A pretty good book, but it's very, very, very repetitive. Very. He quotes scripture and then will go back and quote the same scripture passage maybe a dozen times more, each time emphasizing something different within it.
Surprisingly, with there being 100 signs, there are not many that have not already been fulfilled or are not in the process of being fulfilled. There are many 10 or so that haven't started yet at all.
The signs are mostly a bit vague, such as 'dishonesty increases' or 'people will become prideful.' I was hoping for some really specific prophecies, but alas.
Learn which signs have already occurred, which are transpiring now, and which will shortly pass in this new edition from best-selling author and master gospel teacher David J. Ridges. Very informative and helps you feel better about what is coming. I listened to the audiobook. I may get the actual book, so I can mark it in the margins- you need to take notes.
One of the best Signs of the Times books! And it’s the best for the fact that the author never speculates on rumors or mythology on some of the signs - he will simply say “we don’t have enough information, and we will wait for the further light to understand.” I want to share with my 11 year old because it’s not frightening, but hopeful and exciting because BOY oh BOY are we seeing some of these things happening I. More prominent and obvious ways.
Such a great book. The first part deals with misconceptions about the signs of the times and reassuring us of the glorious promises and need to not fear or be troubled living in the last days. The signs were easy to understand with easy and clear explanations. No effort was taken to speculate on what we do not know. I like when an author can say that we do not know much about something. Great resource for those looking to learn more about the signs of the times.
I really enjoyed this. I felt uplifted instead of scared at the second coming. There a few things that I don't want to be here for, but not because of the consequence I have brought on. A great war invovling all the world, all weapons available will be used. Not a thing I want to endure if I can avoid it. But to know that if He comes tomorrow I may be lifted up with the righteous to join him. That sounds spectacular. A great read.
The end of time is something that has always worried me. I'm a worrier. I read this book in hopes that I would be more informed about what is going to happen, I like that. It is true that those in the last days will not fret, that they will look forward to Christ's coming with excitement. I think this book helped me to put a lot of my fears to rest and help me change my perspective as one of those faithful followers. Yep, that's just another sign that Christ coming is getting closer.

Beautiful organized!! We got this for Christmas. It is easy to read straight through with scriptures, examples, and commentary, or just flip to the sign you want to read about. Beautiful printed and laid out. Includes some beautiful artwork too. It is a great way to study the second coming and discuss with family and friends. Highly recommend. We keep it out for easy reference.
I have been fascinated with the Second Coming off Jesus Christ all of my life, so I enjoyed reading this book. I like how Ridges puts these signs (there are many more than 100) in categories of fulfilled, being fulfilled and yet to be fulfilled.
I loved this book! It was nicely laid out in a very readable format. Each sign was backed with scripture plus a few good comments. It increased my faith as I learned all that has already been fulfilled or is currently in the process. I found it spiritually uplifting and so informative!
I kept a journal while reading this book and compared it to what is actually happening today … which seemed really relevant. It is very scripture based with no speculation. I appreciate all the work Bro Ridges puts into his books.
I loved this book. It is a scriptural account of the signs of the times. Not meant to alarm but to help faithful Latter Day Saints to recognize them. David J. Ridges is very knowledgeable and has a good knowledge of the scriptures.
The author seems very qualified to offer such a detailed explanation of the sign of the times . After reading, my immediate response was, I hope I can "improve" as was concluded in this book. Great job David Ridges!
I absolutely loved this book with the scriptures backed up by modern day prophets. To survive the last days, we shouldn’t panic but to read our scriptures and listen to the Holy Ghost.
Well written and well organized. I liked knowing right away whether the sign had been fulfilled or not. The book was more comfort than frightening. I enjoyed it a lot.
I read this straight through, but it would work nicely as a reference guide as well. So neatly organized, fascinating subject, and I appreciated how Ridges didn’t delve into speculation, but kept everything very factual.
I was looking for some hard core Second Coming information when I started this book but soon realized I wasn’t going to find it here. It centered on the author’s CES career and spiritual experiences which was fine and nice but fluffy. I found myself reading only the 100 headings and a few of the scriptural references. Didn’t really need to read the rest.
