This book completely engulfed me from the first pages. The non-stop movement didn't allow me to interrupt my reading even for a second, and I really wanted to know the name of the real killer and, damn it, I was very surprised! This is a very original book with a new plot. I would read it again
I can confidently say that Dead Breath is like a roller coaster. Lots of actions and minimum of formalities. I would say this is very cool for modern literature.
It's my first review on Goodreads, so I'll try to make it productive. Why I gave 4 stars to this book? It has some errors, BUT nothing serious. Anyway, its story was higher, so sorry for lack of 1 star.
Some moment made me get confused. I mean, when Mireya got arrested and Adrianna picked her up to Las Vegas (where I found Tom's arriving was cool, actually). Well, it's okay, I was thinking and just continued reading. So, I see the FBI agent, who... Doesn't arrest Tom and Mireya? Wow. I must admit, I found that strange. BUT, based on my own experience in a reading of many books, again, I was thinking that it's okay because to know all the answers, you need to read it to the end. That I did.
In the end, I got these answers. I knew why did Adrianna do it all with Mireya. I knew why... I knew everything AND I WAS IMPRESSED! It was NOT an empty waste of my time.
Honored 4 stars!

This is a very action-packed book, one by one! The endless movement could consume me, and (telling without any exaggeration) I could not put the book aside until the very end!
I think it's a contented heavy reading before bed, but great to cheer up;)
I loved the mystery that kept a secret, and all the secret that made me feel excited about the suspense. And all the scenes "behind" were also very interesting.
So. For start, the plot is intriguing. After reading the description of this book, I thought, "this should be interesting."
The main character, Mireya Rothe, has a meeting with her longtime friend named Leandra, who broke the connection between them some time ago. Leandra is killed and Adrianna who another friend of Mireya, is working on the case. Rothe escapes when she is accused of murder.
And then the action begins. A lot of movement, as if watching a movie, frame by frame. There are several "hidden" personalities at once: the real killer, Leandra's secretive ex-boyfriend named Tom, who becomes Mireya's companion, and a mysterious silhouette in a dark sedan that pursues them on the way to the real name of the killer.
Conclusion: Dead Breath is definitely worth reading if you are a fan of mystical detective thrillers.
I'm very pleased with this book. Dead Breath is not a trivial plot with lots of action and originality. I literally couldn't put it down, I wanted to finish reading - the book does not a single chance for a break. So, the main character is Mireya Rothe, who is accused of the murder of her friend Leandra. Mireya doesn't remember the night of the murder. They haven't spoken for a long time, but the police are sure she had a motive. Mireya escapes to find the real killer. She receives calls from Leandra... from the other world, who guides her towards answers. I don't know what else to add - there is a lot of action, a little spontaneity and a lot of twists and turns. I added "read again" to the list.
I got this book on Kindle after the day it was published (maybe I am one of the first readers of it?:) ) and I was hooked from the first pages to the end. I found it non-standard story with many actions. I liked the quick development of the story and the unexpected moments of it.
Reading of that book felt like watching of some movie - lots of actions, lots of turns and more, and more. Really liked the team of Mireya and Tom or as Dennis said, "Daphne and Fred" team. Oh, also I liked to see some humor!
It was really fascinating to turn the pages of this book in anticipation of the next turns. Very bright and bold characters set fire to the background of interesting mysticism. It was nice to look at the story from two sides. I was thinking it needs some drama like a romance, but I changed my mind - I loved the friendship between Mireya and Tom.
I found some moments strange and unreal. But after I moved to the end, where all the cards opened, I understood everything, I was surprised!
The main heroine, Mireya Jalinda Rothe gets phone calls from her dead friend Leandra Ray. The police think Mireya is her killer. So Mireya runs away to find the real killer with her new friend Tom. Oh, Tom became my fav one. His mystery and some charm fascinated me. I liked his humor!
Two lines - the police and Mireya's side. It was nice to see the facts by that way.
And Dennis with Adrianna... It was shocked. Dark sedan, the FBI agent... Very awesome intrigue!
