Necropolis: Case Files of the Undead: Book One

Rate this book
"In the closing days of World War II, the Nazi occult experiments were successful in bringing the dead back to some semblance of life. But it was too little, too late, and the Allies still carried the day.

But one can't put a genie back in a bottle.

Quickly, the secrets of necromancy spread far and wide. Only a handful of years later, raising the dead became illegal in every civilized nation. But illegal and nonexistent are two very different things.
Marcus Sage, veteran of the war and private investigator in the Necropolis, the undead ghetto of Chicago, takes a case that is supposed to be a simple matter of a missing briefcase. However, the case propels Sage into the underbelly of Chicago's world of organized crime, politics, and the dark world of necromancy itself.
The trail of the missing briefcase leads to a plot that could set the entire city ablaze, and, if successful, there will be nowhere to hide. Not even for the already-dead of the Necropolis."

As much fun as a warehouse of zombies!

Great fun. Gritty, bantering, big fisted adventures. Our hero has the world stacked against him, but he pulls through with moxie, or at least whiskey. Gonna grab the next one soon.
