Mounting Deuce

Addison Winters has a way of writing that pulls the reader into the story and making them family. This book is no different. It definitely is necessary to read the series in order due to the character development and plot line. This book takes off where book one ended.
I will say that you have a problem with a plot regarding a woman who has a relationship with a father and his son (not at the same time but at different points) then this book is not for you. If you enjoy books Addison Winters has written in the past then this series will be great for you. Looking forward to the last book to come out to see how it all ends but truly am hooked with what I have read thus far.

I love Addison Winter's books! She takes you on many a twist and turn while still developing rich and complex characters. Winters is fearless in her writing. She is willing to let you question her character's actions while still completely sucking you into the story. Alex faces a journey of self discovery and learning what she really wants- Mason (the boy) or Hayden, (the man) and Mason's father.The sex scenes are hot and seductive- definitely not repetitive as you find in many other books. Be aware that they are explicit and adventurous. While the sex is definitely hot, it's also about Alex's personal journey for independence and taking what she wants. She's a relatable character that you can imagine having a glass of wine with while she tells you her story. How can she decide what's best for her while also caring about everyone else? I loved that this was an older woman with a younger man that allowed her to experiment and venture outside the box. And Hayden- every woman wants a little Hayden in their life, and probably a little Mason too. Secondary characters are fun and definitely flesh out the story. Again- the sex is hot and descriptive- I personally found the descriptions to be appropriate and realistic. The pacing is fast- I read this in one sitting (staying up till 3am to do it) You want to race to the end to see what happens next while still lingering over both the tender and steamy scenes. I did find myself talking to Alex wanting her to make the choice I wanted but the ride and the wait is so worth it. Be prepared- it does end on a cliffhanger, but you want Winters to hurry and finish the third book. You definitely need to read the first book in the series to understand where things are going, but trust me- it's worth the read (it's also phenomenal). Winters definitely made the dean's list as a must read in my library!

It was a page turner. The author has you trying to figure out who needs to be with who and I must say I am pulling for Hayden and Alex to stay together. You want to read the first book before reading this one. I can’t wait to see what comes next and who Alex ends up with.

Just to be completely transparent, I know Addison Winters personally, and I edited the book.
She allowed me to read her book as she was writing it, and I ended up helping her edit it because I enjoyed the book so much. I kept asking for more and more chapters and not just a few chapters at a time because I was really getting into the characters and the "real-life" situations — great storyline...genuine and comfortable. The story and characters are relatable yet fun. It is like you know these people, or that you could actually be these people. The sexy bits didn't hurt at all! Just when you think you know what you want, the Universe tells you otherwise, and you can't be any happier!
I highly recommend this book. It is an easy read and great for some fun!

I really wanted to like this one. It started out GREAT! I enjoyed it up until he left to go pick up his daughter on Saturday. Then it just seemed to crawl. And sadly, it lost my interest. I could not get back into this story.
So I skipped around and then finally made it to the last chapter. Is this a cliff hanger??? I truly cannot decide.
Overall, 3.5 stars out of 5.

This book is AMAZING, the way the writer pulls you into the story from the very beginning makes it hard to put the book down, it's funny, down to earth, exciting and very STEAMY. You will find yourself laughing and maybe blushing some to. A must read for everyone!

Well this book has it lot desire, deceit and love. When Hayden and Alex get involved and have a whirlwind romance will they learn that they are the ones the other has been looking for? Will Alex be able to tell Mason how she truly feels about how her life is going? This book will be an eye opener for sure. This story was written so you would keep on wondering what was going to happen next.

I really liked this book and the writing was good. It was an easy enjoyable read and was very happy with the pace the book is written. I loved the female lead character and her daughter and can only hope to have that with my daughter one day.
I wasn't convinced by the Grayson (Deuce) I just wanted more alpha from him as his character had all the potential but lacked the edge that usually grips me to a story.
I am hoping there is a continuation of this story as I feel there is so much more to know and follow. I have rated 4 stars for this reason.
