I have 14 days to get married before I'm sued within an inch of my life... When I was a teen, my friends and I created the Dirty Thirty pledge. It's simple-- if you're rich before you turn thirty, you promise to screw thirty different women in a single year. Unless you're married first. With billions in the bank, no ring on my finger, and my thirtieth birthday just two weeks away, the guys are eagerly compiling lists of one night stand targets for me. I thought I'd look forward to a year of faceless-fun. But when I close my eyes, there's only one face I see. The girl that got away. I'd kill for a second chance with her. So when we run into each other at a music festival, I know what I have to do. Two weeks. That's all I have to win her back. I won't waste my last chance.
This novel contains a hot billionaire hero who won't waste his second chance at putting a ring on the finger of the woman he loves. NO cheating, lots of kindle-melting action, and always a happily ever after!
I liked it, but not entirely! I found Frankie kind of a jerk when he was younger. Glenn is just a piece of work who you can't really call a real friend. I understand when you're a teenager that you are a bit loose and all, but that still isn't an excuse to behave so bad. It was 8 years ago they saw each other and the book is 8 chapters long. So that was okay.
I know it's a second chance one, but I hate stories that are like so many years between and then suddenly they see each other again and all good is in the world. All though I'm glad it was that way in this one!
Way better than what I expected and a very quick read.
I was definitely hooked with the aspect of the not treating because the assumptions were crazy and I would definitely understand her problem With everything that went on in college.
I still think Glenn’s reason for wanting to continue with the pledge were valid and also he does not deserve a redemption arc nor a continued friendship.
Because that is a very crazy thing to do to your so-called best friend and business partner of many many years!
Absolutely loved this book. The idea behind "The Dirty Thirty Pledge" is definitely a good one. Frankie and Annabelle were such a great couple. Two soulmates who were torn apart by a misunderstanding when they were younger. They meet again after years of avoiding one another. Frankie has never stopped loving Anna and she has never stopped loving him. The pact he entered into with his friends when he was 17 tore them apart. Being young and foolish Frankie didn't know how to explain to Anna how the pact had nothing to do with how he really felt about her and that it was just a thing he and his friends did in jest. Anna has had to live with what happened when they broke up and all that has happened since. Frankie sees running into her as a second chance at winning the woman he loves back. He also has to deal with Glenn one of his two friends he entered the pact with and the threat Glenn poses in ruining the second chance he has been given. Now that Anna and Frankie are older now and seem to be able to express their concerns about what happened then and what they both want things seem to be looking up. This was such a great read. Though at times I wanted to scream at Glenn for being such a bully when it came to trying to force Frankie to hold up his end of the pact. I loved how the story ended with an HEA and can't wait to read Glenn and Wallace's story.
I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Frankie and Anna was a good read and I recommend this book. Frankie wants a second chance but will Anna give it to him? He has two weeks to win her back. I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Readers Copy of this book.
Annabelle and Frankie were sweethearts when they were young. He left their small town for a better future. When he left, he broke her heart. But, they never stopped loving each other. I liked this fast paced storyline. I’ve read quite a few of this authors books, and they are usually well written. Even though the it was a predictable storyline, I liked it.
Very original and entertaining. I love the hot passion and the beautiful feelings evoked by the flawless writing style of the author. This novella packs a twisted plot. It starts with a great couple of chapters from the man's POV as he returns to his hometown in the middle of a music festival he's scouting for talent. He comes face to face with a woman from his past that he's still deeply in love with. However, one of his friends has a nasty surprise in store for him. A pledge they took as horny teenagers that's come back to haunt him.
I really liked the tension and drama that this threat over Frankie's head adds to the story, and the way it plays to set the vibes in his past relationship with Annabelle as well as the obstacle it poses in the present again.
It's original as a device to stir trouble, though it's also a bad recomendation for both his and his friend's character. I certainly wouldn't fogive him and I'm not sure how it's going to play out if he gests his own story in this series.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the music theme, the problems that plague Annabelle amd the wonderful feeling of a second chance romance finally finding a happy ending.
I read this book with Kindle Unlimited. I realize that this is a short story, but it lacked depth. There was no character connection, no chemistry and the sex scenes didn't seem to help at all.
Right years ago, Frankie lost the girl of his dreams. Fast forward eight years, they reconnect at a festival and it's like they never lost contact.I
Anna knows that by going to the festival in her hometown, she may run into her ex. The same one that broke her hart. When they finally see one another, sparks fly, but can Anna put the past behind her for a future with her first love?
I thought that this was a really good read. Frankie and Annabelle will steal your heart right from the start. The story felt realistic to me. I could easily picture a group of guys making this kind of bet. Not that I approve, but as I said realistic. It was easy to feel the genuine affection between Annabelle and Frankie even after so many years and their painful breakup. Heart melting emotion, sweetness, steam and drama will send your own heart on a bit of a roller coaster ride as this couple gets their second chance to get it right. By my own accord I am posting a candid review.
I went into this expecting cheesy and that's exactly what I got. The book is too short for proper character development, perspectives, or explanations. Everything is a little too feel good, all problems are fixed in a few pages or 3 lines of dialogue, and the ending rather falls short. The writing is okay, but the story isn't the greatest. The romance and sex are pretty nice though, making it a decent read. The cover is kinda ridiculous, feeling extremely out of place but that's not uncommon.
The story was really short but hot. It wasn’t one of my favorites because I didn’t care for the premise of the story or did I like some of the ridiculous characters. Oh well when you read multiple books by an author there are bound to be a few that you don’t care for. Until next time y’all happy reading.
This book was ok, I liked the main characters. I was a bit disappointed with the ending, Glenn's reason for his behaviour was a real let down and although there was an epilogue it didn't add anything to the story.
Wanted to enjoy it more. The way it suddenly resolved things between two of the guys felt incomplete. Need more clues or something. Good read still but was lacking something
This was just OK. I found the male lead to be ridiculous maybe? I don't know what word I'm looking for but he caused all his problems by not being honest and using his words. Poor communication all around the friends were irrationally crappy.
This is by far the dumbest book I have ever read. Is the author a 12 year old boy? I can’t believe that she actually published this series. I’m dying of second hand embarrassment for her. What a pathetic storyline. No way would that ridiculous pact be enforceable by a court of law. No one can force someone to have sex if they don’t want to. These aren’t 30 year old men, they are pre pubescent little boys playing as men. Frankie is bad enough to never have gone after his supposed love of his life for 8 years!! He had 8 freaking years to make things right with her but since he is a pathetic excuse making beta boy, he never bothered to. Goes to show how much he really cares, right? And if that’s not bad enough, he keeps two low life pathetic fuck boy friends even after one screws him over royally. This same “friend” then goes and threatens him with a lawsuit if he doesn’t screw 30 women in a year as was written in a pact made as 6th or 7th graders. Also, this “friend” calls Frankie’s “love of his life” a bitch. Real classy guy. And please, let’s not forget a woman wrote this BS. Disgraceful!
How absolutely stupid does this lady think her readers are? I have never heard of her before this book but I can tell you for sure I will never read another book by her ever again.
PURE TRASH!! I would have rated it zero stars if I could. Hell, negative 5 stars is more like it.
I really hate it when books like this make the h try to take some of the blame for the H’s betrayal. In college, the h found the H with his buddies making a list of girls he’d like to f*ck if they broke up before his next birthday; this list included her roommate, her best friend, some of the football “groupies” and many other girls she knew. When she was justifiably hurt and angry, he told her it “wasn’t a big deal”, not to “get freaked out about it”, it “didn’t mean anything” and that she was “making a big deal out of nothing”. She broke up with him and he did NOTHING; he didn’t call her, try to see her or do anything to earn her forgiveness or get her back but she said, “He never sought me out … and I never went to see him either. We’re both at fault.”
Not only did the H never apologize or try to get her back, he actively avoided her by having his friends let him know where the h was on the rare occasions that he came back to town so that he didn’t have to see her.
They finally ran into each other after 8 years and after a five minute conversation (in which he STILL didn’t apologize or admit ANY wrongdoing), the h “could see how much he had changed” and immediately jumped into bed with him. DNF

When Frankie and his friends Glenn & Wallace make a juvenile, all you can have sex bet before age 30 called the Dirty Thirty, Frankie had no idea it would cost him the girl he loves when she finds out about it. Years later he’s back in town & runs into Annabelle at a music festival. As old feelings surface he knows he will do whatever it takes to get her back. But when Glenn enforces the Dirty Thirty bet, will Frankie risk losing Annabelle a second time?
I think Annabelle could have played a little bit harder to get, especially with the hurt & anger she felt when they broke up. I’m not sure if I would continue being friends with Glenn. A good second chance romance & looking forward to reading more from this series!
Frankie & Annabelle Each book in this series is a steamy second-chance romance for three friends, Frankie, Wallace and Glenn. In high school the boys devised the “Dirty Thirty pledge”: If still single (unmarried) by age 30, that person has to sleep with 30 different women in 30 days.
Frankie & Annabelle we’re together in college until she found out about the pledge. They had a fight & broke up, but 10 years later are still in love. See where Frankie stands with his unforgotten love and the dirty pledge he made back in high school.
“I’m deadly serious about this. I want to be with her, and I want her problems to be my problems.”
Frankie and Anna broke up years ago because of callous behavior and a stupid pact that was made back in high school.
Now all these years later that same pact is coming back to haunt them once again. Can Frankie and Anna over come it this time around? It already destroyed their love the first time.
This was a great second chance read.
Although I wish Anna made him work for it a little more at first. After being apart for so long after how it all ended back than. Also Glenn wasn't my favorite though so I hope if he gets a book he not only redeems himself but I hope his lady love puts him through his paces
I used to love Penny Wylder, but I'm finding my taste has changed to requiring more... depth? At least this was a quick 1 hour read so I didn't waste too much time. Not sure why I picked this up in the first place as it was a second chance story. I did not like the h- the initial (college?) breakup made zero sense to me and she let that chase her away from college completely? And the H's friends can go take a flying leap- and I'm supposed to want to read their stories in sequels? Uhhhh NO. Not happening. I think this is the last Penny Wylder I'll pick up. She writes well and is good for a quick fix but clearly my reading taste has changed.
Frankie made a pact with his two best friends when he was in high school. But now that he is weeks away from his Dirty Thirty Frankie has other priorities he is focusing on. Being back home Frankie is hoping that he can make amends to his Ex, the one that got away. With Frankie being back home Annabelle didn’t know what to expect running into him. She never expected all of the old feelings to come back again. Will these two be able to reconnect and get Frankie out of his sticky situation. Love how this one ended.
To me, the most boring writing style of them all, is when there is page after endless page of narrative. Then, an occasional line or two of conversation. Then right back to the endless, needless narrative. I usually skim over the narrative, looking for conversation. I find I miss nothing of any value. This book takes the page after page of needless narrative, to a new level. And it bored me into giving up, almost before I had even started reading. For me, this is not a book I would recommend.
This story is totally different from any other books I read so far. The story itself was captivating, intriguing, beautiful, and happy ever after! Frankie is a man who know what he wants and it's Annabelle. I will not spoil it for anyone so if you haven't read a book from Penny Wylder yet this is a great book to start with. The writing was done beautifully and flows throughout the book! I didn't see any errors which is great! Great freaking work again Penny Wylder 😘
Absolutely loved this story!!! Frankie and Anna have a second chance at love even when the reason they broke up in the first place keeps coming back to haunt them. Looking forward to reading about the other guys in the pledge.
Rich beyond belief . Very handsome and in love with Anna . I loved this book what a great guy . Knows he messed up and acknowledges it and fixes it. Great HEA and awesome 5 star read . I loved every bit of it
