty-nine poems. I will comment on just a few of them. I am a very tough reviewer, so forget the star count. For a first hint at Kristiansen’s human insight and power, turn to the short poem There Is No Love Loss. The longer poem, The Most Sacred of Tools, will benefit from a second or third reading. The value of women in society: clear here. For relationships, turn to I Waited, which has a pleasant surprise ending. Spoiler alert: this is the entire short poem, The Way of the Sacred Feminine: “is about joining things /that were never meant /to be apart. //The mind, the body, /power and vulnerability, /the determined foot //and the loving heart.” For a powerful narrative/descriptive poem, turn to Salt Encrusted Hair Strands, which include unusual work, and your personal rating may well be higher.s this: “Let what takes you home /take you inward /and not to the places /of longing,…” My personal guidelines, when doing any review, are as follows: five stars means, roughly equal to best in genre. Rarely given. Four stars means, extremely good. Three stars means, definitely recommendable. I am a tough reviewer. This is an interesting and challenging book.
I was gifted this book by a girlfriend at a time when I needed it the most. It is a beautiful collection of poetry and prose for the female spirit. I would only read between 2 and 4 pages a day as I believe that poetry is meant to be savored the same way I hide away fudge bought at a country store savoring one small piece at a time.
The poems in this book are meant to provide a conduit as I worked on my journey towards self healing, finding my worth, and self compassion and self love. The poems and prose touched my heart in the right places and reminded me of my authenticity and truths! I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful lil' collection to all females, whether you think you need to be healed or believe you already are. At least one of the truths, if not, many more, will speak to something in your heart, mind or soul. I promise 🙏🌻💜
Note- I was given this book for free via my blog so I could review it:
I am not a fan of poetry but when I decided to review it for my followers , I was prepared to dislike it and be honest.
However, I loved it! It’s an exceptional piece of work from its complexity to its simplicity. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to be intentional with their healing.
This is a must read for divine feminine and powerful self love healing! I found reading the entire book aloud in one sitting while repeating the ones I'd struggle to say. The ones I struggled to say out loud were always the ones that spoke to areas requiring healing!
The poetry was okay, nothing that really resonated with me but I could see how others would love it. *However* whoever did the formatting for Kindle dropped the ball. There were several mistakes that made reading more difficult than needed including giant letters blocking the text
I love poetry and this book has not inky great poetry but the words truly spoke to me after 4 years of great loss and hardships and cam across my path to healing deep seeded pain. I highly recommend this book to anyone healing from narcissistic abuse of a lover.
I loved her awareness and grew from her depth of experience. I found myself both agreeing with some of what she expressed and also found much healing and understanding. I do recommend this to anyone who seeks to explore and heal their life.
As a mother and wife you sometimes forget you are still a woman. You know what you feel, but sometimes its with a bit of guilt or shame. This wonderful author puts some of those thoughts and feelings into beautiful prose.
This book is so moving. It is beautiful and profound and thought provoking. It has touched me so much as I go through yet another breakup that I am going to use it to journal through this current mess to get back to myself.
Beautiful and uplifting. It really spoke to me where I'm at right now, and I enjoyed the imagery that Sez created. I will definitely be looking into more of her writing, and maybe returning to this particular volume as the need for comfort and bolstering arises.
I found this book as I just got out of a relationship and this book was such a gift and empowering read. Really helped me to remember to step into my power of loving and healing energy. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The book was not the greatest but did find some poems really helpful and beautiful. Some poems I did skip but there were some that truly spoke to me and touched me for sure.
I was looking for a feel good book that would help remind me of how special I am. How great it is to be female and to be a part of a supportive environment even if it's only for a short while.
This book has a lot of healing components. A lot of self praise. I would definitely recommend this book to someone who is starting to love themselves. This is a good book to read when you’re on a path of self-love.
The poetry and imagery in these poems was beautiful to read. I read it sporadically over a few months. I feel like I could come back to these poems again at different points in my life, and I would have a new perspective on them again.
I found some really meaningful and poignant poems in these pages. There were a few times where it seemed there were typos, which distracted from the overall impact of the works. Overall I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to wallow in the difficulty of healing and loving yourself.
This book was so good! It came to me when i needed it most. I got it from Kindle Unlimited, it is so good that this and the follow-up book are in my cart. Will recommend to several of my friends who are going through similar things as I.
Deep within our souls lies a faint memory of a life before and beyond the moment of today. Sez Kristiansen magically opens a sliver of this memory and invites you to step inside, to explore and re-experience the depth of who we have always been.
This is probably one of my all time favorite poetry books. I connected with so many of the poems deeply. The feminine energy, happiness pain and other emotions are expressed so well. This book came to me when I’m really needed it.
It wasn’t what I expected but I still enjoyed the read. There were a few poems I didn’t fully understand but didn’t deter me from finishing this short read.
