A bold start to a new series that I will look forward to following
Scott Edison is a now disgraced spy but only because he brought down the head of MI6!!....although neither were charged they both ‘carry a grudge’ and come head to head in this complex BUT accessible story
So, Ethereum, what is it? Well in short its a version of Bit Coin and a sinple explaination is that some terrorists are using this currency as a means to stage a massive terror attack in London!, but there is so much more to it than that!, Ethereum and other cyber currencies are explained well as are the processes involved in it and yes it tekkie but I really enjoyed learning about it bit by bit!😃as the story unfoldeds, as a side note I am not 100% sure that the use of just Ethereum works well as a title to give the real feel for this book and what is involved in it, its a new word for most of us, maybe Terror Plot Ethereum?? however as say not a criticism just my thoughts
The story has everything you would want and expect from a great modern spy thriller and all plays out really well, its engaging, tense, exciting and thorough and one of those books I had playing all through in my mind as reading, as for Scott, he was great, really likeable character who was just on the right side of boundary pushing to do what he had to, I also warmed to Mo and others quickly and even Hughes the baddie I was still fascinated by
Well written and paced and informative I cant wait for book 2 and to see what they all encounter next
A book I finished and had it been a book and not kindle app I would have thunped it closed and shouted Bravo!

By far the best book I have read that delves into the world of dark web and cyber currencies with just enough explanation of both to keep the story flowing for a novice like me but not so much that you get tangled up in the jargon and lose the thread of the overall plot.
Over and above that aspect this is an excellent spy thriller with plenty of action and intrigue and wholly believable characters with great back stories to keep you invested in them without overplaying the character introduction side of things.
The use of the dark web and cyber currency to plot and attempt terror attacks on London was a very realistic look into what is probably going on (and hopefully being successfully thwarted) right now somewhere in the world but the bulk of the action remains in the real world with good old fashioned theorizing and detecting and teamwork.
A fast paced thoroughly enjoyable thriller- I look forward to future books starring Mr Edison.

An absolute cracker of a debut novel. Well-researched and perfectly balanced between attention to detail and maintaining pace, it is easy to suspend disbelief as everything from the inner workings of MI5 to dark web chat rooms and cryptocurrency has an authentic feel to it. A well-crafted story with a few twists and changes of direction but ultimately logical and nicely structured plot.

The characters are great, with complex and layered back stories and relationships, centred of course on a flawed, troubled but ultimately highly skilled superspy Scott Edison. Edison is an intriguing character and there is huge potential for a phenomenal thriller series here. If crime fiction is your thing, you owe it to yourself to add this one to your collection!

Scott Eddison is persona non grata at MI5 and he is grieving for his wife so when an unexpected offer comes from MI5 to work on behalf of them he grabs it with both hands even though he is a little wary of the repercussions.
This was a bit of a slow burner and the first part of the book was a little complex but necessary to give insight of how Ethereum fitted and where Scott fitted in, this is a great spy thriller and the terrorist plot was really plausable and I really got to like the characters especially Scott. I do hope there will be more books soon as I will definitely looks them out.
A great spy thriller from an unknown to me author what could be better.

Ethereum by N C Mander
This is a rollercoaster ride of a book. It combines cyber crime with a terror plot and builds to a breath holding climax. At the centre is a damaged and grieving ex spy who was the best of the best. I really enjoyed this book. It's a perfect summer read. The plot is complex but not overally so. Happy to give this book 5 stars and to recommend it to fellow readers. I'm looking forward to the next instalment.

I admit it took a little while to get into this adventure but once I had things moved along nicely. I think as this will be a series there was a little more background to the main character, Scott Edison, which is why I felt it a little slow to start with. I admit I hadn't a clue what Ethereum meant, (I did an internet search), and as someone that isn't that techie minded I still don't really understand but that didn't distract from the storyline. I can recommend this to anyone that likes spy thrillers and can't wait for the second book to come out.
