This book made me think about my theory once again that Jordan Silver is several different authors writing under one name. I read this book and Babysitter’s Club: Alyssa two days apart and I would swear they were written by two very different people. This story was so good in the way we saw a woman who had been mistreated and made to feel bad about her body. She had such low self esteem it was sad to witness. Logan was a player that took advantage of his looks to bag every woman he could get but when he met her she was the one that made him see deeper and feel deeper. I loved the way he pulled her out of her shell and made her become who she was meant to be.
There was daddy play and, yes, there were punishments but Belle actually pushed for punishment. Who’s to judge what a couple enjoy in their bedroom. 67% of the way into the book, Logan and Belle are having sex. Then there's this line: "My little pig grunted and groaned as she lifted her leg higher in my hand." Did he just call her a pig?! We know she's not a thin woman; Logan describes her early on as being a size 14 or 16. He's supposed to be attracted to bigger women, and this is really a thought he has? There wasn't much of a story here because there was pretty much no conflict. I suppose someone could call the phone call her ex made a conflict, but that was over in a few paragraphs. Her ex never showed up to win her over; there wasn't some third party trying to keep them apart; there wasn't even any internal conflict in Belle or Logan about them being together. I honestly just hated that be called her a pig! If it weren't for that I would have a better view of this book.
